00:00Hello, I want to thank everyone for being here today. This will be our 13th interview thus far in the
00:05Epstein investigation.
00:07We will be having former Attorney General Pam Bondi. This is the second time she's come voluntarily.
00:13She came a few months ago for a briefing. Unfortunately, the Democrats got up and walked out of that briefing.
00:22Many of the Republicans asked her questions for a couple of hours during that briefing,
00:27and I appreciate that she's coming back today voluntarily for our transcribed interview.
00:33We have, as I said earlier, this is the 13th interview. We have six more on the books.
00:42On June 9th, we have Leslie Groff, who is an Epstein assistant.
00:47June 10th, Bill Gates. I think everyone knows who that is.
00:50June 26th, Leon Black. June 30th, Doug Band.
00:56July 15th, Kathy Rumler.
01:00And July 23rd, Jess Staley.
01:02So we're continuing to move along, and hopefully today will be beneficial.
01:09I'll be happy to answer a question.
01:10Chairman Cohen, what is your message right now to many of the Epstein survivors who are here today?
01:16They were here behind the Attorney General, the former Attorney General, back in February when she testified to the committee.
01:23She wouldn't turn around.
01:24What is your message to them today about accountability and transparency?
01:28Because many of them say that the Justice Department still has yet to meet them.
01:31Well, I've said this publicly many times.
01:34The government has failed the survivors.
01:36There's no question about that.
01:38And that dates back five presidential administrations.
01:42We're taking this investigation seriously.
01:46The last interview we had, deposition, we had some names mentioned for the first time.
01:52So we're proceeding with that.
01:54We want to get the truth to the American people.
01:57We want to try to provide justice for the survivors.
02:02And again, this case hasn't been thoroughly investigated.
02:07I think that's one thing that we all can see.
02:10When I subpoenaed the estate, I believe with all my heart some of the estate documents that we made public.
02:17We made 100% of the estate documents public.
02:20I believe that there were many in the Department of Justice that had never seen many of those documents that
02:25were in the estate.
02:26And I believe that people that had been looking at the estate had never seen any of the documents that
02:32the Department of Justice said.
02:33I believe there were documents that New Mexico officials had never seen that were in the Southern District of New
02:39York.
02:39I believe there were documents that were in Palm Beach that they had never seen in New York.
02:44So what we're trying to do is just connect all the dots and see if there is a way to
02:51hold people accountable.
02:53Remember, many of these crimes happened 20-plus years ago.
02:56We're going to do everything in our ability to hold people accountable and try to understand how the government failed.
03:04But they did.
03:05They failed.
03:05There's no question.
03:06It's not just this administration.
03:10It goes back several administrations.
03:12So we're going to do everything in our ability to try to get justice for the victims.
03:15So there are documents that still have not been released.
03:18Well, that's what we're going to ask about today.
03:21And we asked about that in the briefing.
03:24And at the time, if I remember correctly, what the Attorney General said, the former Attorney General,
03:29was that they had turned over all the documents that they can legally turn over.
03:34Now, we're going to find out.
03:36Those are the questions that we're going to have.
03:37We're going to go to the first hour.
03:38What document from Maine?
03:41Why haven't they been turned over?
03:43We're going to try to determine whether or not there could be more documents legally turned over.
03:48I want every document.
03:49I don't want anything held back.
03:51And I think the majority of the committee is in the same way.
03:53Does that answer satisfy you, though, if some documents are still always with help?
03:56Well, I don't know.
03:57We're going to find out.
03:57And we'll come out and tell you what she said.
03:59We'll release all the transcripts.
04:00And if anyone is lying to Congress, that's a felony.
04:03Mr. Chairman, are you describing it as voluntary when she was subpoenaed?
04:06Why are you describing it as voluntary after the subpoenaed?
04:10Well, she's coming in.
04:11She didn't do like the Clintons and takes seven months to come in.
04:15I mean, this is – she could have fought it.
04:19She could have fought it.
04:20Mr. Chairman, there are more than a dozen leads in the files.
04:25And these people cannot be brought in under transcribed interviews.
04:29Can you ensure that they would please be brought in under oath?
04:31Well, if you lie to Congress, it's a felony.
04:34So it's – you know, we're bringing them in.
04:38We're bringing people in that have never been brought in before.
04:41Most of the people – what I find fascinating about this is we've brought in Epstein's top assistant.
04:49We've brought in Epstein's lawyer.
04:51And we've brought in Epstein's accountant.
04:52They were never interviewed by the people who were supposedly investigating Jeffrey Epstein and Jelaine Maxwell.
04:59How do you not interview those three people?
05:03But these people just speak under oath.
05:05Yeah.
05:05Chairman Comer?
