00:00I voted for Bess because I think she has the experience and she's been the mayor before.
00:08How about you?
00:09I voted for Nithya Raman because I kind of just like what she kind of stood for.
00:15I did a little research and I thought, you know, why not?
00:20That would be Nithya Raman, supported by our union.
00:24So I think the big thing in L.A. is probably housing.
00:27It's difficult to find housing. And when you do, it's difficult to afford.
00:32I voted for not Karen Bass.
00:36So you pretty much just wanted anyone but Karen Bass.
00:39Yes, I voted for Nithya. Hopefully she'll be better.
00:42I think she can appeal to like younger audiences.
00:45So I think that's really important, especially because the younger generation has so much potential and so much promise.
00:52What do you think are the most important issues in Los Angeles that you would like her to address?
00:58Definitely homelessness and immigration. That's a big one.
01:02I voted for Nithya for mayor.
01:04I think we need to be doing more about our homeless population.
01:09I think we need to be funding our firefighters more and doing more to protect against natural disasters.
01:14I'm an immigrant. I came to this country with my mother from Thailand.
01:18I think I might have to like leave California with my UCLA degree to go to someplace more affordable.
01:25So one day I can buy a house and have the American dream.
