00:00Today's ridiculous charade has made astonishingly clear that the United States Department of
00:05Justice has been weaponized by Donald Trump, former Attorney General Pam Bondi.
00:10She is supposed to be here under oath today, on video, answering questions for the American
00:17people about her role and the direct hand that she had in this cover-up. The entire party is
00:23terrified of Donald Trump and his retaliation as it pertains to the cover-up of the Epstein files.
00:30It's unacceptable. Today's ridiculous charade has made astonishingly clear that the United
00:35States Department of Justice has been weaponized by Donald Trump to ensure that the most massive
00:43cover-up in American history is carried out. And this is being enabled by Republicans in Congress,
00:49Congress, led by Republican Chairman James Comer and Speaker of the House Mike Johnson.
00:54This entire Epstein investigation led by Chairman Comer has been absurd. We have two legal subpoenas
01:03against former Attorney General Pam Bondi. She is supposed to be here under oath today, on video,
01:11answering questions for the American people about her role and the direct hand that she had in this
01:17cover-up. Instead, she is deflecting, she is refusing to answer questions, and she continues to refuse to
01:24answer specific questions about the President of the United States. It is so clear that whether it be
01:31Pam Bondi, whether it be Chairman Comer, whether it be Mike Johnson, the entire party is terrified of
01:38Donald Trump and his retaliation as it pertains to the cover-up of the Epstein files. It's unacceptable.
01:45It is notable that she continues to blame Todd Blanche and Kash Patel. We, of course,
01:51want to speak to them. But I think what I want to make clear to the American public and to
01:55everybody,
01:56and to the survivors especially, is that we are not going to give up on this. I think Republicans
02:01believe that they just kind of carry out these nonsense transcribed interviews and don't show up here
02:08today that we will forget about this. We are just getting started as it pertains to accountability
02:15and justice for the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and any other rich and powerful
02:22person in this country who perpetrated these crimes. I'm going to hand it over to Congressman Min.
02:28Thank you very much. Congressman Dave Min out of California, 47. And yes, I have an election in
02:3340. It's a very important one. Robert Garcia and I have our primary elections on Tuesday of next week.
02:38But I'm here rather than in my district because this is important. We looked the survivors in the eye
02:43last year and made a promise to them that we would try to find justice, find transparency. Republicans
02:49also looked these women in the eye and did not follow through. It's a shame that James Comer is the
02:54only
02:54Republican here today because this is the biggest cover-up in history. This should not be a partisan
02:58issue. Now, as a former law professor, as a lawyer, I just want to note a couple things that
03:04struck out to me. One, the fact that she is appearing as a voluntary witness today,
03:09voluntary interview is important because she's claiming that she's not complying with the subpoena.
03:14She's claiming the subpoena doesn't apply to her because she's no longer with the Department of
03:18Justice. But at the same time, as has been noted, you have two DOJ attorneys in there.
03:22If it's a personal interview voluntarily done, why is the DOJ so heavily involved? It doesn't make
03:27any sense unless you think about it as a cover-up. The second point I want to make, we got
03:32a pretty
03:32important insight today into the flimsy basis on which they're not turning over three million
03:37documents right now. They claimed earlier that, Tam Bondi claimed, that documents that were related to
03:44any decisions to prosecute or not prosecute were being withheld. That is all the witness interviews,
03:49it's all the evidence gathered by the FBI. There's a reason we don't have the smoking guns,
03:53we don't have the video evidence, we don't have the witness interviews because they're claiming
03:56that's all privileged. And that is a bunch of bullshit, pardon my language. Any lawyer will tell
04:01you that our subpoena, whether it's the oversight subpoena or the Epstein Files Transparency Act,
04:06specifically applies to these types of documents. We don't have the real information here because
04:11they're claiming it's all privileged. And that is something that we need to get to the bottom of.
04:15This, I think, actually exposed a lot of what they're doing right now. We need those documents.
04:19This should give us the basis to overturn them. And I'll just echo what everyone else is saying
04:23in there. It's a sham in there. They are not answering any questions. And with that,
04:26I want to turn it over to my friend James Walkenshaw from Virginia. There's a terrible
04:31and tragic irony at play this week because behind these closed doors, the Department of Justice is
04:38continuing to cover up and stonewall the courageous Epstein survivors like Liz here. At the same
04:46time, the same Department of Justice led by Harmeet Dillon and others, Todd Blanche, has launched an
04:54investigation into E. Jean Carroll and those who supported her successful legal effort that found
05:00Donald Trump liable of sexual assault. So the message to survivors of sexual assault from this
05:08administration and this Department of Justice, sadly, is quite clear this week. I want to share one
05:16piece of information, one question that the former Attorney General did answer. She was asked
05:22specifically about Donald Trump, President Trump's awareness of Epstein's crimes before they became
05:31public knowledge. She had the opportunity to say Donald Trump certainly wasn't aware of those crimes.
05:38She had the opportunity to say, I know Donald Trump, and if he was aware of those crimes,
05:43he would have done something. Instead, she said, I don't know. She also said, quote, this is a direct quote,
05:50I'm not certain of the extent of his knowledge. I think that's a perfect example as to why we need
06:01Pam Bondi under oath in a real deposition for the camera so the American people can see and hear
06:08her answers to our questions for themselves. I'll turn it over to the ranking member.
06:13Well, a couple of questions and we're going to go. It's continuing, so we've got to keep going.
06:16A couple of questions. Well, the request is going in today to Chairman Comer to have Todd
06:29Blanche come in. It's clear that after this testimony, that is where a lot of the information
06:33is. And so we're going to, if he doesn't do it, we're going to force a subpoena and try to
06:37get
06:37votes, but he's got to come in. Cash Patel's name was also mentioned,
06:39where there'll be a subpoena for him as well. Cash Patel is number two on the list. So Cash Patel
06:43was multiple times that we had questions about the FBI, the way the files were redacted,
06:48why redactions were done so messy and why there was doxing that happened in certain cases,
06:53survivors. The finger was pointed back at Cash Patel. And so we have questions for Cash Patel
06:56as well. Yes.
06:57Can you characterize a little bit more of the Justice Department's intervention? Did A, do Bill
07:01took the lead on that? And how many times did they intervene? And can you speak more
07:04than that? Well, first, let's be really clear. It's bizarre that the DOJ is also, someone from
07:11the DOJ, a high ranking official, is also acting now as personal counsel to Ms. Bondi. And so the
07:18fact that the DOJ is essentially stopping Ms. Bondi from answering questions and interjecting,
07:23particularly around President Trump, is incredibly concerning. And the fact that it's being allowed
07:29by Chairman Comer is also as concerning. She stopped Ms. Bondi multiple times from answering
07:34questions and interjected multiple times, especially as it's related to President Trump. One last question.
07:45Look, I think there are still half, 50 percent of the documents have not been released to the public
07:50or the Congress. If you're going to continue to get those, that's breaking the law, the Transparency Act
07:54and the subpoena. And of course, we have additional subpoena ideas on the way. We've got to go back in,
07:58guys. Thank you very much.
