Queer and gender-fluid musician Bimini has urged young people in the LGBTQ+ community to spend less time online and experience more of life in the real world.Reflecting on how social media affects younger generations, the performer, who appears on The Independent Pride List 2026, said many young people now struggle to know what they truly want because they spend so much time on their phones."Touch grass, go outside, have a day off," Bimini said. "Switch off the phones now and then, enjoy yourself and enjoy being young."The musician encouraged young people to explore new spaces, make mistakes and learn through real-life experiences. "Go out, mess up, that's how you grow and figure yourself out," Bimini adds.
