00:00Cubs are going to have to make up some ground.
00:01Of course, the Reds are still in this thing, and we anticipate the Cardinals probably going
00:05the other way at some point.
00:06Credit to them for staying in it and the Pirates, you know, waiting for next season.
00:10So let's get into really some of the big success stories for the Brewers this season.
00:15It has to start, of course, as always, with the pitching.
00:16And everybody knows all about Jacob Mizorowski, who's currently on the IEL.
00:20So before I turn it over to you, I do want an update on him.
00:23But Freddy Peralta has been fantastic.
00:25Quinn Priester, since being acquired, has also been great.
00:28Chad Patrick a surprise, and Jose Quintana just being generally who he has been over
00:33the courts of several years.
00:34So let's start off with the update on Mizorowski, if you don't mind, and then take it from there
00:38on the pitch.
00:39Yeah, the Miz is going to be fine.
00:41He took a comebacker in his last appearance against the Cubs and has a bruise on his shin,
00:46but just wasn't recovering the way that he wanted to recover.
00:49So the Brewers were in an innings crunch to begin with, with him, because he's already
00:54at a career high in terms of innings.
00:56So they want to make sure he's back down just a bit.
00:58But he'll be fine.
00:59He'll take the minimum stay on the injured list and be back for a stretch where the Brewers
01:03are going to play 19 games in 18 days, starting the midpoint of August.
01:08But one guy who's not even on that list for you is Brandon Woodruff.
01:11And this great stretch for the Brewers really started when he came back.
01:15The Brewers have only lost four games total since Brandon Woodruff returned to the roster.
01:20I think it's like an 18-4 record in their last 22 since Brandon Woodruff came back.
01:25The starting pitching has been excellent.
01:27Remember, in the beginning of the season, they had to go out and get a guy like Quinn Priester.
01:31They had to go get Jose Quintana in the middle of spring training because their starters were
01:36going down left and right.
01:38Now they've built the stockpile of arms, and they're going to end up being just fine in
01:42terms of that Chad Patrick's in the minor leagues.
01:44You bring a guy like Logan Henderson back up, and he's doing great.
01:48He pitched a couple days ago in Washington.
01:50There is a surplus of arms in the Brewers organization.
01:53And for the last seven weeks of this season, going into the playoffs, they're going to be
01:57just fine with their innings.
