00:15In a statement issued by Istana Abdul Aziz, Tengku Hassanal raised concerns over a planned
00:21military training activity in Pahang's islands, which he said could affect the environmental
00:26ecosystem, flora and fauna.
00:29He said he does not object to military training to improve soldiers' skills, but stressed
00:34that it must be done in a controlled and responsible manner and in harmony with the environment
00:39and all parties.
00:41The statement said the armed forces and all parties must comply with and uphold this royal
00:46advice.
00:47Tengku Hassanal also warned that he will not hesitate to request the state government to
00:51take appropriate action should any breach of procedure occur.
00:55The statement did not name the islands or exercises involved, but Pahang's islands include
01:00Tioman Island and others near Rompin and Pekan.
