00:00PAS will hold a meeting within the next one or two days to decide on its relationship with Bersatu
00:06after recent remarks by party president Abdul Hadi Awang questioning their alliance.
00:11PAS Secretary-General Takiyudin Hassan said the party leadership would first make an internal
00:16decision in one or two days before referring it to Perikata Nacional.
00:22Hadi had said PAS was reviewing its relationship with Bersatu, including the possibility of
00:27contesting the next general election without the Muhyiddin Yassin-led party.
00:32The Marang MP cited issues in Perlis, alleged interference in appointments involving Kedah
00:38and Kelantan, and Bersatu's opposition to admitting new Malay Muslim parties in Tupi Ed.
00:44He also claimed Bersatu had weak grassroots machinery in previous elections but still demanded many
00:49seats, even though PAS workers carried much of the ground effort.
00:54Takiyudin also defended PAS's gag order, stopping leaders and members from publicly commenting
00:58on other parties without leadership approval, saying freedom must be exercised in the proper
01:03way.
