There are several terrible takeaways from Washington’s embarrassing loss to the Cowboys yesterday. In this segment, The Sports Junkies debate if Dan Quinn deserves to be fired as the Commanders HC. Do you think the Washington Commanders should fire Dan Quinn?

00:29But some people thought he should be in the shotgun.
00:33But where do you think it falls on Dan Quinn?
00:36There is one noted analyst who was a great player at Alabama in college football,
00:42played in the NFL for a bit, Damian Harris from CBS.
00:47Here's what he says about Dan Quinn and his job.

00:53And why?

00:55Because we can look at what he did in his first season in Washington and say,
00:59okay, they made it to the conference championship.

01:03He left Jayden Daniels in a game that he definitely should not have been in.

01:07We saw the first gruesome elbow injury.
01:09And what happened?
01:10It tanked the rest of their season.
01:12Now you fast forward to this year.

01:14The same exact thing.
01:15Now, granted, the game wasn't out of hand.
01:16It's not like he shouldn't have been in the game.
01:18But this is an opportunity where you need to just take the points and go into halftime.

01:24Get your quarterback.
01:25Get your team.
01:25Get your offense off the field.
01:27Take the points like a smart man and just put your team in a better chance.

01:36But you need to have more football IQ.

01:48He's probably going to miss some time.
01:50And your season is going to go just like this again.
01:52Because we already saw last year the Commanders cannot win with Marcus Mariota.

01:57He's done a lot of great things.
01:58But he is not the face of this franchise.

02:01Now, not to say Jaden Daniels was torching and lighting it up.
02:04But he's still your best chance to win.
02:07You make a bad decision two years in a row.
02:09The result in your quarterback getting hurt.
02:10And now he's going to miss some significant time.
02:12And your season is just hanging in the balance now because of those decisions.

04:26He has no faith in his defense to get a stop.
04:29He's a defensive guy who's fired or moved on from his first choice as defensive coordinator,
04:36Joe Witt, brought in another defensive coordinator.
04:40They spent a massive amount of money on all of these guys in free agency on the defensive end
04:47and drafted somebody with their first-round pick on the defensive end.
04:52And you have such little faith in them that instead of taking the points, you go for it
04:57because you feel like you absolutely need to have it.
