Andy is plagued by nightmares about Phelan. Steph worries about him. Gary returns from visiting Eddie in Germany and is gutted to find out from Dev that the gym has gone bust. Steph begs Andy to see a doctor but he refuses. Having flashed her underwear at Luke in the garage body shop, Tracy heads off grinning. Phelan hangs around the garage and tries to destroy the laptop but an angry Kevin sends him on his way. Phelan lets himself into Andy's flat and orders him to burn down Kevin's garage. Phelan makes it clear that it'll be worse for Steph if he fails to do so. At the bistro, Phelan laces Kevin's drinks with vodka. Kevin is drunk but insists on more beer. Phelan guides a drunken Kevin to the main garage and, having stolen his keys to the body shop from his pocket, leaves him on the back seat of a customer's car in a drunken stupor. Phelan hands the keys to Andy who lets himself into the premises but he's interrupted by the arrival of Luke and Tracy. He hides as they set to work on the laptop. Seizing the moment, Andy sets fire to the body shop and grabs Kevin's laptop as he does a runner. He leaves the keys behind. Brian spots the garage fire and alerts the bistro to evacuate. He rings the fire brigade. As the fire rages, Phelan allows himself a satisfied smile while Freddie, Tyrone, Luke and Kevin watch in anguish. Having returned home, a shaken Andy shoves Kevin's laptop in a cupboard and his fire-damaged clothes in the washing machine. The washing machine breaks down and Andy can't clean his clothes. Steph arrives home and discovers them. Andy's forced to confess everything about Phelan's blackmail. Steph is stunned by Andy's revelations. He tells her that Phelan has been threatening her as well. She runs from the flat in utter confusion. The Metcalfes take Steve in at No.4. Steph bumps into Phelan. Smiling, he tells her that he's going to be keeping a close eye on her and Andy from now on and she realises the truth of Andy's statements about his real nature. Steph returns to the flat and tells Andy they have to flee, suggesting they go to Portugal to work for Katy Armstrong's boyfriend, as it's their only way out.
