00:07in the eastern Mediterranean,
00:09while contact has been lost with more than 20 others.
00:13The flotilla set sail from southern Turkey last week in a third attempt to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.
00:21The group said the vessels were intercepted some 463 kilometres from Gaza.
00:27426 people from 39 countries are taking part in the mission.
00:31The incident follows similar interceptions in the past, the latest in October,
00:36when Israeli forces stopped another flotilla organised by the same group and detained hundreds of activists, including Swedish campaigner Greta
00:44Thunberg.
00:45Israel's Foreign Ministry earlier on Monday said it would not allow any breach of what it called the lawful naval
00:51blockade on Gaza.
00:52But international aid organisations have argued that their voyage is necessary.
00:56As humanitarian supplies reaching Gaza remain insufficient despite a ceasefire agreement.
