00:32Thank you. Questions, please?
01:00The circumstances are a lot different. Last year, I was qualifying. Everything was quite new to me. But, you know,
01:07I think this being here, this is a new experience as well by being a seed and having so much
01:15other thoughts in my head.
01:16So, I feel pretty good with how I handled it. I don't think I let it kind of overcome me
01:22too much. But, yeah, I mean, I just did the best I could do this year.
01:31Vicky, how much, if at all, did the peck situation affect you? Did you have pain at all? Did you
01:37feel like you couldn't hit the ball as hard as you wanted to? What was the overall effect of it?
01:40Yeah, I mean, I started feeling the peck a little bit in Strasbourg, like the tournament before. So, yeah, I
01:49mean, I kind of taped it up to kind of support a little bit. And I felt like it kind
01:54of wasn't really giving me a lot of power on it.
01:56I wouldn't say it's hurting me to the point where I can't play because I'm able to play. But, I
02:01mean, it's just been getting better each day. And I'm just happy, like, to be able to play.
02:10Just to follow up to your first answer, you mentioned you kind of felt like you had an expectation as
02:14the number nine seed. Just what was that expectation? Like a certain round or just, you know, what was it?
02:19Well, I wouldn't say a certain round. I don't know. I think when you're a seed coming into a tournament,
02:27I mean, I feel like you want to go far. You kind of want to prove that you are a
02:32top seed and you can do well. But, you know, I'm not one person to honestly put that many expectations
02:40on myself because you see upsets all the time and you never really know what's going to happen.
02:44And so, yeah, I mean, I just wanted to do the best I could. I mean, I did the same
02:49result like I did last year. Then again, Maddie is a really great player. So it's not like, I mean,
02:56she has a really great level. She won a slam. So, yeah, I mean, I'm happy for her. She did
03:03really well today.
