00:01We're all powerhouses in our own right.
00:03I'm really proud to work with such a great group of women.
00:06I'm just starting to ramp things up.
00:08We have created literally the best self-setting concealer.
00:12I was this crazy athlete, but I have this new beauty brand.
00:16When Beauty being a founder is a lot, I just feel so much pressure.
00:19You were there for me at the times when Jara first passed away.
00:22You are running this massive company.
00:25Next week, I go to a convention in North Carolina.
00:28My husband Jara passed away just two years ago.
00:31All of it's so much harder than people understand,
00:34and I don't talk about it.
00:35I can hear Jara in my head saying, you can do this.
00:38And I don't know if I can.
01:08I'm so hungry.
01:09I'm so hungry.
01:10You're here.
01:10I was so hungry.
01:13I was getting ready for the VMAs.
01:15I'm getting ready.
01:16I'm so excited.
01:17I'm so nervous.
01:18Why?
01:19This is what you do.
01:21I'm hosting a segment.
01:22How many times are you changing?
01:24Okay.
01:25Red carpet and the section.
01:27Oh, wow.
01:28Maybe coming out.
01:29Why not?
01:31So that's three.
01:32Three.
01:32You know like glitter, more is more.
01:34You know me.
01:35I know more is more.
01:36More is more.
01:37More is more.
01:38I'm not like...
01:38I love when you say, not less is more.
01:41More is more.
01:42Taliyah I've known for many years.
01:44We became friends on Instagram, believe it or not,
01:47through mutual friends.
01:51She's an incredible human being,
01:53and been through so much in her life,
01:56but yet it's been a star forever.
01:59But yet she continues to grow and thrive and pivot
02:02in a world where you need to learn how to pivot.
02:05She never quit.
02:06She's always tenacious and driven,
02:08and she's always on to the next things.
02:10You know, she constantly wants to show up for her friends,
02:12and I love that.
02:14Now, okay, tell me about you,
02:15because I see that you're working.
02:17No way.
02:19I know, I just think this is in North Carolina.
02:21North Carolina.
02:22And it's like a big one since JR's been gone,
02:25so this is a really important one.
02:28And the first year that JR passed away,
02:30my heart wasn't in it like it is now.
02:32No.
02:33You know, JR was such an amazing leader.
02:35He was my leader.
02:36There's a different Lauren,
02:38and I'm just discovering her.
02:40And I miss the old Lauren.
02:42You can see the transition.
02:44Interesting.
02:46Wow, no.
02:47That's my question.
02:49This is different.
02:49Why is what you must miss in my life?
02:53Not the things, but JR.
02:56The person who gives you your confidence,
02:58who makes you feel like you're the greatest thing ever.
03:00He was the best at that.
03:02I understand, because my mother was that for me.
03:04It was passion.
03:05It was like my cheerleader.
03:07My cheerleader.
03:07Same thing.
03:08It was your cheerleader.
03:09But guess what?
03:11I learned to be my own cheerleader.
03:13Yeah, that's what I'm having to do.
03:15You have to.
03:16It's hard.
03:16It's challenging, though.
03:17That's strength in you, and it takes ovaries.
03:20That's a lot.
03:21It takes ovaries every day.
03:24Every day.
03:25It does.
03:26Market America started with nothing.
03:28Literally nothing.
03:29I remember that when we would go to the office,
03:31we bought a playpen.
03:32Everybody would take turns watching my daughter, Amber,
03:35because we couldn't afford for anybody to take care of her.
03:37But we did it.
03:39And Taliyah was right.
03:40You have to have I'm not going to stop attitude,
03:43and you've got to believe in yourself.
03:45Let's plan a new cheerleader team.
03:48Give me a team!
03:50Team, give me an M!
03:52M!
03:53Come on.
03:53Okay.
03:54That's actually a really good idea.
03:57Let's do it.
03:57Yeah.
04:13Just broccoli, you said, or do you want green beans?
04:16I want green beans, too, please.
04:18Okay.
04:19Oh, there you are.
04:20Yeah.
04:21Good morning.
04:21Hi.
04:22Hey.
04:23Uh-huh.
04:24It's going to be fun.
04:26It's going to be a first day.
04:27Yeah, first day back.
04:28It's great.
04:29Mm-hmm.
04:30You excited?
04:31I can't believe it.
04:32He's got cross-country after school.
04:34Oh, so you have an after-school activity?
04:37I have cross-country after school.
04:39Okay.
04:40And an athletic meeting.
04:41Seb, is your backpack all ready with, like, all your books and computer and everything?
04:45Yeah, it's ready.
04:46Tommy.
04:46Tommy and I have been married for 15 years.
04:50I'm blessed to have an incredible relationship with a man that I adore and that I love and respect.
04:58We have Sebastian.
04:59He is on the spectrum.
05:01I also have two kids from my first marriage.
05:04My first two kids, when I raised them, I was a stay-at-home mom.
05:07So I've really only started my career when I was 50-something.
05:12I want to hear all about it.
05:13Okay?
05:14Yes.
05:15After school?
05:16Yep.
05:17It was pretty scary to make that move because the business is just brutal to break in, especially
05:23when you're a new brand.
05:24But I'm lucky enough to have that support system where I can have this fantastic career and this exciting life.
