00:18I hear a cry from Valley Forge, from an American patriot standing with a blood-soaked bandage
00:24on his head. He stands without shoes in the snow. He stands holding a musket with a message
00:31to America in the 21st century. Listen up, America. Your rights come from God Almighty,
00:39not from a king or congress, not from a president or a political party. The patriot soldier looks
00:48directly into our eyes and continues, I stood in the snow of Valley Forge without shoes.
00:54To ensure your God-given right to vote. And you stay home on election day because the weather
01:02is bad. I left my family destitute so that you could have freedom of speech and you remain
01:10silent because that speech might be considered politically incorrect. I orphaned my children
01:17to give you a government to serve you. And through neglect and the desire to be taken care
01:24of, you have permitted it to become the master of your children and grandchildren. The cry
01:31from Valley Forge comes, stand up, America. Speak up, America. Take America back to God
01:39and the Constitution. We are still one nation under God, endowed by our Creator with certain
01:47unalienable rights and unalienable rights. That among these are life, liberty and the pursuit
01:51of happiness. Let us remember, it is the soldier from Valley Forge to Afghanistan who fights to preserve
02:00our God-given rights. It is the soldier, not the minister, who has given us freedom of religion. It is
02:08the soldier,
02:09not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who
02:16has given us
02:17freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to protest. It is
02:26the soldier,
02:27not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. It is the soldier, not the politician,
02:34politician who has given us the right to vote. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves
02:41beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag that makes freedom possible for those
02:48who live beneath that flag.
02:51Thy country, tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing.
03:04Land where thy father's thy land, above his whose stripes, from every mountainside,
03:17that freedom came.
03:23God bless the American soldier.
