00:00The Petaling Jaya Division of Partibangsa Malaysia resigned en masse today to do more, serve more effectively and be part
00:08of a political platform that better reflects the aspirations of the people.
00:13In a statement, Danish Firas, who was the Petaling Jaya PBM chairman prior to quitting the party, said the division
00:20had 200 members.
00:23He said the division's decision to resign had nothing to do with its president, Larry Seung.
00:30He said this move should not be viewed as an act of hostility and that the departure is based on
00:35political direction, future alignment and the division's desire to continue serving the public more effectively.
00:42He added that the division believed politics should be rooted in action, service and meaningful reform.
00:52Today's resignations followed the departure of several leaders at the state and division level.
