I share a pretty obvious visual easter egg associating Danish toy construction blocks maker Lego & Japanese video game maker Nintendo. In 2025 Lego sold a 1:1 scale block built replica of Nintendo's 1989 handheld console the Game Boy.

1993 Super NES / Famicom compilation game Super Mario All-Stars combined 4 of the best selling titles from the original system (with updated graphics) in one cartridge. Super Mario Bros. 2 (1988) was among these, based on Yume Kojo: Doki Doki Panic ('86). An interesting side note about this game, the level preview screen appears monochromatic or greyscaled using a few shades of the same color, similar to how the Game Boy games originally appeared.

At the end of level 1-3 the enemy boss is Mouser. His lair is redone in what looks like multi-colored Lego blocks!

00:00In this video, I'll give a couple quick future easter eggs that associate a Japanese video game developer, Nintendo, and
00:11Danish construction toy manufacturer, Lego.
00:16Back in October 2025, Lego sold a popular product based on Nintendo's 1989 handheld game console, the Game Boy.
00:28This was a near 1-1 scale brick built replica of the system.
00:34The display could be customized by inserting replica game packs.
00:38I thought there may be a reference to this in 1993 compilation game Super Mario All-Stars.
00:47This was sold for the Super Famicom Super NES, packed in four previously sold games, including Super Mario Bros. 2
00:59from 1988.
01:01This was based on Yumi Kojo Doki Doki Panic from 86.
01:07Also designed by a team led by Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto.
01:12An interesting note about this game, the stage preview in the original NES Famicom version looks monochromatic or grayscaled, similar
01:23to how the Game Boy games appeared.
01:26At the end of level 1-3, the enemy boss is Mouser.
01:32He's a mouse that wears sunglasses and throws bombs.
01:36For the Super Mario Bros. All-Stars games, many feature redone graphics, which are updated to take advantage of the
01:47Super Nintendo's improved crawler capabilities.
01:51Yeah, for the Mouser stage, this is your Easter egg.
01:55It looks like a multicolored Lego box.
01:59And there are many of the한번 others.
01:59There's time to take advantage of the Super Mario Bros.
01:59See thenament ofgeons & Dragons.