05:33It's never too late.
05:34I think I'm gonna figure out what I'm taking to New York.
05:37So I've got mostly my stuff in hanging bags.
05:42This is what I was gonna show you.
05:44So this is what I'm wearing for the show.
05:47Well, it's classic.
05:49It's not like from the recent lot that she sent me.
05:52And it matches you.
05:54Yeah.
05:56Next week, we're headed to New York for Fashion Week.
06:00I'm doing an event with the tier.
06:03I have a brand called Yo Clepo, which is shoes.
06:07And I'm also part owner and creative director of Judith Lieber, one of the few American heritage luxury brands.
06:15What I'm trying to achieve with my brands, it's establishing recognition with everybody from, you know, young, old.
06:24These are all my Dio Clepo shoes.
06:26This is all the fall collection.
06:28But I haven't shot these.
06:30I like those loafers.
06:31These boots are nice.
06:32Yeah, those come in three colors.
06:35You know, people buy into this narrative that at a certain age, you can't break through.
06:40I'm gonna be 59 this year.
06:42I don't have time to live in the what ifs.
06:44Let's go out and get it.
06:46This is like the calm before the storm.
06:49It's gonna be a busy week.
07:03All right.
07:08Let's get started.
07:14So what do we have here?
07:16This is exciting.
07:17Do you want to talk through a little bit of shade selection?
07:21So today we're going to go over our spring summer 2025 launch, which is our victory blush.
07:27And so what we've noticed is an uptick in trend in the market.
07:31Consumers are really leaning towards those delivery systems that are easy on the go.
07:35Can I try this?
07:36Yes, of course.
07:37Just to see how it would look on me.
07:38Yeah, of course.
07:40So do you think this is going to cover enough skin tones?
07:43Absolutely, yeah.
07:44These are really buildable and we also developed them so they didn't have a lot of titanium dioxide.
07:50So that way you don't get that white cast.
07:52It won't come off chalky on deeper skin tones.
07:54We took some of your name suggestions into account of just having things that are super active.
07:58Our makeup is makeup made to move in, right?
08:01So I feel like that's one message that we can get across more.
08:04And because there's so many makeup brands in the market right now.
08:07So if we can think of how we differentiate ourselves, we last a long time.
08:11And then everyone can define what active looks like for them.
08:14Yeah, because active doesn't mean running on the treadmill for three hours.
08:17You know, I'm an athlete. I want to be active. I'm an active mom.
08:21I need to not have to always reapply my makeup.
08:25It's super important for us to kind of nail our marketing.
08:28And we have super clean products.
08:30We want to touch people that want to wear SPF.
08:33And they can, you know, apply our skin tint in the morning and that SPF can last them.
08:38From a partnership perspective, Meta came to us and they actually wanted to do something like a dinner.
08:42No, you know what? I think we need to do something active.
08:45Is there any way like we can do, I don't know, like a workout or something?
08:49Start talking about our healthy lifestyle.
08:51This is all things that can keep us healthy.
08:53And so I think, yeah, let's see what they say.
08:56We want to reposition Win Beauty, especially what people see on social media.
09:01And we need to figure out who is our partner as we move towards active beauty.
09:05And I'm thinking of Meta because they have a tremendous amount of reach.
09:09Because you might have the best thing in the world, but if no one knows about it, you can't sell
09:13it.
09:14Obviously.
09:15Smudge is a persistent property.
09:16Hold on, let me turn.
09:19Oh, my poor poopy.
09:21Oh, she's...
09:23Oh, I can't.
09:24See, she misses her mama.
09:26You know, now that I have children, my days now are way more hectic than what they used to be.
09:30But I think that's the beauty of being a mom.
09:33I love the chaos and I love to do what I love.
09:35And that keeps me going.
09:37Hold on, let me just call really fast and make sure.
09:41She's too smart.
09:44I think she'll call me back.
09:46Okay, she'll call me back.
09:47Okay, sorry.
09:49That's okay.
09:49We all are here with the same goal and the same mind frame as we want to win.
09:54So...
09:55Oh, no pun intended.
10:16Hello.
10:18Mama.
10:19Mama.
10:20Mama.
10:20Hi, my love.
10:22Hi.
10:23Hi.
10:23Whoa.
10:25This looks like an entire town.
10:29Baby Claude.
10:31Hi.
10:35Guys, this is crazy.
10:38This feels like so official.
10:42Hi, I'm Hannah Bronfman.
10:44I am a content creator.
10:45I've been working in social media for over a decade.
10:48And I'm also an investor.
10:49Look at this chair.
10:50Got the footy.
10:53Whoa.
10:55Whoa.
10:56Want to go back up there?
10:57Oh.
10:58I did really good piano lesson today.
11:01You did?
11:01Yeah, he did really.
11:02He did so well.
11:03Ah!
11:04Right?
11:09Shoes.
11:10Hey, put them on.
11:11Family is number one for us.
11:13When I was going through my own journey to motherhood, dealing with my own infertility issues,
11:19and decided to share all of that online, I seriously felt like I was living in the gaps
11:27and being vulnerable and talking about pregnancy loss.
11:31And it ended up opening up a world of investment opportunities within that sector.
11:37So I'm raising a $40 million venture fund to invest in wellness and women's health.
