00:10but whatever they talked about, it seems like it's worked with the way they've been patient at the plate.
00:16Bill, I think there's nothing more encouraging about this run that they're on than the quality of their at-bats.
00:24I was messing around a little bit with this.
00:26The on-base percentage for this month is 371.
00:32They've only had three months in the last 50 years where any Phillies offense had a better on-base percentage
00:40than that.
00:41Three times in 50 years, and most of those months were driven by much higher batting averages.
00:49I could not find a single calendar month in the live ball era,
00:54so that's like 100 years where their batting average was this low, but their on-base percentage was this good.
01:01And it's just because the at-bats have been so much better.
01:06Isn't it kind of funny, though, to hear this idea that they had one meeting
01:11and talked about having better discipline and more traffic, and that flipped the switch?
01:16They could have just turned on this show three months ago.

01:52The lineup hasn't had a walk rate like this in 100 years.
01:57And whatever it is, traffic, pace runners, not chasing, that is how you win.
