00:01Oh my goodness, look at that girl.
00:04I created K-Skin for everyone under the sun to have SPF that works for them.
00:12I'm doing an event with Vitear during Fashion Week for Judith Lieber.
00:17And for my brand, Dioclepo, this is a big moment.
00:21Oh my gosh, hi!
00:22So this is one of mine. Taylor Swift has this one.
00:26I think the event turned out great.
00:30How are you feeling?
00:32The next week I go to convention in North Carolina.
00:35This is a really important one.
00:36My husband, Tara, passed away two years ago.
00:39My heart breaks for her because I know she hasn't grieved.
00:43Ladies and gentlemen, Lauren Reitinger!
00:48Being back out helped me put my superhero, Kate, back on.
01:01I will kick you fire.
01:03Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:06Feels so good now.
01:09Breaking the mold and peeking out every door.
01:13Hold on, where's the party?
01:15Yay!
01:16It's here!
01:17Welcome to Miami!
01:18Welcome to Miami!
01:18Welcome to Miami!
01:20Miami!
01:21Miami!
01:22Yay!
01:23Hi, honey!
01:25Oh, my God.
01:26I miss you so much.
01:27I miss you so much.
01:27You look great.
01:29Mwah!
01:29What do you look dear?
01:30I'm making music.
01:32You look gorgeous.
01:33Wow.
01:34How are you?
01:35You look fantastic.
01:37She always does.
01:38You guys are so sweet.
01:40I miss you so much.
01:42You don't get so greasy on me.
01:44I know.
01:44I miss you.
01:45I met Taliyah when we were all living in Greenwich.
01:50Taliyah has been a really great friend to me for many, many years.
01:54And she's bubbly, smiley.
01:56She is a Latin superstar.
02:00Did I ever tell you the story that I remember when we went to Mexico?
02:03It was like Michael Jackson stuff.
02:06Like, people were breaking down the barriers.
02:09Like, Taliyah!
02:10Taliyah!
02:11Taliyah!
02:11Oh, my God.
02:13What would you like to be considered the queen of Latin pop?
02:16I don't know.
02:18Titles.
02:19I'm a singer.
02:20A songwriter.
02:21An actress.
02:24An entrepreneur.
02:25I have a fashion line.
02:27The Taliyah Saudi brand.
02:29And I'm in love with it.
02:30It's a dream come true.
02:32If you've sold over 25 million records, we'll have won it.
02:3450-something.
02:37I don't like to think about that.
02:39I just don't like to review the past.
02:41Although in social media, they post things and they tag me and I see myself in things like,
02:47When I did that?
02:48Stop it!
02:49Can somebody raise that?
02:51Are you going to Mexico?
02:52We were trying to go together soon.
02:54I'm going to go to Mexico because we've been working for like a year and a half with the companies
03:00in there
03:01to launch the, you know, the latest shoe collection with Price Shoes.
03:05That is the company where I have this new collection, blah, blah, blah.
03:07When was the last time you were there?
03:09Years.
03:10Wow.
03:10Years.
03:11Years.
03:11The Latin market.
03:12It's very important.
03:14And so we're going to go in this promotional trip and we're going to touch base with my brands in
03:21beauty, makeup, fashion, creating new ways to connect with my audience.
03:27And I'm meeting my partners face to face.
03:30It's so important that my brand keeps growing in every single way.
03:35So many friends of mine are in a new world of evolving into something even bigger, not resting on your
03:43laurels and doing big things.
03:45Yeah.
03:45You just always move forward.
03:47That's important.
03:47This whole next chapter is so important.
03:49I'm so excited.
03:50You're going to have a really great next chapter.
03:54It's chapter.
03:57Chapters.
03:58Yes.
03:58We are having.
03:59We are having.
04:00Yes.
04:01The best chapters, right?
04:02Yes.
04:03Totally.
04:08Hi.
04:14Hello.
04:16I'm a little wet.
04:17I love it.
04:17It's a great day.