11:42I just wanted to help other women navigating this world.
11:46Can I have a kiss?
11:49You're eating my shirt?
11:51Excuse me.
11:52Okay, listen. Mama's got to go upstairs to get dressed.
11:55I'm going out.
11:56Raising this fund is really, really difficult.
11:59A lot of my time is between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m. or 5 and 10 p
12:06.m.
12:06A lot of people want to have cocktails and get deals done at the lounge or whatever.
12:12Some weeks are better than others.
12:13Like, I really try to put my kids to bed two to three times a week.
12:19Damn, it's going to take me 40 minutes to get uptown.
12:23I try not to put too much pressure on myself in a very high-pressured situation.
12:28Sometimes you just have to create the grace for yourself.
12:31Love you.
12:33Love you.
12:33Love you.
12:34See you after.
12:35Okay, love you.
12:45We're off to the races.
12:48All right, JR, let's go to Greensboro, honey.
12:55Let's do this.
12:56Christian.
12:57I'm right here.
12:58Taking longer than anybody.
13:00We going down right now?
13:01Yes, we are.
13:02Time to go.
13:03Stepping into the role of CEO has been an enormous responsibility.
13:07Hi, honey. How are you?
13:08I was the senior vice president for 30 years and worked directly with my husband building this company side by
13:16side from the ground up.
13:18And it's sad without him.
13:20But every company needs a leader.
13:22And I have to lead.
13:30Hi, puppy.
13:31I'm taking off.
13:32I hate flying.
13:34I just hate flying without your dad.
13:36Promise, promise.
13:37This week will go by quick.
13:38What are you going to do next week when you're done?
13:41I don't know.
13:43Let me just get through this week.
13:45I love you.
13:47Please, God, let us get there safely.
13:48I'm in and we will.
13:50I love you.
13:51Just text me.
13:52I will.
13:52I love you.
13:53I love you.
13:53Bye, honey.
13:55I would imagine if you asked Amber, you know, was your mom always this vulnerable or transparent?
14:01She would say my mom was always the tough one.
14:05This vulnerable, Lauren, is hard for me to get used to.
14:10Because everybody in my family has always seen me as the rock.
14:14Dara would always say, like, whatever there is that needs to be solved, call her.
14:18She'll figure it out.
14:20There's nobody to call.
14:21I'm scared.
14:23Really scared.
14:24I'm afraid that people will see all the pain and the brokenness.
14:29And I don't want them to translate that into a broken mark in America just because I have a broken
14:34heart.
14:36All of those personal feelings I have, I have to put them aside to make this work be strong.
14:44Mistakes are high.
14:46If I can't perform, we don't make it.
14:54I like the way that we've been dancing on the floor.
14:58I like the way the music keeps me wanting more.
15:01And I want it good to know you, that's for sure.
15:05That's for sure.
15:06My schedule is tight all through Fashion Week because I don't want to be away from Sebastian so much.
15:12I like a full agenda so that I can get stuff done or get shit done.
15:17But we're not allowed to say that.
15:20Okay, into the schedule.
15:22This is our face sheet for the Vitier event.
15:25I think it's strong.
15:26I think we need that one piece of glue, that one kind of cute fashion girl to come.
15:32So, I followed up with Olivia Palermo.
15:35Hopefully, she can come.
15:36She's coming in that day.
15:37We can go over the Dioclepo shoes that will already be displayed and all the Judith Lieber bags.
15:44Okay.
15:44We've got some good editors coming, right?
15:46So, we've got Women's Wear.
15:49We have Cosmo.
15:51That's a lot.
15:52But so far, we have over 120 RSVPs.
15:56Wow.
15:56Here you go, Tommy.
15:57It's pretty good.
15:58That's really good, especially for a busy fashion week.
16:02This is great.
16:03When you are known to be somebody's wife, sometimes you can feel like you're just the plus one.
16:11Maybe people don't take me that seriously.
16:15Having my own identity and my own purpose is fueling everything.
16:20I am a passionate person that likes to work hard.
16:23It's that simple.
16:25I'm starting to get tired.
16:27I'm starting to feel the wave come over me.
16:29I'm like...
16:29I know.
16:30I know.
16:48One thing I was thinking about after I was listening to one of our calls the other day.
16:53When do you have time to listen back?
16:55Like when you're brushing your teeth or getting ready.
16:57Oh, that's smart.
17:08I was just thinking about, tactically, we should talk about who else we would pitch to,
17:14because right now we're at a little over 10% of the funds.
17:17Yeah.
17:18Well, tomorrow is my free day, so I'm going to follow up with people who I emailed and
17:22reached out to last week.
17:23And then Blaise, who's coming today, he's an investor, he's an entrepreneur, he seemed
17:29to be very interested in what we were up to.
17:31Yes.
17:32My business partner, Jamie, and I are raising a $40 million venture capital fund called Contour
17:37Capital.
17:38Hello.
17:39How are you?
17:40Good, how's it going?
17:41Good, nice to see you.
17:43We've got about $2 million left that we need to get.
17:46The deadline is in a month, and if we cannot get to our deadline, I close the fund and we
17:51fail and cannot fund the deals that we have in our pipeline.
17:56Cheers, by the way.
17:57Yeah, cheers.
17:58Convincing me to have wine.
17:59Definitely.
