00:00We need to put you to work here in New York.
00:02I'm happy to do so.
00:03And they were just, you know, asking me about, you know, Bob Donnie.
00:06What I said is, as far as I'm aware, the Post reached out to him and they had no comment
00:10to come down here.
00:11And look, like I said, I've said this a million times, I don't see this as a right thing, I
00:16don't see this as a left thing.
00:17I think it's a quality of life and quality of neighborhood, right?
00:20And for them to make this into a partisan issue, I think is just absurd and it's the same old
00:24script.
00:25People just want safe communities, they want clean communities, they want, as you said, quality of life.
00:31It's not good for the store owners, it's not good for the residents, it's not good for business.
00:35It's not.
00:36I get a lot of messages from moms, from students, from teenage girls who walk through these streets
00:41and they say, well, we can't walk through these anymore.
00:43And we're actually going to different subway stations.
00:45So, today Sweeney had this event and I said, of course I'm going to come out and support.
00:49And that's what we're out here today for, is just kind of show support.
00:52And also, like, this stuff shouldn't be happening here.
00:54Soho's right there.
00:55We're in Tribeca right now on this side of the street.
00:57And then right down there is the Financial District.
00:59And this is one of the nicest parts of New York City.
01:02We shouldn't allow our streets to look like this.
