It's Gavin Rodwell's 30th birthday and Andy has to go along with the pretence that it's his. David tells him to go with him to pick up hairdressing supplies. David pulls up outside a seedy pub and orders Andy to go in and buy some drugs. Andy's horrified but David makes it plain he'll do as he's told or he'll reveal Andy's true identity to Michael and report him to the police. Andy returns to the car with a small bag of drugs and David speeds away. David pulls up outside The Dog & Gun and, spotting Callum arriving in his car, orders Andy to plant the drugs in the glovebox. Inside Callum's car, Andy fumbles with the drugs, unaware that Callum is heading back to it with Macca and Gemma Winter. David watches, horrified. Callum's stunned to find Andy in his car and when Gemma sees the drugs he frogmarches him into the pub, demanding answers. Andy makes out he was trying to steal Callum's car and the drugs just fell out of his pocket. Callum prepares to give him a beating. As Callum is about to crush one of Andy's fingers with a pair of pliers, David enters. As Callum is about to crush one of Andy's fingers with a pair of pliers, David enters. As an angry Callum takes David out to his car to take him somewhere to teach him a lesson, he pushes him away and does a runner. Callum, Gemma and Macca give chase on foot and in the car. Callum catches up with David and orders him to climb into his boot. David bangs on the inside of Callum's car boot as he's driven at speed along a street. Callum drives to an abandoned lock-up and David is pulled from the boot by Macca while Gemma locks the doors. David is tied to a post in the lock-up while Macca hands Callum a baseball bat. He scares David with threats of violence but then leaves him tied up to rot. As darkness falls, Callum returns alone to the lock-up. He admits he can't leave David tied up for good but he has a reputation to maintain and so he fetches the baseball bat. Callum drops a hurt David off and he returns home but hides his bruises.

00:00Andy, that was a joke.
00:02Not a funny one.
00:03What's wrong with you? Are you still frightened?
00:05Can I have a word? In private, now.
00:09Private? What does he want?
00:10Oh, it's all right.
00:15Now, what do you want?
00:17Go on, in that favour. I've got a job for you.
00:20All right, what's the job?
00:21It's all right. Cleared it with Nick.
00:22Just to fetch an order from town.
00:24Supplier's let us down, so it should just take a couple of hours.
00:26An order for what?
00:28Shampoo, conditioner, hairdressing products, really.
00:30And why do you need me?
00:32Because it's a two-man job.
00:36Sure about this?
00:38Yeah, don't worry. I know what I'm doing.
00:39You break it, you pay for it.
00:42Thanks. How are you?
00:43Make sure you get him back for his birthday party.
00:46Yeah.
00:49Where are you going?
00:51I'm just helping David pick up some hairdressing products.
00:54Supplier's let them down.
00:56Really?
00:57Yeah.
00:58It's fine.
01:07What are we doing here?
01:09You're a good liar.
01:12Can we just get this done?
01:13Thing is, so am I.
01:15We're not here for shampoo.
01:17What?
01:18I lied.
01:20There is something I want you to do.
01:24You go in there and get me to do this.
01:28I have no choice.
01:29And neither have you, because...
01:31Well, if you don't do as you're told, I'm just going to have a nice little chat with Michael, aren't
01:35I?
01:35I've never done anything like this before.
01:37Well, do I look interested?
01:39Just get out the car and fetch me what I want.
01:42Or we'll have a little trip to the police station and see what they think of your stolen identity adventure.
01:47You wouldn't do that.
01:48You haven't been part of this family very long, have you?
01:50You don't know me.
01:51And you'll be hurting your mum as much as me.
01:53Yeah, well, trust me.
01:54I wouldn't be first to them.
01:57I don't know the first thing about buying drugs.
01:59Well, you've been pretending to be someone you're not for ages.
02:02So tonight, Matthew, I'm going to be a junkie.
02:05Now, go in there and don't come out until you've scored.
02:08And what if I say no?
02:10You're a bright bloke.
02:11You won't.
02:15Good man.
02:17And break a leg.
02:26That was quick.
02:27Yeah, I got lucky.
02:28What'd you get?
02:35I never guessed you were a user.
02:37Yeah, well, we're all full of surprises, aren't we?