18:00I know.
18:01I know.
18:02Raising $40 million has been really hard, because even though I'm not a first-time investor,
18:07I'm a first-time fund manager.
18:09And also, like, being a content creator, some people just have doubted my, like, abilities.
18:14So, like, we're looking at companies that are already doing between $5 million and $20 million
18:18in revenue.
18:19So, like, a Series A, what we're calling early growth.
18:22And then I love just, like, wellness and women's health more broadly.
18:26And so, that's kind of the stuff that I invest in.
18:29Also, endorse in the companies that I work with from, like, the influencer side of things.
18:34Our strategy is to invest in companies that are solving for some of these issues in women's
18:42health.
18:43Solutions for PCOS, endometriosis, like, women talking about miscarriages, fibroids.
18:50Like, all of these things were things that women were dealing with on their own in silence.
18:57And I have made such a strong reputation for myself, my presence on social media.
19:02On one hand, people think it's, like, unserious.
19:06But the fact that, like, I have a very large audience works to my advantage for my portfolio.
19:13That is the edge.
19:15Honestly, like, we just need people who truly believe in us as a team, believe in my unique
19:21position as a GP.
19:22And we've had some great early movers who want to be a part of this journey from the beginning.
19:28It's so crazy when I met her, I thought that maybe she was, like, just an influencer.
19:37But you're super impressive, so.
19:40Let me write my check now before this drop.
19:43We take Venmo.
19:43I think it's really exciting, because less than 2% of Black females get VC funding.
19:50This wealth gap is never going to change if we keep working the way it's working now.
19:55I could imagine how it is for y'all to walk into a room full of men and have to
20:00navigate
20:00through that.
20:00I could only imagine, especially being Black as well.
20:04So, definitely kudos.
20:06Thanks, Blaze.
20:07I really appreciate that.
20:09I'm with y'all.
20:19Oh, my God, D.
20:21I'm going to take a picture.
20:22Look at your stuff.
20:24Oh, so this is the influencer closet.
20:27We're trying to reach that younger generation.
20:31So, I'm doing an event with my girlfriend, Kate Davidson-Hudson.
20:37Kate!
20:38Oh, my God!
20:40Hi, beauty.
20:40Good to see you.
20:42She is an influencer and has opened up a store in Hudson Yards called Viteer.
20:49And we're collaborating on this opening, trying to create a buzz about her new app.
20:55We'll give you a stylist in the app that can help style you.
20:58Love it.
20:59It's a great idea.
21:00And we're also selling Judith Lieber and Dioclepo on her app and her store.
21:07We have our dedicated D closet, which we're so excited about, and all the Dioclepo shoes,
21:14which are already flying.
21:16Do you have D's digital closet?
21:18Yes.
21:18Or not yet?
21:18You want to look through it?
21:20So, if people can't make it to the party, they can still shop the collection through your digital closet.
21:25Okay.
21:25You know, the older I get, the harder it is for me to understand who's really speaking to that younger
21:31generation.
21:32So, I find that really challenging.
21:34So, this is your landing page.
21:37I love that.
21:38That reminded me so much of you.
21:40Yeah.
21:40If you wanted to share your closet, you can share it on any of these mediums.
21:46That's really clever.
21:46So, then it becomes more social sharing.
21:48Here's your AI stylist.
21:50You can ask it a question.
21:50I feel like I could spend a lot of time on that.
21:55It's dangerous.
21:56That I don't have.
21:56Yes, exactly.
21:58Technology and social media have changed the game a lot in the fashion industry.
22:03You have to be on those platforms.
22:06I was trying to wrap my head around what it is and now that I'm in the physical space and
22:11you sat down and explained it, now I get it.
22:13Yeah.
22:13It sounds more intimidating than it actually is.
22:15Correct.
22:16It's more intuitive.
22:17But once you get into it, it all kind of flows.
22:19Well, it's literally like you're stepping into the app.
22:21Yeah.
22:22Yeah.
22:22Which is cool.
22:22We could talk to you forever.
22:24We don't want to leave.
22:25Let's hang out.
22:26We have tomorrow.
22:26We have tomorrow.
22:27I'm so happy to see you.
22:28I love you guys.
22:29Oh my God.
22:30Love you.
22:30Thank you so much.
22:31I put pressure on myself and always staying relevant is really challenging when you're not 20.
22:40We're going back to the hotel.
22:42Thank you so much, dearie.
22:44Hello.
22:45Hi.
22:45Is Semmy back from school?
22:47Yep.
22:48We're in the car.
22:49Hi.
22:50How was school, my love?
22:51School was good.
22:53Yeah.
22:53All right.
22:54What did you have for lunch today?
22:57I had some fish, rice, and vegetables at school.
23:01Okay, look.
23:01Okay.
23:02Look where I am.
23:03I'm on the west side.
23:04Yeah.
23:05I'm on the west side and 55th.
23:08Well, next time you come with me to New York, okay?
23:11Yeah.
23:12Is that an expectation?
23:14No, it's a request.
23:17It's a requirement.
23:18No, it's not.
23:19It's not a requirement.
23:21It's a request.
23:22Only if you want to.
23:24I love being a mom, but I can be a mom and still do other things.
23:29I'm always thinking to myself, how I can do this better?
