00:43Seriously, this is not a payroll disparity problem.
00:48It's a revenue disparity problem.
00:52Right now, as the sport works, there's just no path for the Pirates
00:58or the Guardians or the Rays to have anywhere near the revenues of the Dodgers.
01:05So that's got to be addressed.
01:08But it can be addressed with better revenue sharing,
01:12with taking that next big new TV deal and divvying up so that it addresses this stuff.
01:20And the one thing that I really love that the players proposed yesterday is that reverse luxury tax thing.
01:28It says you'd better spend your revenue sharing money or it's going to cost you.
01:33If your payroll is under whatever that bottom threshold is, you'll be taxed.
01:40Just like if you go over, it'll be taxed.
