01:00Yeah, for me, it was really hard out there, and I tried to do my best till the last moment,
01:07but I feel like it just, it was getting worse and worse for me through the match.
01:11A lot of mistakes. Yeah, it was just really, really disappointing for me. But again, at the same time, she
01:19was playing well, she stayed calm, and she did all the right things. So yeah, all I can really do
01:25is accept that that's the way it was.
01:28There was a huge bug. Huge.
01:34And then also in the end, I got like a bunch of blisters on my hands. So it was really
01:38hard for me to hold the racket and hit the ball. So just really unfortunate day. Yeah.
01:44Hello. It looks the heat conditions are really getting to the top. What do you remember? What's the hottest time
01:52ever? Because more than today, it's really difficult to imagine.
01:56And you were like nearly closing your eyes because the light or maybe you were not feeling well. It was
02:07very, very extreme. And many shots you missed that it seems like you were not really healthy.
02:17Well, I just said that I wasn't feeling well physically, to answer his question, and that I didn't train yesterday
02:25because of that. And also, I didn't play in these conditions in my other matches. So for when I stepped
02:31outside, it was like, wow, yeah, it's really hot at this time of the day. But normally, I'm able to
02:36handle it pretty well because I'm used to it. But when you're sick, it makes it really challenging for sure.
02:42It's really tough. I feel like the mind and body is just not connected.
02:46And it was really hard for me to focus even when I'm trying my best with my best effort to
02:51put the ball in play like I would normally do. But sometimes it just doesn't work that way, I think,
02:57when you're a bit under the weather. So yeah, it's just unfortunate, but nothing I can really do. And most
03:05important is that I tried my best. I did everything I could.
03:10Yeah, Amanda. Sorry about that. You sound so congested. Anyway, I hope you feel better. How did the rest of
03:20your body hold up this week after not playing for two months? I imagine it's a pretty big challenge to
03:25find your form in just a couple of hours of match tennis.
03:30And what's your assessment of, you know, whether it's the wrist and everything else holding up?
03:37Yeah, I mean, apart from this, not bad, actually. I feel okay physically. Kind of hard to assess. I feel
03:46like I, even considering everything, I could have played better. So pretty disappointed.
03:52So probably just need to figure some things out for what to do differently next time. But yeah, my wrist
03:58feels not so bad after a few matches. So it's positive for sure.
04:04Hi, Amanda. I work for the French press. I'm sorry, but I'm going to ask you a question about your
04:09opponent. What bothered you the most in her game today? And were you a bit surprised by the level she
04:14showed?
04:15No, not surprised. I mean, she's a good player, obviously. She deserves to be where she is. But yeah, I've
04:23never played her before. I think just very heavy conditions. I think the way she was playing the ball was
04:29kind of flying and going up, which was uncomfortable. But I was sort of expecting that from her.
04:34I mean, I watched her play. So it was nothing that surprised me today. So I think I was ready
04:41for the game style she was going to come out with. But I think, yeah, it just made it difficult
04:46for me. And yeah, the respect for her for the way she's playing.
04:52Hi, Amanda. How was it out there with the crowd so much in favor of your opponent? I'm sure it's
04:58nothing new, but how did you find it today?
05:02Yeah, it was not a big deal for me. I mean, I'm used to it. And it honestly doesn't bother
05:07me, if anything. It's a good atmosphere to play in. Yeah, I mean, I feel like I've had a lot
05:14of matches like that. And it really wasn't something that was in my way or affected me.
05:27Just considering you're sick and you had issues with your wrists. I know it's a bit early to tell, but
05:33you think it was the right decision to come and play in Paris instead of switching directly to grass? Or
05:38do you have any regrets about it?
05:40No, I mean, making the third round? I don't even know. Not a bad result. And of course, if I'm
05:48healthy enough, like I want to play. So I don't have any regrets at all. And yeah, it's a privilege
05:54to play in the French Open. So yeah, I'm happy with what I was able to get out of it
06:01and just learn my lessons.
06:05So yeah, and then hopefully the grass season is better for me. Thank you.
