In a previous video I mentioned possible future / predictive easter egg items to adaptations of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel The Great Gatsby & movies of Oliver Stone in 1980 naval time travel thriller, The Final Countdown.
- Gatsby is the name of the yacht sunk by the Japanese fighters in the story.
- Baz Luhrmann directed a 2013 adaptation of Gatsby starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire & Carey Mulligan.
- Mulligan acted in a critically acclaimed episode of British science fiction TV series, Doctor Who in 2007 called Blink, written by, then, occasional series writer, Steven Moffat.
- Gerry Davis was a co-writer on The Final Countdown and penned 11 episodes of Doctor Who, including 1967 Patrick Troughton (The Second Doctor) serial, The Tomb Of The Cybermen.
- In Blink the alien menace was The Weeping Angels, this foe cropped up again in a pviotal story involving Matt Smith's Eleventh Doctor, in "The Time of Angels" (E.4 S. 5) (2010).
- Director Oliver Stone & Gatsby's Leonardo DiCaprio came close to collaborating on a film adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis novel, American Psycho, which did not pan out. Matt Smith later played the lead in a stage theatrical musical of this in 2013.