04:18Welcome to sunny Florida.
04:20Oh, my God.
04:21Look at this weather.
04:22Welcome.
04:23You haven't been here before.
04:24Ever.
04:24Have you even been to Palm Beach before?
04:26No.
04:27Never.
04:27You live at a castle, Babs.
04:28Oh, my God.
04:30Oh, hi.
04:32Hi.
04:32Nice to meet you.
04:34Have you not met Sebastian?
04:35No.
04:36Oh, my goodness.
04:37It's so nice to meet you.
04:38I've seen pictures of you.
04:40I've never met you before.
04:42This is Sebastian.
04:43Yeah.
04:43It's nice to meet you.
04:44The first time I met Winnie, I met her in London when she was walking a show.
04:48I immediately went back to Tommy, and I said, oh, my God, Tommy, you have to book Winnie
04:53Harlow for your next show.
04:54Like, she's smart, beautiful, funny.
04:57She shines.
04:58This kitchen reminds me of, um, what is that movie with the Olsen twins when they went
05:03to Paris, and they were with the chef, and they went and, like, snuck and got McDonald's,
05:07and it was, like, luxe just like this, and they had, like, McDonald's fries piled up inside.
05:14Too cute.
05:16I did not see that movie.
05:18All right, well.
05:19I have to press my luck a little bit now.
05:21Now that you've allowed me to come for a sleepover, I might have to move in.
05:24Yes.
05:24Well, there's plenty of room.
05:26I can promise you.
05:27Plenty, plenty of room.
05:29Seb, Seb.
05:30I do see his room.
05:32Oh.
05:34My.
05:35Goodness.
05:36It's pretty great.
05:36I love your room so much.
05:39You have so many books in here.
05:41What's your favorite book?
05:42My favorite book is Heroes.
05:44I read last year in the seventh grade.
05:46Do you know I'm actually creating a children's book.
05:48Are you?
05:49Yeah.
05:49I wanted to make books about diversity.
05:52Currently it's called Simply Winnie.
05:54Aww.
05:55And it's about me when I was a little girl.
05:57That's nice.
05:58Yeah.
05:58I don't think that kids should feel like they're different when they're just unique.
06:03We're all different.
06:05Right, Seb?
06:05You could write a book too.
06:06I might as well write a book as well.
06:08How about I could maybe write like a book about me with autism and how it makes me unique
06:14and different.
06:16I love that.
06:17It'd be a very boring place if we were all the same.
06:19I love children.
06:21I've always known that I've wanted to be a mother.
06:24It's just important for me to be married before I have kids.
06:27You can give me a review on my book.
06:29Is that a deal?
06:30Yeah, that's a deal.
06:31Perfect.
06:31I come from a Caribbean household.
06:34I mean, no sex before marriage.
06:37Period.
06:38Don't kill the messenger.
06:39That's what they said.
06:40But kids will come.
06:42You know?
06:42Everything in due time.
06:43Do you have a place setting every time you eat?
06:45Um.
06:52Fabulous.
06:53Lux.
06:54I love it.
06:56As you should.
06:57As you should.
06:59You hungry, Seb?
07:00Yeah.
07:00All right.
07:01Did you just move?
07:02I just moved to Washington.
07:03Kyle's been there for like three years.
07:04So I feel like for him, he feels more settled.
07:07And he's so handsome.
07:09He's so tall.
07:10And so handsome.
07:10He's a fine, fine boy.
07:11He is very fine.
07:12He's a fine, fine boy.
07:12Yes, he is.
07:15He's a fine, fine specimen.
07:17But where is he originally from?
07:18He is from Michigan.
07:19So how long is this contract at Washington?
07:22In D.C.
07:23In D.C.
07:23I don't know if it'll be permanent, but I definitely feel like we'll be there for a while.
07:26Because he loves the team.
07:28He loves the city.
07:29I love the city too.
07:30It's very beautiful out there.
07:32But I had a house in L.A.
07:33And I sold it because he wanted me to come and live with him.
