00:00A former Parti Bangsa Malaysia leader has rebuffed claims by President Larry Seng
00:05that some members in Selangor quit the party after failing to secure promised positions
00:11in local councils and government-linked companies.
00:14Krishna Govind claimed that it was Seng who, of his own accord,
00:18negotiated with Menteri Besar Amiruddin Shahri for certain roles prior to the state polls in 2023.
00:25However, after the state election, he said Selangor PBM was informed
00:30that these merit-based opportunities would not materialise.
00:34In a Facebook post, the former Selangor PBM secretary said
00:38that if their loyalty truly hinged on these positions, they would have walked away in 2023.
00:45Krishna, who resigned from the party on Monday, said
00:48a profound and prolonged lack of party direction had led to his departure
00:53and that of many others from PBM.
00:56He added that if the goal of members who quit the party
00:59was merely to secure power or financial gain, as alleged,
01:03they would never have applied to join Parti Besama Malaysia,
01:07which he said offered absolutely zero material incentives.