23:33How can I be a better mom?
23:35How can I be a better friend?
23:36That's what drives me to be better, to do better.
23:39Okay.
23:39Well, I miss you so much.
23:40I miss you.
23:41I really do.
23:42I can't wait to see you.
23:43I'll call you later, right?
23:44All right.
23:46Okay.
23:46Love you.
23:47Bye.
23:48Bye, sweetheart.
23:48Come to your heart more.
23:53Again, you hear a love conversation.
23:56Pick God up and let everybody be here and expect that we've had only five seconds,
23:57you fish with wraps pickings.
23:58Yeah, let's eat.
23:59I'm claz.
24:00Shanae.
24:00Shanilada, shaliladanganala.
24:03Shah lalalalala, shana, I'm claz.
24:04Shanilada, shalilada, shalilada, shalilada, lalala.
24:06You're not doing it.
24:08Shalilada, la-lamalala, shalilada, love.
24:14I love you.
24:15Oh, I怎, my Herz, my foot.
24:18I didn't want to do the workout.
24:21I thought doing the cool down was better.
24:26This Pilates event with Meta is going
24:28to be the first of many events that we want to reposition
24:32win beauty.
24:34You're only as good as you recover.
24:36That's what my coach has always said.
24:38We have an opportunity to not relaunch,
24:41because we're so young.
24:43But it's an opportunity for people
24:45to look at us in a different way.
24:50We're not upstairs.
24:51Upstairs, I'll see everyone upstairs.
24:54He's going to go to the party in like an hour.
24:56Yes, I'm good.
24:57Do you need anything?
24:58You sure?
24:59I need to make sure my girl's OK.
25:00You're ridiculous.
25:01I'm great.
25:02Serena and I met at a party.
25:04She kind of like photo bombed one of my photos.
25:07And then we started chatting.
25:10I consider Serena a friend.
25:11And I'm fortunate enough to have worked
25:13with so many incredible women who are so inspiring to me,
25:16who go out of their way to create community.
25:19Those are the people I want to spend my time with.
25:22We're going to do the panel.
25:23And then there's going to be light bites and refreshments up there.
25:25There's a water station.
25:27And the weather really cleared up, so we can actually have everyone upstairs.
25:29OK, great.
25:30We bonded on the fact that we both invest in early stage companies.
25:35And I know she's raising her VC fund.
25:37And when I started my venture company, Serena Ventures,
25:402% of money was going to women.
25:42And a fraction of that was going to women of color or people of color.
25:45She's opening so many doors on a huge level by using our platform.
25:50You said something the other day on the panel that I'm going to reference in our chat at some point,
25:54because it was really, it was really, really good.
25:56It was all about, like, pressure being a privilege.
25:59Yeah.
26:00In the last couple days, whenever I have felt overwhelmed,
26:02I've, like, taken that moment to be, like, OK, I'm in, like, this is a privileged place to be.
26:07I mean, if you think about it differently and think about it that way,
26:10it changes your whole life, really.
26:13This literally changes everything, your perspective.
26:15So I'm going to pop in and say we have the guests getting ready.
26:18Thank you for joining us.
26:19Of course.
26:19So excited.
26:21All right, let's go.
26:22Winning looks good on me, baby.
26:29All right, OK.
26:31You're going to want to get down real low,
26:33going to get all loving it.
26:35You're going to want to turn it up real high,
26:37going to get all high with it.
26:39Hey, look, we rolled in.
26:40What's on your leg, girl?
26:42It's been relaxing and just running around.
26:45Things are coming through.
26:47Just put it on your mind that I want to work out with you one time.
26:50Are you sure?
26:51Yeah.
26:51Got it.
26:53How are you?
26:53Thanks for coming.
26:55They said you were going to be here.
26:56Yes, I'm here.
26:57I just saw your cover.
26:58The face, gorgeous.
27:00With that full body.
27:01Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
27:02Oh, thank you.
27:03Eight down.
27:04My favorite relationships are the friends who, like,
27:07you may not see for a while, but it's never awkward.
27:10It's never weird.
27:10You just pick up right where you left off.
27:13Hey.
27:13How are you?
27:14Everybody understands that we all got our own thing going on,
27:17but when we come together, it's always a vibe.
27:21And without further ado, we have incredible women today
27:24to speak to you, Hannah, Kendall, and Serena.
27:27You need no intro.
27:31I was over there chatting.
27:33I didn't realize.
27:33I saw that.
27:34I was about to be like, girl, hello.
27:37By the way, I'm Hannah Bronfman.
27:40Hey.
27:41So, ladies, I'm really excited to be chatting with you both today.
27:45It would be nice to hear maybe from you, Serena.
27:47Like, obviously, you talk a lot about, like, it being a very different
27:50active now than it was before.
27:52Like, what are some of your self-care things that you do now?
27:57Are you going there?
27:57I, listen, girl, you're, I mean, yeah, I'm going there.
28:01As a mom, I feel like I go out the window.
28:04I know.
28:04Like, it's all about my kids, and it's all about what I can do for them,
28:07and it's all about, like, I need to show up for them.
28:10I need to do this.
28:11I need to do this.
28:12I'm exhausted, but I'm still going to make tacos or whatever I'm making.
28:15How am I giving back to myself I think is such an important topic.
