00:00A lot of people have been wondering, like, where has Project Youngin been, and why has he not been dropping
00:05any new music?
00:07I really, I've been focused on, like, life, like, you know, new project dropping soon.
00:14I recently got out of this distribution deal, and I had litigation obligations to where I couldn't drop music and
00:22going back and forth to the court with that.
00:24So now that we finally got that over, new project on the way, May 8th, you know, built from sacrifices,
00:30dropping on all platforms, and we're back fully independent.
00:34Period.
00:34So, okay, let me ask you something.
00:36Is it better to be independent or signed as an artist?
00:39Because you've been both.
00:40Yeah, to each his own.
00:42Like, you know, with music, there is no, like, the blueprint.
00:47There's no direct blueprint to success.
00:50Everybody's route is a little different.
00:51Some people might need that, like, they don't have the money up front, so they might need that label backing
00:57to get them where they need to go.
00:59And other people, you know, being independent is, like, they don't need a million up front.
01:05They could go drop a tape, go do a bunch of shows.
01:07They might be already hot in their area getting 10,000 a show.
01:11And, you know, 10 shows there, that's 100,000.
01:13So, you know, you do that and repeat it.
01:15They might not need the big budget, the big label budget.
01:17So it's, like, everybody's route a little different.
01:19So I feel like independence is important, like, to own your stuff, but it's, like, everybody's route a little different.