07:36You sold it?
07:37I did.
07:38I did.
07:38I was really...
07:39That was your house house.
07:40Heartbroken, yeah.
07:41I understand.
07:42But Kyle did really want me to be with him.
07:44Because we always have to travel to see each other when we didn't live together.
07:48And now we get to wake up together.
07:51My boyfriend, Kyle, is a professional basketball player.
07:55He plays in the NBA.
07:56He actually ended up leaving L.A. and then going to D.C.
07:59He really wanted me to be with him.
08:01And my schedule is a little bit more loose.
08:03And so I moved to D.C. with him.
08:07When I left Toronto, I moved to London.
08:10So, Fashion Hub.
08:11Right.
08:12From London, I moved to New York. Fashion Hub.
08:15New York, I moved to L.A.
08:16All these places I could work.
08:18I could just get in the car, go to a shoot, come back home.
08:22I'm working.
08:23But not now.
08:24Every time I want to work...
08:25You've got to fly.
08:25I've got to fly.
08:26I just love living somewhere I can work.
08:29And it makes it kind of difficult.
08:31D definitely does inspire me.
08:33How's your skincare line?
08:34I did a master class, so people bought tickets to come and see me do my makeup with my SPF
08:41line.
08:41Wow.
08:42And it was really amazing.
08:44We just started doing QVC, which is really cool.
08:47Oh, my God.
08:48Yeah.
08:49I'm actually doing QVC.
08:50I'm launching in the fall.
08:51She inspires me, not just as a businesswoman, but just as a woman.
08:56She is an incredible mother and a beautiful friend.
09:01And the balance between, you know, work, family, is a beautiful thing to be able to have and to aspire
09:10to.
09:10The secret is in the shake.
09:12Let's see.
09:13That is shake-like.
09:14Very professional.
09:16I feel like you've done this before.
09:20Do you go to a lot of his games?
09:21So many.
09:23So many.
09:24Okay, so I want to come to a game, a home game, because I have not been to Washington.
09:28Yeah.
09:28We should do that.
09:29You can show me around.
09:30I love that.
09:31Next time you come, I'm going to give you proper Palm Beach charm.
09:35Are you trying to convince me to move over here?
09:37Always, of course, but I think that you're good where you are.
09:40Yeah, I can't.
09:41It really does suck.
09:42I can't do another move right now.
09:43No, I know.
09:44Official invites.
09:45Yes.
09:46Well, I invited myself to that.
09:48I don't usually day drink.
09:50It's not even early.
09:51It's Sunday, so.
09:52It's three o'clock.
09:55You definitely will not be day drinking when you have, like, two kids coming home from
09:59school.
10:00They'll be like, Mom.
10:01Yeah, I know, I know, I know.
10:02I know, I know.
10:04I know, I know.
10:15I know.
10:19I know.
10:21I know.
10:31I know.
10:35I know.
10:36I was always a very shy girl.
10:39It is important that my brand becomes global.
10:42And this promotion, they've been like planning it for a year.
10:50And they're doing all of these events
10:52and flying people from every different city.
10:56So it's important for me to perform.
11:06Thank you for being in your country.
11:08I always get nervous, but if I start thinking
11:11about all those details, then I get stuck.
11:15I work with myself and emotionally.
11:20I just don't allow fear to get into my life
11:23and to control my head.
11:25One, four, three, two.
11:30Our new mascara is four times more volume
11:34of my collection, Talia Zodi, obviously.
11:37To celebrate the big ones, I want you to join me
11:40to give me a warm welcome.
11:42Well, you know who you are.
11:43Talia Zodi!
11:46Talia Zodi!
11:48Talia Zodi!
11:49Talia Zodi!
11:51Talia Zodi!
11:54Welcome!
11:55It's a pleasure, really, to be here.
11:58It's a pleasure to be in front of so many entrepreneurs.
12:01so entrepreneurs.
12:03This is the collection of Talia Zodi for Pride 2.