28:19I run, like, four times a week.
28:22Wow.
28:22I love getting my nails done, and I know that might sound weird,
28:26but it's, like, my favorite thing in the world to do.
28:28No one said it was weird.
28:29For self-care?
28:30Like, hello.
28:30Does that count?
28:31Active beauty isn't necessarily sport.
28:34I wake up at seven every day and don't stop.
28:39I love the chaos.
28:40I don't have time with the 18-month-old to reapply mascara.
28:46Also, by the way, she totally knows how to put on makeup.
28:49Like, I'm not kidding.
28:50She grabs a concealer and she puts it on my face, not perfectly,
28:54and then she takes our sponge and she starts blending.
28:57Oh, you're so young, but I'm so proud.
29:01I grew up, obviously, just in awe and enamored of everything you've done,
29:05and it's been so cool to see how you have always taken that intersection of beauty and sport
29:11and shown that there's power in how you present yourself.
29:13You know, coming into tennis, I was a Black girl from Compton.
29:17I didn't look like anybody else, and I wasn't going to wear these basic plain outfits,
29:22and I literally didn't fit in.
29:23So I always liked fashion. I always liked design.
29:26I didn't feel you had to choose to be strong or beautiful.
29:30I just wanted to be myself.
29:31That's kind of how I built Win Beauty.
29:34Like, it was just about, you can be strong. It's active beauty.
29:37I've represented myself in so many different places in the world.
29:42I wanted my brand to represent the people and the fans that supported me around the globe.
29:47So that's why we have such a range of makeup colors for each and every shade,
29:51because diversity is important.
29:53Thank you so much to Win and Meta and all of you and you.
29:58I think today was a success.
30:00I feel like we've nailed our space, but we still have a lot of work to do.
30:03There's no way around that.
30:05The reality is, for each company that made it,
30:07there's probably a million companies that didn't make it.
30:11I could never live with that.
30:12And so all the stakes are on the table right now.
30:14Like, let's do this.
30:16That was so great.
30:17You did so well.
30:18It was amazing.
30:19Let's dance the night away.
30:26Let's dance the night away.
30:28Let's dance the night away.
30:29If the sky falls down, we've got tonight.
30:35All we know is here and now.
30:38Let's do it right.
30:40Do you feel like you're emotionally in a better spot today
30:45than you were last year this time?
30:46No.
30:47I feel like the grief has been harder for me this time.
30:50It's hard to focus like I used to.
30:53It's hard to, you know, have to...
30:55I used to have JR all the time being like,
30:57you're going to kill it on stage.
30:58What are you talking about?
30:59Oh my God, they're going to go nuts.
31:00And then, you know, I'm second guessing myself a hundred times.
31:03Like, am I doing this?
31:04Should I be saying this?
31:05Should I handle it this way?
31:07What should I do?
31:08You know?
31:09I beat the shit out of myself that way.
31:12I beat myself up hard.
31:15Okay, ladies, I got to go.
31:16Okay.
31:17There's no map for this.
31:19It's like Serena says, nobody gives you a guide.
31:21Nobody gives you a map to figure it out.
31:24You just have to figure it out on your own.
31:26I love you.
31:27I love you.
31:28I love you so much.
31:29I love you.
31:30You okay?
31:30Yes.
31:31I love you.
31:33You know, Amber, she hasn't given up on me.
31:36And I'm grateful for that.
31:37I got to pick back up, Lauren.
31:38You got to keep going.
31:39You got to show them you can do it.
31:41That your mom is still here and she is determined to be the best version of herself.
31:46Do you guys have my clothes, my change of clothes?
31:49Let's go.
31:56Last night, 345, I get in the bed knowing I'm only going to get three hours of sleep.
32:02Then I start having flashbacks and a lot of emotions with JR.
32:07I'm just torturing myself and I'm like, you know, I'm a week away, you know, from him dying.
32:12So I have PTSD.
32:14It's exactly a week away today.
32:16Keep my shoes together right now.
32:18Okay, I'm sorry.
32:18No, it's okay, but it's hard.
32:21This event is so critical, so important.
32:24It's such a pivoting moment.
32:27It's everything that I'm afraid of.
32:30Everything I've been working on for myself.
32:34Good morning, guys.
32:35How are we?
32:36I wonder if when I walk up there, will they see all the gut-wrenching pain that I've been in?
32:41Or will they see that this girl is the leader?
32:44I'm going to give them all I got, and that's all I can do.
32:49And it's not easy.
32:51Okay, am I all good?
32:54I need a water.
32:56I'm dizzy right now.
32:58Here we go.
33:01I am ready for all of me.
33:05That's it.
33:06No, I'm going to change.
33:08Are you ready?
33:11No, no, no, no.
33:12Are you ready?
33:16Lauren coming out.
33:19Introducing...
33:20Ladies and gentlemen, your founder and CEO, Lauren Reidinger!
33:32Wow!
33:34I love you guys!
33:39How lucky are we?
33:42We have the greatest company.
33:44Oh, Lord, it's a crazy time.
33:48Thank you for being here with me.
33:50It means so much to me.
33:53It means so much.
33:56Now, although my heart may be broken, this company is not broke.
34:02This company is not broke.
34:06We are better than we've ever been before.
