00:00All right, so back in April, we were asking the question that we've asked the last several years
00:05about the National League Central was, is this finally the season with Yelich being heard and
00:10no pitching and Chorio on the IL? This is it. This is the season that the Brewers just simply may
00:16not
00:16have it. Oh, I guess we're all wrong on that one because here they are again in first place, 29
00:23and
00:2318. Pat Murphy, I mean, every year this guy is a candidate to win manager of the year, just
00:29simply because it happens. And let's just call it what it is. The Brewers are as well run an
00:33organization as any team in baseball. They've beaten up on the Cubs. It looks like they're in
00:38it from beginning to end. But again, the same concern that you would have with the Brewers is
00:42probably the one that you would have with Tampa Bay is, you know, like, what will they do with
00:45the deadline? Will they add some pieces? Can they hang on to some of this pitching, which is all very
00:50young, including the Miz at this point, but very impressive. Once again, I think we got another big
00:55regular season coming from Milwaukee. And to your point about Pat Murphy, it does feel like the
01:00National League MVP is the Shohei Ohtani invitational at this point. And it's Ohtani until proven
01:05otherwise. I think you could make that argument about the National League manager of the year.
01:09I think the AO manager of the year is a little bit more open. It has been Steven Vogt over
01:13the last
01:14couple, but Pat Murphy with the way that they rinse and repeat with a different looking roster,
01:18seemingly every year. I think Pat Murphy should always be the front runner for National League
01:23Manager of the Year. And yeah, they don't have Freddie Peralta anymore. They don't have Devin
01:27Williams or Hayter or Corbin Burns, but they have Kyle Harrison. They have Mizorowski. To your point,
01:33it's rinse and repeat. Priester was their breakout last year. He's been on the IL. They grabbed Sprott
01:38and the Peralta deal. Sprott's going to be good for them over the course of the next half decade or
01:42so.
01:42So they are, it seems like, to your point, Craig, the class of prospect identification,
01:49player development, and cashing in when the assets are at peak value. They are a model organization
01:55of Major League Baseball right now. And they got to deal with the big bad Cubs over 162, surely. But
01:59with all the pitching injuries, and I saw Cabrera left his start last night with the blister issue
02:03again. With the injury issues on the pitching front for Chicago, why can't Milwaukee win this
02:09division yet again? Yeah, they probably could. All right, real quick, let's look at the Cy Young.
02:14This is as bunched up odds as anything right now in baseball, just because
02:18Christopher Sanchez pitching out of his mind, and Skeens is always going to be among the favorites.
02:22But Mizorowski, we know Ohtani wants a Cy Young. I mean, that's why all this stuff,
02:27I think, is going on this season with him not batting. And I mean, he probably told them at the
02:31beginning of the year, I want to win the Cy Young, figure it out. And that's what the Dodgers are
02:35doing. And Chris Sale was just so boring last night, right? Like, it was like, strikeout,
02:40strikeout, pop up, pop up. I mean, gosh, the guy is just so good. So I think those are the
02:43guys maybe with Burns on the outside. Yeah, it seems like it. I love watching Christopher Sanchez.
02:49He is beautifully boring, just like Sale. You know, you're going to get six or seven innings,
02:53one run or two run baseball. And Ohtani, it's been amazing. I just don't know if he's going to
02:58throw enough innings, to be totally honest with you. But you know what? If he sets his mind to it,
03:01by all means.