12:07Go ahead!
12:08Get it, get it, get it, get it, watch me.
12:11Head, heart, knock you out.
12:14Baby, let me show you how I break it down.
12:16Get down, one, stop down.
12:19Baby, let me show you how I break it down.
12:21Down, down, down, down, down.
12:23Fashion has always been part of me as an artist,
12:27as a person, too.
12:28It's part of a way to express myself, my emotions,
12:32my feelings, my vulnerabilities, my strengths.
12:39As a living brand, you have to constantly
12:43create something fresh, new partnerships,
12:46new featureings, new collabs.
12:48If you stop, you stop.
12:51Yo, mi mirror.
12:52Aquí está.
12:53Ven, suerte.
12:54Que te quieren de este co-estelar.
12:56De este.
12:57A ver, saca la pata.
12:59Ay, esas también son.
13:00Y esas también, claro.
13:02Aquí salió el roquero.
13:06Ah!
13:06Ah!
13:07Ah!
13:08Sí.
13:09Oye, con ese estacón, tan tudo.
13:11Te amo, pendiente.
13:13¡Ah!
13:14It's always emotional going home to Mexico.
13:17There are always a million memories that flood back,
13:20like amazing memories, like crazy memories,
13:24and some that are very, very painful.
13:28Te gusta.
13:29Te estás perdida a la emoción.
13:30De emoción.
13:32Lo más bonito de todo es que eres tan querida
13:35y es un orgullo para ti.
13:37Estoy conmovida de regresar a mi México.
13:43Te gusta.
13:46Y lo veis.
13:51Hey, guys.
13:52Hey, how are you?
13:53Good to see you.
13:54Good to see you.
13:55Hey.
13:55How are you doing?
13:56Good to see you.
13:57Good to see you again.
13:58Hey, hey, hey.
13:59Hello.
13:59Hello.
14:01Scrambled our sunny side up, baby.
14:03We're getting there.
14:04Scrambled our sunny side up.
14:05Hi.
14:06Love you guys.
14:07Always.
14:08We did convention.
14:09It was really beautiful, and it helped me.
14:11And I think being back out gave me strength again.
14:15We were just talking about the big book,
14:17like how it just overnight came to life.
14:19You know, what, how many five o'clock in the mornings
14:21that we've been on, and then you walk in and there's just like...
14:23I always worry that you're gonna quit on me.
14:25I'm always like, don't let Charlie quit on me,
14:28because I love her, and she's the one person
14:31who really understands this story, like, by just conversation.
14:36Really got the concept of how important this book is to me
14:39and why my words are important to me.
14:42Tell me why you decided to write a book now.
14:47When JR passed away and I came home on his desk in Greenwich,
14:51there was like a list of things, like,
14:52almost like he made a hit list of things he wanted to get done.
14:55And he had always talked about writing a book.
14:57When we have time and we can settle down,
14:59we're gonna write two books, Lauren.
15:01One will be about how we built a community,
15:03and the other one will be about how we found love.
15:06And so I decided to write a book now.
15:09He'll help me heal.
15:11I kept it under wraps for the most part
15:13while I was finishing it,
15:14because this has to be perfect.
15:16It was called Scrambled or Sunny Side Up.
15:18You know, when I was 18, he used to say,
15:20Scrambled or Sunny Side Up?
15:21And I would say,
15:22I don't know, baby, scramble.
15:24And he loved that I chose for him.
15:26But after you're together for years,
15:28you know, like most, we take it for granted.
15:31After I finally read it when I came home from convention,
15:34and I wrote you guys at like 4.30 in the morning, 5.00.
15:38And I said, I just finished it for the 15th time,
15:41and I love it, and it's better than it's ever been.
15:43And I cried, and I laughed, and that's what I wanted to do.
15:46There's not just a story of grief.
15:48There's a love story.
15:49There's a business story.
15:50And there's lots of lessons in this story.
15:53And the lessons that I missed also
15:57that I didn't know about till after I lost JR.
