04:08and then i looked at the the highlights of this guy and the way he wiggles the way he gets

04:12of scrimmage coach i cannot wait to see him in a skins slash commander's uniform yeah how did he
04:19look in in rookie camp you know i think one thing that you think like right off the bat like

04:24guy has feel he knows when to stop he knows you know how to adjust he just has like awareness

04:30as like a big time receiver uh he's got great hands great movements to go so yeah he's off to

04:36hell of a start we've got uh 15 um rookies here um that are kind of into the space and
04:41he is
04:42definitely been one that has absolutely jumped out um he's got real skill about him so we're
04:47really pumped about antonio what is it what is it that jumped out at you guys when you were scouting
04:51him is there one particular trait i think when you see him and when everybody sees him as a route
04:57runner
04:58you're going to see him absolutely be able to break people off it's option routes in breaking
05:01routes out breaking routes all the different elements that go along with that as a route runner
05:06he can stop he can change directions explosive those are a few of the things that jumps out
05:11uh to us um but it's just the feel like it's not just a height weight speed thing like this
05:17guy's
05:17got real natural feel as a receiver and i think like that can be a hard thing to measure but
05:23when
05:23you see it you know exactly what it looks like and antonio has it man in the biggest way we're
05:28joined by washington commanders head coach dan quinn he's our mystery guest as we're here at the
05:32starboard in dewey beach coach i have an unabashed man crush on sunny styles i love that so do i

05:39the way at seven like tell me how surprised you and adam were that he was actually available at
05:43seven what is he showing you guys so far i know you guys have big plans for him on the
05:47defense
05:48we do and um the more time that you spent with him during the process going up you just thought
05:54man
05:55this is uh like what an ideal fit for how we want to play you know the style we want
06:00to be about
06:01like what he stands for as a ball player and as a dude and so he came in on our
06:07visit here adam and i had
06:08gone up to ohio state he also came to a visit here um and while he was here man we
06:13just kind
06:13of tried to put it put in the atmosphere right you're gonna be back here and uh we were uh
06:18thrilled
06:19man when he was there at that spot and uh you know it was super easy uh decision for adam
06:25in that one
06:25like once that person was there when there was a trade just before us those are the moments that
06:30you hold your breath and uh a little bit like you know rules of fight club don't talk about fight
06:34club you know right right right and so when we had a chance to select him man we were pumped
06:39and uh probably just seeing him being around him you know over the last couple weeks has only
06:46reinforced um you know what he can bring to our club which is really cool another guy i'm super
06:51excited about coach is leo chanel when you signed him and uh and learned more about him and all of
06:56his
06:56attributes and the things he could potentially bring how does you know draft and styles affect the plan
07:02to use him and both those guys together yeah we want to use them all and uh that's frankie as
07:08well
07:08um you'll see three backer packages you know a good bit of the time all three of them have the
07:14length
07:14and speed and demeanor to blitz which is a big advantage um when you can bring different people
07:20from multiple spots um one of the things about leo although he's got good size to a man like the
07:24guy
07:25can absolutely fly um he's a secure tackler and square so adding different versatility at different
07:31spots um that helps us a lot you know you're going to see that on the edges you know from
07:37odafe and casey and uh da you'll see it at backer with the three of the guys we just mentioned
07:42and
07:43jordan mcgee so in the front seven uh we've got real versatility uh to move guys into different
07:48locations different spots and uh leo is very much in the forefront of our thinking regarding that as
07:53well dq um a lot of we've been talking about the schedule the last few weeks because you know
07:59that's what we do in in may because the nfl does a great job of kind of hyping it up
08:04how did you feel
08:06about let's just talk about the opening month at philly at dallas super bowl champs at home and then
08:13the colts in london how did you feel about that yeah i actually love um when we get to start
08:19the season
08:19against um a division opponent um it just kind of sets the you know the tone and the mindset you
08:26know
08:26right from jump street so i like those spaces to go and then after that it seems like this year
08:31there's more division games earlier in the season than it was last year last year more than towards
08:36the end so it's exciting you know who we're playing all along but just to see it all flow out
08:41and where
08:41it is um you talked about us going um over to london in game four um so kind of just
08:47putting the whole
08:48plan together now you know where you travel and what to do all those things but uh as far as
08:53it goes i
08:53kind of love where the opener sits in terms of having a division game that's usually one of my
08:57favorite things to to see when uh when the schedule comes out when you get a division game right from
09:02jump street whether it's home or away yeah so coach we're here in dewey celebrating 30 years of doing
09:07our show but you started as a coach in 1994 at william and mary right could you have thought that
09:14you'd be
09:14where you are right now when you started it you graduate from salisbury and you get into coaching back
09:19then no man i was uh went there to you know go to college go teach and then coach at
09:25high school
09:25and then when i was there i said man it's around some of the college coaches i said this would
09:29be
09:29a good gig if i could do that and so um the cool part about the profession like you're always
09:34growing
09:34and it's always changing but man no i would never have uh thought that far like that was beyond even
09:40uh
09:40my wildest dreams of it of uh you know seeing the nfl teams play and then as you you moved
09:45up and
09:46different spaces came along and different experiences like the whole journey's been awesome
09:49man but no back in the 1994 uh that was not on the radar bro yeah well and i've talked
09:56about this
09:57a lot but i did a show on wsur at salisbury right it was salisbury state at the time right
10:04but we
10:04would have dan come in studio to kind of preview the big games and he doesn't remember me yeah yeah
10:10but
10:11dan was awesome back then and he's still awesome now we have a great relationship it's such a small
10:15world uh hey man congratulations and um hopefully we'll see you soon and we're all expecting big
10:23things this year you guys added a bunch of pieces especially on the defensive side jayden stays
