00:14Welcome to Tactical of Keto Now. Today we are going to talk about soft pairing or soft blocking in Chong
00:21Tzu Kwan Tactical of Keto System.
00:24Why we don't do what we consider hard blocking because the average punch goes 50 to 60 miles an hour.
00:33From here to here, it's that fast. It's mathematically impossible to block using what we consider hard blocking to a
00:42straight punch going 50 to 60 miles an hour.
00:44That's the first point.
00:46And second point, if you're attacked by somebody bigger, they're going to have a bigger bone mass and bigger bone
00:54density.
00:55So if Bob was to punch and I was to manage to get the block off bone to bone, he's
01:02going to win every time because he has the bigger bone density.
01:06Everything we teach in Chong Tzu Kwan of Keto is based off of biomechanics and physics.
01:12So we use soft power.
01:14And we teach what we call our trapping drills using a soft parry and you go back and forth until
01:20the brain speeds up.
01:23We want to use soft circular motion. So when Bob throws the punch, I just brush it out of the
01:27way here as I enter to come in with a strike or a joint lock.
01:32It's going to take your brain a half a second to realize the attack's coming.
01:36No one's going to come up and say, hey, I'm going to throw a haymaker or a straight punch when
01:41you walk out of Walmart over here.
01:43It's going to come unexpected.
01:45So we need to practice these trapping drills that we teach in Chong Tzu Kwan so they happen naturally without
01:54thinking.
01:54The punch comes in, I just brush it out of the way, okay, and then I can do a strike
02:00anywhere, anywhere, and the joint lock becomes easy.
02:07Soft blocking, if you want to call it that, or parrying.