16:00Mm-hmm.
16:01One of the things that I think is different about this book
16:03than another memoir or another business book or whatnot,
16:06there are very few people
16:08that have lived your experience of 36 years in this business
16:12and like that relationship.
16:13I mean, and this is doing exactly what I was hoping for,
16:16filling up a lot of space where I feel empty,
16:19because there's guilt in grief, right?
16:22There's anger in grief.
16:23There's things I'm still struggling with.
16:25You hear, I'm sure you've seen a big difference
16:27in Lauren Reitinger since we started this.
16:29And I truly believe that my story
16:31is a lot more than my story.
16:33I think it's a lot of,
16:34I think it's literally millions of people.
16:37Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
16:38Like most people who experience grief,
16:40you think you're the one with the worst pain.
16:42I didn't just lose my husband.
16:43I lost my coach, my mentor, my best friend,
16:46you know, my lover.
16:47You know, we liked each other.
16:49And I promised myself
16:51that as much pain as I was in,
16:54that I would spend my life
16:55helping people find a plan B
16:57if they had lost their plan A.
17:00If it affects one person,
17:02that to me is the most important thing.
17:04I've always wanted to help people,
17:06you know, and I've spent my life
17:07with J.R. helping people.
17:08And it took me a long time to remember that.
17:10We're almost done.
17:11Where, when do we,
17:13where's the publisher at on things now?
17:15The publishers have the final manuscript.
17:17They're going through and making sure
17:18every period, every punctuation,
17:20no misspelled words.
17:22And then as soon as we hit lock,
17:24so we'll all get a copy of it,
17:25we get another chance to go through and say,
17:27oh, we should have called it red,
17:28not blue, or whatever.
17:29And I know it's really important,
17:30those little details to you.
17:31They are.
17:32But it'll look like the book, right?
17:34It'll be formatted and the whole thing.
17:36We'll all give a sign off on it.
17:38It's exciting.
17:39It's very exciting for me.
17:41I can't believe I'm an author.
17:43I know.
17:45Thank you for being you.
17:47That's awesome.
17:47Thank you for everything.
17:49It really means a lot.
17:50Of course.
17:50We're going to kill this.
17:51We're going to kill it.
17:53We're going to kill it.
17:53Absolutely.
17:54It's going to be great.
17:55It's going to be amazing.
17:55I'm ordering a pizza now.
17:57Yes.
18:09Yes.
18:09Hello, darling.
18:10Oh, my gosh.
18:11You look fab.
18:12It's like Miami.
18:13I haven't seen you in so long.
18:15I know.
18:15I know.
18:16I miss you.
18:17And you're working a lot.
18:18Kyle here?
18:19Kyle's not here.
18:20He's in DC right now.
18:24He actually hurt himself.
18:25Oh, he did?
18:26Yeah.
18:27Oh, no.
18:27He pulled his rib muscle.
18:30He loves playing basketball.
18:32So, like, he just wants to get back into the game.
18:34He'll get, like, so bored and be like,
18:35okay, but I don't want to play.
18:36I'm like, yeah, but you sprained your ankle.
18:38So...
18:39It's like he got hit with a...
18:40Sit down.
18:40And heal.
18:40...spiritual tool by four, right?
18:42It's like makes him.
18:44Kim Perel, my co-founder,
18:45has given me all the help and knowledge
18:49and her genius brain to help me put my brain work
18:54down to paper and out to the world.
18:57But we had that initial conversation
18:59about where I wanted K-Skin to be
19:01and where I seen it.
19:02It's always been in Sephora, you know?
19:03I really wanted it to be launched in Sephora.
19:06I feel like they really know and have a finger on the pulse
19:11to what is big, fresh, and new in the beauty space.
19:14It went from being in my brain to, like, available now.
19:18I mean, last year, we were in Paris.
19:21This time, yes.
19:22I know, I know.
19:23Pitching.
19:24Like, it's amazing because it takes a lot of effort
19:29to show up, to pitch, to understand who you're talking to,
19:33to have the conversation.
