India-Africa Summit postponed amid Ebola virus outbreak

00:37this was previously few years ago also Ebola issue had come up right now are we saying it's constrained

00:42to Africa absolutely it is constrained to Africa but since many head of space states were expected

00:47almost 54 head of state and head of government were expected for this India Africa forum summit

00:52and since India was hosting this you know India was scheduled to host this India Africa forum summit

00:57at the end of this month from 28 to 20 to 31st of May and for that many international organization

01:05African country leaders were expected and since as you mentioned that Ebola is currently restricted

01:10to DRC Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda but hundreds are infected dozens have died and World

01:18health organization has termed it as a public health emergency of international concern and

01:24that's why government of India in concentration with the African Union and African kind of leadership

01:28has decided to postpone it we remain committed for our engagement with the African Union and with

01:34the African countries but due to prevailing health situation we do not want to risk you know of the

01:39public health and since the international organization like WHO has termed it a public health emergency of

01:44international concern so and have the new dates been announced here no not yet okay this will be

01:49decided with the mutual convenience and consultation but was to happen just end of this yes end of this