02:39But you've got two kids, you don't need that.
02:41Oh, yes, I do.
02:43I think I could get help, counselling.
02:45I mean, if you want, I know people.
02:46This is not fun, Andrew.
02:48It's for Gail.
02:50No, I'm on your joking.
02:51She's never had anything stronger than aspirin.
02:53Right, so what's all this about, then?
02:55You'll see.
02:56Stick your belt on.
03:01Get the drugs on him and get out.
03:02We don't even know if he's in there.
03:04Well, it's his local.
03:05If he's not in there, we'll just wait for him to turn up.
03:08I should be at my birthday party.
03:10How old are you?
03:11Eight?
03:11It's not even your birthday.
03:13Look, it's a stupid plan.
03:15Well, believe me, if there was an alternative, do you think I'd be sat here?
03:17And how am I supposed to get the drugs on him?
03:19What, just ask him to hold them while I go to the toilet?
03:21Right, let me make this clear, yeah?
03:22If you don't do this, I lose Max.
03:25And if you don't do this, then Michael finds out his son's dead
03:29and that you and me mum have been lying to him.
03:31Basically, if you don't do this yet, you go to jail.
03:33So you just sit there and just think about it.
03:35I know it might not be the best plan in the world,
03:37but right now it's the only one we've got.
03:40This is calm.
03:45Never even said that!
03:47Oi, jam up!
03:49Jam up!
03:51Right, OK, we know he's gone inside
03:52and that he didn't lock the car.
03:54What?
03:56Right, plan B.
03:57You hide the drugs in the car,
03:59phone the cops,
04:00Callum gets busted,
04:03and you get to blow your birthday candles out.
04:06I'll make a wish.
04:31Come on, come on.
04:37Oh, no.
04:39Fuck.
04:40Too fat lately, isn't it?
04:43Oh, no.
04:49She's lost my food body.
04:51Oh, she's a nurse.
04:52So?
04:53So she probably wants it for medical research.
04:56Fuck you, Ron.
04:57Oh, yeah.
04:59You hit the wrong motors, isn't it, pal?
05:01Oh, hang on, hang on.
05:02I know you.
05:04Don't you work at a poncy bistro?
05:06Yeah.
05:07Yeah, yeah, it's Gavin.
05:09How's it going?
05:10How's it going?
05:11Not looking too good, mate.
05:13Why are you trying to steal my motor Gavin from the bistro?
05:15I wasn't.
05:16Huh?
05:16Well, it's not looking too good
05:18because you weren't in it when I parked up, so...
05:19Callum, you'd better look at this.
05:22It's coke.
05:28Do me a favour and clean it up now
05:30while I find out exactly what's going on.
05:32And I don't mean shove it up your stout, either.
05:35Easy, easy here.
05:35Shut it and keep walking.
05:39Yeah.
05:40But I didn't know it was yours.
05:41Otherwise, I wouldn't have gone near it.
05:43Out of all the cars in the Hall of Manchester,
05:44you picked that one?
05:46It's a very nice car.
05:49I'm very fond of it myself.
05:50Do you want me to give him a smack?
05:52Maybe later.
05:55Run that next bit by me again.
05:58Well, then, the stuff fell out of my pocket.
06:01The cocaine.
06:03Yeah, the cocaine.
06:05The bag must have split
06:06because it spilled everywhere
06:07and I was trying to clean it up
06:08and then you found me.
06:09Can't give him a smack now.
06:10Why does he get to have all the fun?
06:12Will you two shut up?
06:14I'm trying to think, yeah.
06:15Look, I know.
06:16I messed up.
06:16It was mistaken.
06:16I'm sorry.
06:19You dumped a load of Class A's
06:21on the floor of my car.
06:22Sorry, don't cut it.
06:25So what are you going to do?
06:27Are you going to call the police?
06:29The police.
06:31That's not how we handle things,
06:33aren't they, mate?
06:35If I'm feeling generous,
06:36I'll call you an ambulance later.
06:38What?
06:39I don't like being lied to.
06:41Jen?
06:45Could drive him to a field somewhere,
06:47tie him to a tree
06:48or feed him to some pigs
06:49like in that film.