19:34To travel.
19:35To travel.
19:35Go for, like, one meeting to hear a no.
19:38To hear a no.
19:39We should do behind the scenes of pitching.
19:41That would be cute.
19:43Right?
19:43That would actually be really cute.
19:44We don't know what we go through in order to actually get to the one yet.
19:47And it's not all glamorous.
19:49Building my brand is so important.
19:52And since I've moved to D.C., I travel so much more
19:56because anytime I have to work, I have to leave.
19:59There's no work for me in D.C.
20:01So I'm always on the road, always on the go, go, go, go, go.
20:04One day, I can be in Miami meeting with my K-Skin team.
20:08And then the next day, I got to get on flight
20:10because I have a modeling job in L.A.
20:12All right, kids, let's get to work.
20:19Wait, wait, wait, wait.
20:19We're doing the push-in right now, yeah?
20:22Can't always say you're welcome.
20:23As a Caribbean.
20:25Pack it up.
20:26Pack it up.
20:27Pack it up.
20:27So then I come back to D.C. for a couple days.
20:33Home.
20:36I have to unpack, repack, back on the road to go and do a job.
20:40You are a multi-hyphenate supermodel, beauty entrepreneur.
20:44What piece of advice would you give about those hard, long days?
20:47You have to go for the things that speak to your spirit.
20:50Woo!
20:50I love it, you guys.
20:52I feel like I just go.
20:53I just make it work.
20:54Full speed ahead, put my foot to the gas, and make it shake.
20:58People say, like, you can have it all or you can't have it all.
21:02It is a balance of the two.
21:05Perseverance is the key to success.
21:08The behind-the-scenes that no one sees is amazing
21:13because I think that's what truly makes a great entrepreneur.
21:16It's like the resilience and the grit and just keep on going,
21:20regardless of circumstance.
21:21Like, that's what makes true success.
21:23Absolutely.
21:24So...
21:25Resilience.
21:25Yes, resilience.
21:26We got this.
21:27Yeah.
21:28We got this.
21:28We got this.
21:31Angel, did the book come in from the publisher?
21:39The actual book didn't come in, but I got some...
21:42I gotta love you.
21:43The book didn't come...
21:45The book didn't make it in on time, so you got me a mock-up.
21:49Because it was supposed to be here two days ago.
21:51Absolutely.
21:52But I love you that you did me a mock-up from it.
21:54The book is almost at its completion point.
21:57We're finalizing the cover.
21:58This is my favorite.
21:59I like the color.
22:01I like the broken egg.
22:02The texture.
22:03The texture on the book.
22:03I think we need to shrink down the words
22:06choosing to live your best life after losing your greatest love.
22:10Subtitle.
22:10And I would also say make sure Serena's name pops, too.
22:13You know, for sure we want it to pop.
22:15Yeah.
22:15You know, the book's so important to me.
22:17She's so important to me.
22:18So I want the book to be something that not only am I proud of,
22:22but she's proud of, you know?
22:24I want to call Serena and thank her.
22:30Hey.
22:31Hey, boo, babe.
22:32You look gorgeous.
22:33Well, you do, too.
22:34How are you?
22:35I'm good.
22:36I just wanted to call you, babe, and thank you for doing this book forward for me.
22:41Because I love you, and it's so meaningful to me.
22:44And, you know, you're the only person that could have done it, wrote it, and understood it.
22:48You know, you got me through the grief, and you pushed me to counseling.
22:52And, of course, that was a revelation for me because it reminded me of how grateful I need to be
22:58for what I have.
22:58I don't know how to thank you enough.
23:01You don't have to thank me.
23:02You know, the last thing JR posted was something of me and how proud he was of me.
23:07And so for Lauren to ask me to do the forward, I honestly, I felt honored, like, to really rely
23:13on our friendship and just say, like, I want you to write this special piece about the love of my
23:19life.
23:19It meant a lot to me.