34:10Those dreams that you see when you close your eyes, they're right there on the horizon for you to grab.
34:18The only person that can stop you is you.
34:22I want to recognize my beautiful daughter.
34:25I'm so proud of you.
34:25And your dad would be so proud of you.
34:28Give it up for Amber Reidinger!
34:29And for my grandchildren.
34:32Nothing on this planet to pop up love more than the three of you and your mama.
34:38And I will tell you this, this company has always been yours and it will forever be yours.
34:45I want you to know what a magic moment it is for Mark and I that you came back.
34:50Because I didn't know if you would after we lost J.R.
34:55I'm grateful for the audience.
34:57I'm grateful for the trust.
34:58I'm grateful for the respect.
35:00I needed to feel confident again.
35:02I needed to rebuild myself again.
35:04I'm still doing that.
35:05Being back out helped me put my superhero cape back on.
35:12A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
35:17Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life.
35:22You know, people used to say to me, the best of your life, Lauren, is still ahead of you.
35:26The best of this company's life is still ahead of us.
35:30The best of your life is still ahead of you.
35:33I'm going to do it with you.
35:34I will become better.
35:36You will become better.
35:37We will be the biggest, the best on top of the rest.
35:41I don't think I will ever be able to be J.R.
35:44All I can do is take everything that he ever gave me and taught me and pass that on in
35:49the very best way I can.
35:51I feel really great I got through it and I'm really proud of myself.
35:54And I love you.
35:56And I'm grateful for you.
35:58God bless all of you.
36:02I love you.
36:03That's my sweet move.
36:06I see the clouds breaking over my head.
36:11Ground's shankin' onto my feet.
36:14Yeah, it feels good to be me.
36:16Are you there already?
36:18Yeah, of course.
36:19Okay, I'm almost there.
36:20I'm at a stoplight.
36:21The traffic is just, like, horrendous.
36:23I suppose my biggest fear in business is failure.
36:27Nobody wants to fail.
36:28Is Ashley there or in our Talia?
36:31No, no, no.
36:32The girls aren't here yet, so don't worry.
36:35I feel anxious, and it's hard, too,
36:37because, you know, I've been working on my brand since 2011.
36:43And next season, I'm trying to go into apparel and homeware,
36:48so this is a big moment.
36:49Okay, I'll be there as soon as I can.
36:58That's amazing.
37:01I've been eating a bucket of ice cream every single night.
37:04I cannot stop myself.
37:06Is he here?
37:07I don't think so.
37:09Thank you for coming.
37:10My pleasure.
37:11Like, literally just got a thing.
37:13You're listening.
37:13You're so happy.
37:14It's the excited,
37:16because we're here to support her, to be with her.
37:18She's so excited.
37:19She's on her way.
37:20She's coming in.
37:21So nice to meet you guys.
37:24Bye-bye.
37:25Hi.
37:26Hi.
37:28It's so nice to see you.
37:30Oh, my gosh.
37:31Sorry about the trap there.
37:32Oh, don't worry.
37:33How are you?
37:33How are you doing?
37:34You look beautiful.
37:36There she is.
37:37This is great.
37:38Yeah, it's great.
37:38It's been a really steady flow since the beginning, so.
37:42How are you?
37:43I'm, I'm, I'm, well, I'm just sitting here.
37:45You're what?
37:46Amazing.
37:47I love it.
37:47You're amazing.
37:49Look at the titties.
37:50I love it.
37:50Oh, my gosh.
37:51Hi.
37:52It's so nice to meet you.
37:54It's so nice to meet you.
37:55I'm just a huge fan.
37:56She's poured so much of herself into this collection.
38:00I'm really proud of what she's done and how far she's come.
38:03Aren't you hot right now?
38:05If I could make any wish and have it come true right now, it would be that I was naked.
38:08I bet everybody would love it.
38:10No, you know what we need?
38:12A streaker.
38:13Tommy, let's do it.
38:15Let's do it.
38:18But honestly, people don't streak like they used to.
38:21And it's fun and joyful.
38:22They should.
38:23Yeah.
38:23I don't know why not.
38:25I'll streak your show Sunday night.
38:27That would be amazing.
38:29You know, we're just friends and women that really want to support one another.
38:33It's very, very exciting, you know, for me to be here.
38:37So this is one of mine.
38:38And this one, you might recognize Taylor Swift has this one.
38:42And I've always loved fashion and I'm launching apparel.
38:46Not really cool or on TikTok, but I think the event turned out great.
38:50We're here representing Judith Lieber tonight.
38:52These are from the new Judith Lieber collection, which are also available through Viteer.
38:57We had a great crowd.
38:58We got great press.
39:00We're getting the recognition with the sales and with people saying that they like the handbags and the shoes.
39:07We got, you know, social media buzz.
39:10And that's not always easy to pull.
39:12It's happening.
39:13The whole thing is happening.
39:15It's really good.
39:15Very proud of her.
39:17She's got a lot going on.
39:18I always knew she was the best.
39:19I'm never going to see her again.
39:20You don't really wear flats, do you?
39:22No, I do.
39:23This kind of thing is that work.
39:23This is like a kiddo.
39:25Yeah.
39:25I'm continuously working to build these brands and gain momentum.
39:30And I finally feel like that momentum is just coming.
39:35We love you.
