00:01A personal driver pleaded not guilty at the magistrate's court in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday
00:06to abducting an 11-year-old girl last week.
00:10Muhammad Rafiq Zamhafeq Muhammad Rosli, 23, was accused of abducting the girl from her father,
00:16Rosli Abgani, 49, near a college in the Jalan Ilmu area,
00:21before allegedly taking her to a petrol station in Bukit Damansara between 2.30pm and 4.49pm on May 19.
00:30He was charged under Section 363 of the Penal Code for Kidnapping,
00:35which carries a maximum jail term of seven years and a fine upon conviction.
00:41Magistrate Atika Muhammad alias Muhammad Saim granted the accused bail of 5,000 ringgit with one surety.
00:49The court also ordered him to report to the nearest police station once a month
00:54and prohibited him from disturbing or approaching the victim and her family
00:58until the case is concluded.