23:20None of this would have happened without you.
23:23I'm just so grateful for your words, for the forward, for the message that you give to so many people.
23:28And being such a champion, not just for your friends, but for women everywhere.
23:31You really helped shape me into the person I've become.
23:34There's nothing I wouldn't do for you or for JR and for Amber and just, like...
23:40I know. I just feel like he knows that you did it.
23:43He's watching us from above, and it just feels really right, and I'm really excited about the future.
23:49Be out there selling books with you.
23:54Serena's got one of the biggest hearts in the world.
23:58Right when JR died, she wrote me, she called me every day.
24:04I love you so much. I'll call you later, okay? I miss you.
24:07Love you so much. Bye.
24:09Bye.
24:29It is the last day of this promotional trip. It was an amazing experience. The fans, my fans are so
24:35passionate. It's always inspiring to me.
24:41The more you share who you are, people connect. People believe it. People become part of the experience of the
24:50evolution of your brand, of the evolution of your product, of the dream that, listen, I achieved that. I came
24:58from a very humble neighborhood.
25:00Every time I arrive, every time I see, every time I'm falling, I'm falling.
25:05I know. I know. I know.
25:08Every time I see Mexico, my country, I feel like...
25:27All your life, your family, your mother, you, you.
25:31As a child, I was quiet and I was afraid. I felt lonely a lot. I was surrounded by people,
25:38but still felt like no one really saw me.
25:42In my mind, I was going to be a scientist like my father or in biology. But sometimes I just
25:48wanted to be the one inside of the TV singing and entertaining and performing. And I never, ever thought it
25:59was going to become a reality.
26:01Let's do it!
26:02Let's do it!
26:03But at the same time, they could make you feel like isolated, like lonely, like I'm an outsider. Everything is
26:13happening, but I just, I'm observing.
26:16I think there's like old patterns that you learn from childhood, from your family.
26:22We have to eat enchiladas.
26:25We have to go on the way to where I'm going.
26:28Here I bought your piñata.
26:30What was my mother?
26:32Here is a grocery store.
26:34Oh, to buy my children!
26:36They sell piñatas and they sell sweets, everything.
26:38They sell me.
26:39They sell to payasos, whatever you want.
26:41Okay, to send you here to buy?
26:43Here is the inside circuit.
26:46This is the piñateria that has been here all my life.
26:49All my life.
26:50Yeah.
26:51Looking back to that little girl, like that young Thalia, my father died when I was six.
26:56When I was a teenager, my career gave me a new scape.
27:01It made me wear a mask when I didn't feel strong, but trauma is always there.
27:07You cannot erase it.
27:09You cannot hide it.
27:11Sometimes that little kid is the one that is in the corner inside of you saying like,
27:16I can't, I'm so nervous, I want to hide.
27:18So I work with myself to survive all of this.
27:23Ay, mi, mi, mira donde estoy. Estoy nerviosa.
27:27Por qué dices eso?
27:28Pues porque estoy nerviosa de ver todo.
27:31Estás emocionada, se dice.
27:33Andale, tengo que quitarme eso de nerviosa.
27:35Nerviosa, no.
27:36No.
27:36No.
27:36This is the first time I'm back, like in 30 years.
27:4130 years.
27:42Like in 30 years.
27:44Or more.
27:46Sí, quedé el mal.
27:47O sea.
27:49Porque te fuiste y te fuiste a la colonia.
27:52Sí.
27:53It has been like 30 years since I've been to my childhood home.
27:58Not in the plan, but I want to go there.
28:01I just feel like it's a good chance to connect with what my childhood was.
28:07Some of those memories is just painful.
28:10I think it's a way for me to heal that.
28:14¿Estás lista?
28:17Se te ve el cable, mi amor.
28:21No sé, no sé si yo pueda.
28:30¿Estás lista?
28:33Se te ve el cable, mi amor.
28:37No sé, no sé si yo pueda.
28:40Estoy tan emocionada.
28:42La vecindad.