39:36Thank you, guys.
39:37My girls showed up to support, so that made me really, really happy.
39:42Should we have my tits in here?
39:44Yes.
39:45Fine.
39:46I got some tits, too.
39:48Did you see my wife's boobs?
39:49Yes, I saw them.
39:51Aren't they cool?
39:51They're amazing.
39:52Dee has poured a lot of heart into this, and I'm always such a big believer in women's
39:58empowerment.
39:58For me, it's how do we elevate each other?
40:00How do we make each other feel good?
40:02Are you guys coming to Tommy's show?
40:04I could be naked and bad with my dog.
40:05The sacrifice is worth it.
40:07It's worth it.
40:08Now my life is beginning a new chapter.
40:11I just think it's never too late to start a career or to have a passion to work towards.
40:17It's never too late.
40:18You know, life begins at 58.
40:21You did a great job.
40:22So where was the red dog?
40:24I know there was a too much.
40:25It was great.
40:25It was great.
40:26It was so much fun.
40:27It was great.
40:28It's going to be great.
40:29Okay.
40:30Bye, guys.
40:31Bye, Dee.
40:31Thanks.
40:52It's really wet outside, Claude, with her.
40:55Because it's so wet outside.
40:58Cactus water?
40:59Yeah.
41:00What's that?
41:02Um, the guy I had Pilates with him at Aloe, and he was like, let me send you and your
41:07kids
41:07cactus water.
41:09Not Blaze.
41:10Not Blaze.
41:11Who has completely ghosted me.
41:13No, he hasn't.
41:14Yes.
41:15Did you DM him?
41:16Babe, I texted him.
41:17Let me know what your commitment is to the none.
41:19Like, never heard back from him.
41:21Come on.
41:21Swear to God.
41:22Close the loop.
41:23Yeah, just if it's a no, it's a no.
41:24If it's a no, it's a no.
41:25Just, like, it's all good.
41:27After our lunch, which went really well.
41:29It's so crazy when I met her, I thought that she was, like, just an influencer.
41:34But you're super impressive, so.
41:36Let me write my check now.
41:38Stop.
41:39Before this drop.
41:40You think Venmo, Blaze, like, verbally committed to wanting to write us a check.
41:45We just did not hear back from him.
41:47So what's the reality on the new close of your fund?
41:51Oh, oh.
41:53Uh, before the end of the year.
41:55Are you still going to hustle as hard?
41:57Totally.
41:58I'm very hard on myself.
41:59I, like, I come from a family that gives out love and respect because of your business acumen.
42:07My great-grandfather started a company called Seagram's, which was an incredible whiskey company.
42:13My grandfather then took it over, and then my father took it over.
42:18You know, the better he was at his job, the more respect he was going to have in his family.
42:23And that has definitely trickled down to me as well.
42:26And I definitely think that there is a lot of pressure I put on myself to live up to my
42:30family name.
42:31I am an inherent hustler.
42:33I am not satisfied unless I'm working.
42:35So end of year.
42:36Yeah, which is three weeks, basically.
42:39And I have to, like, text people and, like, muster up some more business.
42:42I know, but can Jamie just deal with that and you not?
42:44You should try and pass off as much as you can so you can focus on the other stuff.
42:48Well, some relationships are my relationships, and some relationships are her relationships, you know?
42:52Yeah, but kind of can't you just follow up and be like, hey, I'm putting you in touch with my
42:55partner.
42:56Like, she's going to take it from here.
42:57Let's get this closed so you don't have to, like, be in the weeds and you can focus on other
43:01work.
43:04People might think, oh, she comes from money and we have a common campaign.
43:08Is it hard to ask for money?
43:09What's the reality of that?
43:11I have lived off what I earn since the day I left college.
43:15And I'm very lucky that my parents come from money.
43:18I don't want to be that person who's, like, you know, trying to monetize every connection.
43:22I have very limited capital on my own, and in order to keep doing this, I need to raise outside
43:26capital.
43:27Can you put this, you want to put this top on?
43:29It's really difficult, but I think at the end of the day, like, you just need to have some really
43:36thick skin because you are going to be put down, said no to, doors closed in your face, and, like,
43:43you just have to keep going.
43:44I mean, this fundraising grind is no joke.
43:47You've been burning it hard, like, on calls all summer, Zooms, trying to get this money.
43:53This is, like, unfortunately, your new reality, but you've got to find time for yourself, too, you know?
43:58Mm-hmm.
43:59You can't just be trying to be everywhere all the time and burning it hard.

44:44Kyle's been there for, like, three years, so I feel like for him, he feels more settled.
44:48My boyfriend, Kyle, is a professional basketball player, and he was traded to Milwaukee.
44:55My career is hard.
44:57Anytime I have to work, I have to leave.
44:59I love that man, but I don't know how I'm going to make it work.
45:03I'm going to go to Mexico to launch the latest shoe collection.
45:08Mexico, to be there.
45:09I always get nervous.
45:11Ay, mimi, mira donde estoy, estoy nerviosa.
45:13It has been 30 years since I've been to my childhood home.
45:18Ok, yo me estoy desmayando.
45:43I'm going to run the road.
45:47Cause I am a warrior.
45:52Woo, yeah, yeah.
45:56Woo, oh, oh, oh.
