00:00And you alluded to their minor league system, Molly.
00:02They have a guy down there, Jesus Madej, who was just boosted up,
00:07promoted up to the number one prospect in baseball.
00:10And he's one of three or four guys that they have at the middle infield
00:15positions that are highly rated prospects.
00:19And the one thing they are very hesitant to do,
00:21and it's something we talked about on our show,
00:24that maybe this is the year to do it, to strike while the iron is hot,
00:28is to mortgage a little bit of that farm system
00:32and take a big swing at somebody between now and the trade deadline
00:36to sort of put things over the top.
00:38But that's something that they're always very reluctant to do.
00:41And so that farm system is always well-stocked with highly rated prospects
00:48because they're bringing those guys up through their system
00:51kind of in an old-school sort of way, guys,
00:54that they don't rush them up through.
00:56They make sure that they're getting all the tools and all the tutelage
01:01and knowing all the things that they need to know down there
01:04before they bring them up to the majors.
01:07And you've got guys on this roster right now, Jackson Churio,
01:10who's a product of that,
01:12and a guy who's, I think, an MVP candidate at some point in his career.
01:18Yeah, they have sort of a revolving door of talent
01:21because of how they treat that farm system
01:24and the fact that they procure it and rarely, if ever,
01:29will sort of purge it for big league talent to put them over the top.
01:33You do got to wonder, though, when is the time that they want to do that.
01:37And if they do do that, guys, that could be a dangerous team if they go out.
01:42And because the one thing that this team lacks is some power hitting,
01:45is some slug in that lineup.
01:47If they go out and get a big-hitting third baseman
01:50between now and the trade deadline
01:52and purge some of that farm system,
01:54that's a very dangerous team in the National League and the Brewers.