06:51What, babe?
06:51No, not flaming babe.
06:53All right.
06:54Keep your wig on.
06:58Anyway, why waste the petrol
07:00when we could just
07:01break his legs, yeah?
07:02Nice one.
07:03I like breaking legs, mate.
07:04You really have been watching
07:05too many movies.
07:06You've been trying to do this.
07:07I've been a fool.
07:08He has.
07:09Seen him.
07:12Look,
07:13I've told you everything that happens,
07:15so why don't you just
07:15let us go?
07:17Okay.
07:19What?
07:20You can go.
07:22You mean that?
07:24Nah.
07:26I'm joking.
07:30What are you doing with those?
07:32Well, I'm not going to give you
07:33a manicure, eh?
07:36Are you off your head?
07:37I told you.
07:38I don't like being lied to.
07:41Eeny, meeny, miny.
07:42All right, all right,
07:43I'll tell you the truth.
07:44Naught you, mate.
07:45Oh, come on,
07:46I'm looking forward to that.
07:48What now?
07:52Show him in.
07:58Well, well, well.
08:00Fantasy in your ear.
08:02It was my idea, all right,
08:03not his.
08:04I told him to break into your car.
08:06Why?
08:07To plant drugs in it.
08:09Biscuit has bet
08:09we've got two for the price
08:10for one here.
08:11And then what?
08:12I was going to ring the police
08:14and tip them off.
08:15But he had nothing to do with it,
08:17all right?
08:17I made him do it.
08:18Made him?
08:19How?
08:21Hypnotise him?
08:22Use a remote control on him?
08:23What?
08:24He owed me.
08:26Big time,
08:27so I called it in.
08:28I never gave him a choice.
08:31Is this true?
08:33Yeah.
08:34If I catch you
08:35sniffing round my car
08:36or anywhere near here again,
08:39I'll set these two on you.
08:41Understand?
08:43Good.
08:44Now get out.
08:45I'm not leaving without David.
08:47I ain't finished with him yet.
08:48Look,
08:48just do it, he says.
08:49I'm not leaving you here.
08:50Aww.
08:52It must be love.
08:54That'll be fine,
08:55just go.
09:06So,
09:07what were you thinking
09:08was going to happen
09:09if your little plan worked out?
09:10Police will arrest us,
09:11do us for possession,
09:12bang us up.
09:13Yeah.
09:14What?
09:15I said yes.
09:17Last time I was inside,
09:19I swore I'd never go back.
09:21No birds,
09:22rubbish food,
09:25having to chase cell
09:26with some low life,
09:29not getting to see your mates,
09:30your family,
09:31your kid.
09:33In fact,
09:33the more I think about it,
09:35the more you've crossed a line,
09:37a big one.
09:38Yeah, well,
09:38you shouldn't have provoked us,
09:39should you?
09:40I told you enough times
09:41to leave us alone.
09:41Oh,
09:42so this is all my fault?
09:43Yeah.
09:44If you'd just stayed away
09:45from Carly and Max
09:46and none of this
09:47would have happened,
09:48you could have gone back
09:48to your little skanky life
09:49with your skanky mates.
09:50Who are you calling skank?
09:52Shut it.
09:53You finished?
09:54Yeah.
09:55Good.
09:55Because I'm getting sick
09:56of your whiny little voice
09:58and your little weasel face.
10:00And I'm definitely getting sick
10:01of you interfering in my business,
10:03trying to mess things up,
10:04thinking you can get away with it.
10:06Not anymore.
10:09What are you going to do?
10:13I'm going to have to teach you
10:14a little lesson.
10:16Aren't I?
10:17Where are we going?
10:18Just keep walking.
10:19While you still can.
10:20Whatever you're going to do,
10:21can you just do it here
10:22and get it over?
10:22Nah.
10:23I need somewhere nice and quiet
10:24for what I've got planned for you.
10:26Somewhere no one can hear you scream.
10:28You can threaten me all you like.
10:29I know you're bluffing.
10:30I ain't bluffing.
10:32After what you tried to do to me today,
10:33I ain't playing games anymore.
10:34You drive.
10:35Give us a key, Zen.
10:36Look, I haven't got them.
10:37You've got to get even to her.