28:43La vecindad.
28:44La vecindad.
28:44¿Qué te dije?
28:46Esta era.
28:47La vecindad.
28:48Peligrosa, mi amor.
28:50Ay, mi amor, qué bonitos momentos.
28:52Ay, que me estés acompañando.
28:55La vida es hoy, mi amor.
28:56La vida es hoy, mi amor.
28:59That neighborhood was amazing.
29:01So for me to go back there brings back so many memories.
29:06Hola, vecinos.
29:09Walking by the hand of my mother on the way to the church
29:12or to the little store crossing the street was my school.

29:19¡Esta es!
29:19¡Esta es mi casa!
29:20¿Y por qué puso perros tu papá?

29:27Ay, mi amor, yo quiero llorar.
29:29Espérate.
29:32Espérate, Eva.
29:35¡Mi casa!
29:39¡Ay, mi amor, mi casa!

30:11¡Gracias por abrirnos!
30:11Sí.
30:12When I was growing up in that house, in that neighborhood,
30:15the nuns were our neighbor.
30:17I was just like, always spying on them.
30:21They bought my home.
30:22That is such a crazy surprise.
30:25¿Voy a entrar a mi casa?
30:28¡Voy a entrar a mi casa!
30:30¡Voy a entrar a mi casa!
30:31¡Déjame ver si puede!
30:33¡No tiene ya!

30:34¡Imagínate!
30:37¡Estoy muriendo!
30:39¡Me estoy muriendo!
30:39Ok, yo me estoy desmayando.
30:41¿Quieres desmayarte ahorita o después?
30:44¡Estoy temblando!
30:46¡Estoy temblando!
30:46¡Puedes entrar a tu casa!
30:47¡Madre!
30:48¡Maldita!
30:48¡Maldita!
30:49¡Maldita!
30:49¡Convertimos en una parte de tu casa en una capilla!
30:52¡Aquí todavía tenemos una capilla!

30:55¡Maldita!
30:55¡Maldita!
30:57¡Maldita!
30:59¡Maldita!

35:16It just made me so sad because this is where we're at now.
35:19What does settling down for you look like?
35:22Taking a far step back away from work,
35:24or are you going to try and balance it both?
35:30Kyle and I are having relationships counseling
35:34and really having those conversations.
35:37Damn. What?
35:40That's a lot. I know, right?
35:41I will have to have the conversation that my career is hard in Milwaukee.
35:48Things are going to have to change.
35:49As we go through this move and we start to settle into Milwaukee,
35:54I feel like we'll gain a lot of that clarity.
35:57But for now, it's just, it's pretty stressful, honestly,
36:01but nourishing that career that I've built is so important to me.
36:06We'll see.
36:07I love that man, but at this point,
36:09I like a little bit more stability.
36:12I don't know how I'm going to make it work.

36:49I have a crazy day.
36:51This is your moment, baby.
36:52Fashion Week was a great success.
36:54It's full speed ahead.
36:57Talk to Joe about footwear.
36:59So he's getting rid of his licenses.
37:01My partner had taken on some other brands,
37:05and I had not known that he was doing that,
37:07which, you know, doesn't help when you're trying to launch a brand.
37:11So frustrating.
37:13What's going on with your VC fund?
37:14I heard you're doing a whole fund.
37:16Raising capital is really difficult.
37:18Lauren's giving me an opportunity to pitch my fund.
37:21Like, what?
37:22She's gonna say yes.
37:24Or, you know, we'll hunt her down.
37:29Fernanda.
37:31Where are my scissors?
37:32Rangel, my clothing brand.
37:34We have the collection about to launch really soon.
37:38Is there any way to get in touch with the driver?
37:40If the package doesn't get here,
37:42the two pieces that are missing,
37:45they're not gonna make the cut for the wholesalers.
37:48Ooh.
37:51Ahh!
38:18I am a warrior.
38:29I am a warrior.
38:34I am a warrior.
38:48You
