00:00Has Los Angeles actually made any progress on homelessness?
00:03We hit the streets to ask Angelenos,
00:06have city officials fixed the crisis or are they failing us completely?
00:10No, no, no, zero progress.
00:14And I am really sort of in tune with it because my kids go to school in Hollywood
00:19where there is a shelter, homeless shelter.
00:22My kids have to witness deeply disturbing homeless behavior.
00:27It's not just people who are unhoused.
00:29It's really disturbing behavior that the unhoused population has in Los Angeles.
00:35I own the restaurant over here, the pizza restaurant,
00:38and I've had homeless people come and throw things at my customers, harass my customers, break dishes.
00:45And yeah, this is a nice area.
00:47It's a pretty complex situation. It has to be nuanced.
00:50There's some people who are homeless because of circumstances financially.
00:53There are people who are homeless because of mental health issues.
00:55So you want someone to be able to address the issue honestly,
00:59but also to understand and be able to articulate to the people the nuances,
01:04what comes with the homelessness when we're here in Los Angeles.
01:07And that's what I learned because of me as a legislature potentially moving from people to people.
01:07And whether I'm here in Los Angeles or TP.
01:08I'm not one of the Halls