10:38Oh.
10:39What?
10:41Get in the car.
10:41Get after him now.
10:54Surprise!
10:56Here I come.
10:58Yes, Jim.
10:59Now, where were we?
11:00Oh, it's getting me.
11:02What are you doing?
11:02I don't need your phone
11:03where you're going, mate.
11:04Me taking me.
11:05If I were you,
11:06I'd be more worried about
11:07if I was coming back.
11:09What are you waiting for?
11:11In your care.
11:17This isn't funny anymore.
11:18Wow, shut it.
11:21Oi!
11:21If you've done my body work,
11:23I'll get in your face.
11:24Well, let me out of here!
11:25Shut it!
11:28Wakey, wakey!
11:29Hey, oh!
11:30Now, now.
11:31That's not very nice, is this?
11:32You're off your head?
11:33Mmm, get him out.
11:34What if he tries to go on?
11:36Break his legs.
11:37Go on.
11:40Where are we?
11:43Just somewhere we can be alone.
11:45That's making it a bit more comfortable.
11:56So now what?
12:00Right, okay, I crossed the line.
12:02Right, I hold my hands up.
12:04Or I would if I could.
12:06Is this a joke to you?
12:08Or do you think I'm messing around here?
12:09Let's just get this gun.
12:11Oh, come on!
12:12Where's my bat?
12:13Like I'm going to give you a bat.
12:15What?
12:16You don't think I could hit a bloke?
12:17You can hit water if you fell out of a boat.
12:19Oi.
12:20Sorry.
12:22Well, Gavin knows I'm with you.
12:23I wouldn't bank on that.
12:24Muppet coming to save you.
12:27You know what I can't figure out
12:28is how you ever thought you'd get away with this.
12:31Prison or no prison,
12:33even you're not dumb enough
12:34to think I'd let this slide.
12:35What did you do in my shoes?
12:37Well, I wouldn't send a moron
12:38to do my dirty work, for starters.
12:40Oh, really?
12:41You turned Kylie into a junkie?
12:43You completely destroyed my family
12:44and now you're coming after my lad?
12:48He's my lad.
12:52Say it.
12:54Say the words, David.
12:56It's my son.
12:58You've got minerals.
13:00I'll give you that.
13:02Doesn't mean I can give you a free pass, though.
13:04I'll do it again.
13:06Is that right?
13:07And you've got nothing to lose.
13:09You've got plenty to lose.
13:11You just need reminding.
13:15I think this is the bit
13:17where you start begging.
13:23We're out of here.
13:25Come again.
13:25You heard.
13:26But what about him?
13:28What about him?
13:31Ah.
13:32I get you.
13:34I hope you're partial to rats.
13:38Oh, what?
13:39You can't just leave me here.
13:40Watch me.
13:42I'll tell Max you weren't looking for his mum.
13:45Make you sound dead heroic.
13:47Well, that don't sound like you.
13:51Fatherhood changes the man.
13:52No, it's like you said yourself.
13:55You come after me,
13:56you come after my family.
13:59Callum.
13:59Callum.
14:07Come on.
14:09Come on.
14:20Hello?
14:22I'm back here.
14:23I'm tied up.
14:26Look, if this is private property or something,
14:28or if I'm trespassing,
14:29I'm sorry.
14:32Well, say something then.
14:36Oh, you surprised to see me?
14:38Just a bit.
14:39How's the old ropes?
14:41Not pinching, I hope.
14:44Oh, you'd be amazed at how many misclaws
14:46you've had in the last hour.
14:47Your mum and bro really do worry about you.
14:49Well, you came back just to tell me that.
14:52Not exactly.
14:54Leaving your head to rot isn't an option.
14:56It's too much aggro.
14:58I sense a butt coming.
14:59But we have a problem.
15:05I still have a reputation to maintain.
15:09Just get it over with.
15:11You know you brought it on yourself.
15:13I did what I had to do.
15:15Well, you understand what's coming next.
15:18My mum gets married tomorrow.
15:21Well, I'll bear that in mind.
15:25Out!
15:27You've got to be easy!
15:29Come going for me again,
15:30Max or no Max,
15:32you're dead.
15:34You're dead.
