00:01President Trump turns up the pressure on Iran again. His latest message, time is running out.
00:06So is the fighting about to start back up? Plus, Ebola cases keep growing in Africa.
00:12The WHO has now declared a global health emergency. But are we looking at something bigger?
00:18And two planes collide at an air show. Black smoke fills the sky as military crews bail out and the
00:24show shuts down.
00:28The stories that matter, clear and credible, from across the country to around the world.
00:33These are your unbiased updates from Straight Arrow.
00:39Good morning, I'm Craig DeGrelly. This morning, President Trump is turning up the pressure on Iran,
00:45saying the clock is ticking while a fragile ceasefire remains in place, at least for now.
00:50His comments come as fresh drone attacks are now raising new concerns across the region.
00:55The United Arab Emirates says its only nuclear power plant caught fire Sunday after what officials called an unprovoked terrorist
01:03attack.
01:04No group has claimed responsibility, but the UAE foreign ministry says the attack came from the western border direction.
01:12Saudi Arabia, which sits to the UAE's west, says its air defenses intercepted three drones it believes entered from Iraqi
01:20airspace.
01:20In a statement, the UAE called the attack a dangerous escalation and a direct threat to the country's security.
01:27Meanwhile, markets are reacting to Trump's latest warning to Iran.
01:31In his Truth Social post, the president wrote that time is of the essence and said there may be nothing
01:37left if a deal isn't reached.
01:39Oil prices moved higher and stocks fell early this morning, with Brent crude climbing above $110 a barrel, while U
01:48.S. benchmark crude pushed past $100.
01:51The World Health Organization has now declared the Ebola outbreak in Congo and Uganda a global health emergency after cases
02:00spread across borders.
02:01Health officials say the outbreak is being driven by the Bundy Bujo strain of Ebola, a version of the virus
02:08with no approved vaccine or treatment.
02:10Congo has reported 246 suspected cases and at least 80 deaths.
02:16Sufferers have also been confirmed in Uganda, including one death in the capital city of Kampala.
02:22The CDC is also assessing reports that at least six Americans in Congo may have been exposed to the virus.
02:29Reports say several involved high-risk exposure, though officials have not confirmed infections.
02:35The CDC says the risk to the American public remains low.
02:39The WHO says this does not meet the threshold for a pandemic emergency, but warns the outbreak may be larger
02:46than current numbers show.
02:48Now to the other health scare making headlines.
02:51The international cruise ship at the center of the deadly Hantavirus outbreak arrived in the Dutch port city of Rotterdam
02:58this morning.
02:59The MV Hondias spent the past six days traveling from the Spanish Canary Islands,
03:04where health officials escorted remaining passengers off the ship and sent them back to their home countries for quarantine.
03:10Officials say the crew members and medical staff still on board will leave the ship in stages before the Hondias
03:17undergoes a thorough cleaning and disinfection process.
03:21Currently, all the crew members aboard, there are still 25 people aboard, and this nurse and the doctor, and they
03:29all are free of any symptoms.
03:31They have taken blood samples, and as soon as the vessel is arriving in the Rotterdam port, then they first,
03:39these test material will go to the lab for testing.
03:43Meanwhile, Canadian health officials say a passenger who was on board the ship has tested positive for Hantavirus and remains
03:51hospitalized in isolation.
03:53Officials say the passenger's travel companion reported mild symptoms but tested negative for the virus.
04:00Investigators are now trying to figure out what caused two Navy jets to collide in midair during an air show
04:06in Idaho.
04:07Remarkably, all four crew members survived.
04:10Military officials say both aircraft EA-18G Growlers were flying in an aerial demonstration Sunday just afternoon near Mountain Home
04:19Air Force Base.
04:20Video from the scene captured the jets slamming into each other, then falling together before erupting into a fireball right
04:27there on impact,
04:28while four parachutes opened above the crash site.
04:32Officials say all four aviators are in stable condition.
04:34No spectators were hurt.
04:37Military officials locked down the base after the crash, with thousands of attendees held in place for several hours,
04:43so emergency crews could reach the scene.
04:46Aviation safety expert Jeff Gazzetti told the Associated Press surviving a collision like this is unusual.
04:52He believes the aircraft may have stayed entangled briefly, giving the crews enough time to eject.
04:59The Navy is now leading the investigation into what went wrong in midair.
05:04Tomorrow's Republican primary in Kentucky has turned into a political brawl between President Trump and one of his most outspoken
05:11GOP critics.
05:12Congressman Thomas Massey says outside money from billionaires is trying to push him out of office.
05:18Trump says it's time for Kentucky voters to do it themselves.
05:22Kentucky's fourth district race is now the most expensive House primary in U.S. history,
05:27with more than $25 million spent on television, digital, and radio ads.
05:32Massey is facing former Navy SEAL Ed Galrine, who earned Trump's endorsement before officially entering the race.
05:39The president unloaded on Massey on Truth Social Sunday, writing,
05:43quote, Tom Massey of Kentucky, the worst and most unreliable Republican congressman in the history of our country.
05:50Massey has repeatedly broken with Trump on key issues, such as the Big Beautiful Bill and the release of the
05:56Epstein files.
05:57He says this race has become bigger than just a primary fight.
06:01Here he is on ABC Sunday.
06:04How did this race become the most expensive race in the history of Congress for a primary?
06:09It's because three billionaires from outside of Kentucky have funneled millions of dollars in here.
06:14They're trying to buy a seat.
06:16But you can tell that I'm ahead in the polls and they're desperate.
06:19That's why they're sending the secretary of war to my district tomorrow.
06:23That's why the president's losing sleep and tweeting about this.
06:26Massey is not the only Republican lawmaker in Trump's crosshairs.
06:30Senator Bill Cassidy lost his primary fight in Louisiana on Saturday.
06:35Cassidy was just one of seven Republican senators who voted to convict Trump during his impeachment trial in 2021.
06:42Voters also head to the polls in five other states tomorrow.
06:45Georgia, Alabama, Idaho, Oregon and Pennsylvania.
06:49Finally this morning, a historic discovery in Thailand.
06:53After four decades of dinosaur research,
06:56scientists say they've uncovered what may be the longest-necked creature ever found in Southeast Asia.
07:03The lead author of the study is calling it the last titan of Thailand.
07:07A skeletal reconstruction shows just how massive this thing may have been.
07:11Its scientific name is Nagatitan chayafamunsus,
07:16a plant-eating soropod that roamed the Earth roughly 100 to 120 million years ago.
07:22Researchers made the discovery after finding fossils embedded in rock formations.
07:27They excavated 10 bones, including a front leg bone that stretched about 6 feet long,
07:33taller than most people, really.
07:35They also estimate the dinosaur weighed around 27 tons.
07:38That's about twice the size of today's largest elephants.
07:43And by the way, Thailand has become something of a dinosaur hotspot,
07:48producing some of the most unusual prehistoric discoveries over the years.
07:52How about that?
07:53Literally a land of the lost.
07:55All right, before we head out, here's what we're tracking today.
07:57This morning, House investigators are set to interview Tova Knoll behind closed doors.
08:02Knoll was the corrections officer on duty the night Jeffrey Epstein died,
08:06as lawmakers continue digging into the case.
08:09At one, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth heads to Kentucky for a campaign stop
08:14with Trump-backed candidate Ed Galrine ahead of tomorrow's primary.
08:18At three, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin and Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
08:24are expected to announce new steps targeting so-called forever chemicals, known as PFAS.
08:29And at four, reality TV personality Joseph Duggar is scheduled to appear in court
08:34for an arraignment on child molestation charges.