05:06They're lying to this.
05:07Can you assure us that today we will get information from Pan Bondi about why the files are released in
05:14the manner that they were released?
05:16Specifically, the redaction process, survivors' names over and over and over were exposed, yet we see time and time again
05:25perpetrators' names have been redacted or they shouldn't have been.
05:29Are we going to get some answers about that?
05:31I hope so.
05:31Those are the questions we're going to ask.
05:33And we're doing this.
05:34We want justice for the survivors.
05:36We do.
05:37We've got Nancy Mays and Lauren Boebert and you've got the Democrat members.
05:43Everyone has gone to great lengths to try to get this far.
05:47And I hope that you all will see many of these people have never been interviewed before.
05:52I don't know how that can even be possible.
05:56So we're going to bring them in and we're releasing every transcript.
06:00You'll know everything that's been asked.
06:02And if there are questions at the conclusion of this that weren't asked, that you all felt should be asked,
06:08then let us know and we will get those questions answered.
06:12We're going to do everything in our building.
06:13Madam Chair, bottom line, you know, Epstein is gone, but there are many people that were on the island and
06:18there are many people that were involved that have not been brought to justice.
06:23Is that what you're hoping is right?
06:24We're going to do everything we can.
06:26We want to bring people to justice.
06:27If anyone was involved in these hideous crimes, they should be held accountable.
06:33We're doing everything we can.
06:34And remember, these crimes occurred decades ago, some of them.
06:39But all along the way, I think the one thing that we can say with confidence as far as the
06:43survivors were failed by the government.
06:47And I hope that we can do the best that we can do in getting answers and getting the truth
06:52to the American people, trying to provide some type of justice for the survivors.
06:57And if there's any way possible to hold people accountable, that's what we want to see happen.
07:03Well, we thank you for being here.
07:05And again, we will continue communications.
07:08And if there are questions that aren't asked, if you think you're not satisfied, let us know.
07:12We'll do everything in our ability to get answers from you all.
07:15Thank you all for being here.
07:17Thank you all.
07:21Well, yes.
07:21I appreciate that they are bringing in people that the government has not brought in before
07:27and that the Department of Justice and FBI were not willing to take these leads.
07:33There are leads.
07:34And so we're hoping to get to some truth and accountability.
07:37This is what matters.
07:38The American public and we deserve the truth.
07:41That's it.
07:42That's all about the truth.
07:43And again, there are a number of people out there that have never been interviewed, that have never been brought
07:48to justice.
07:48And you want to see that happen?
07:50Every single one of them?
07:51Every single one of them.
07:53And if they say, I don't remember, we don't believe them because we remember.
07:58And those questions need to be asked again.
08:01And if there's a deflection, we are going to get to the bottom of this.
08:05Us as survivors, we deserve the truth.
08:07And so does everybody else.
08:09We have you state your name, please.
08:10Charlene Rochard.
08:11And the spelling of that, please.
08:12S-H-A-R-L-E-N-E-R-O-C-H-A-R-D.
08:17It boggles my mind that the Department of Justice released nude photos.
08:24Nude photos.
08:26The Department of Justice released pornography.
08:29That is unacceptable.
08:32And the other thing that's unacceptable are these transcribed to interviews.
08:36We need to see body language.
08:38We want to see the pauses.
08:40We know that these witnesses can go off record and things transpire off the record that the American people are
08:49not able to see.
08:50And we think it is critically important in this moment when Chairman Comer is exactly right.
08:56These women have been failed by numerous administrations.
09:00That is true.
09:01But this is the moment where we need truth, transparency, and ultimately accountability.
09:07And so we're relying on those people in that room to get to the truth.
09:12Lauren Hirsch.
09:13I'm the CEO of World Without Exploitation.
09:16Do you guys believe that Chairman Comer is operating in faith as he leads to investigation?
09:20Yeah.
09:20We've had great conversations with Comer's office.
09:23They've been lovely with us.
09:24We've talked about investigative leads multiple times.
09:27I think they see a need to investigate, which is very helpful.
09:31We just wish that more Republicans would be on the same page with us and stand in solidarity with us.
09:37Hopefully we'll see that in the future.
09:39Could you please tell your name?
09:40Yeah.
09:41Name is Dani.
09:42D-A-N-I.
09:43Last name Bensky.
09:44B-E-N-S-K-Y.
09:46But I do want to make a note also about the importance of body language and inflection in the voice,
09:51right?
09:52There's something called subtext that we all know about.
09:54And when we get a transcribed interview, we have no idea it could be totally lost in translation.
10:00So it's incredibly vital that we see filmed interviews, not just the transcription, under oath,
10:09and have it be publicly released quickly.
10:12Yes.
