00:00Ah, it is 5 o'clock. Congratulations. Hopefully you're off work.
00:04Luckily for you, old dirty show, T-Mill, and a.k.a. Psycho T with his tongue out, have the
00:10latest for you.
00:11And the latest is the Astros. They play a little day baseball, and if you're wondering or scoring at home,
00:19no.
00:20Tyler did not play the celebration music.
00:24Damn it, man. I wish I would have.
00:26We are not accustomed to this.
00:29We are not accustomed to this at all, and we're used to day games, celebration music, getting after it, and
00:40they didn't.
00:40They have now dropped three of four in this series to the Mariners.
00:47They are now, Clint, 1-7 against the Mariners this season.
00:53It sucks to suck.
00:53And at this point, they are 17-28 right now, and they are 6-1⁄2 back of the A's in
01:07the West right now.
01:09And so they are really fighting it and struggling right now, Clint.
01:14And I just want to hear what Joe had to say.
01:16Shout-out to Yordan Alvarez.
01:18He went three for three with a walk, also a home run, had a double in there.
01:24Brayden Shoemake had a good game, multiple hits, had a really good series, to be honest with you.
01:29B-Shoe. No question goes by B-Shoe.
01:31B-Shoe, you think so?
01:32No question.
01:33All right.
01:34Okay, B-Shoe.
01:35There it is.
01:36Or just Shoe.
01:37Maybe just Shoe.
01:38Just Shoe.
01:38Yeah, hey, Shoe.
01:40Yeah.
01:40Is this what Pena's working with?
01:42Yep.
01:42I'm going to stop me in my tracks 14 times.
01:45That looks like Correa's wife, maybe my sister or something.
01:48What a good role model.
01:50Shout-out to Rhode Island for you, Jeremy Pena.
01:53But just keep it to yourself.
01:56Let's just say it.
01:57Actually, let's let Joe.
01:59Because, Joe, is this his response on this being a long season?
02:02Yeah, the question's in there, too, for context for you.
02:05But, yeah, buckle up, because it's going to piss you off.
02:07It's not going to piss me off.
02:08I won't let Joe.
02:09Joe can't piss me off.
02:10It got me good and angry back here when I heard it.
02:12Let's hear from the lieutenant.
02:15You talked about how long the season is, but that length is kind of running out.
02:20I mean, you guys are getting into mid.
02:22No, there's still a lot of baseball left.
02:25This is not the way we wanted to start it, but there's still a lot of baseball left.
02:28You know, we just got to create consistency and quality of play every single day.
02:33And then that's when you get rolling as a team.
02:38You got to be crapping on my face.
02:41I mean, look, the long season, that kind of bull drive right there don't cut it for me if you're
02:46leading the division.
02:47So lazy.
02:48Yeah, yeah.
02:49Well, it's just pissy poor.
02:50But it's how they approach baseball.
02:52Watch.
02:52We'll load manage guys in this next series.
02:55This is, I mean, it's bad enough to be bad and lose all these games and suck.
03:00But then you feed me that?
03:01Yeah.
03:02Let it out.
03:03Joe can get fired tonight, man.
03:04I'm done.
03:05I'm done.
03:05Joe can go.
03:06We're on day four.
03:07Joe's got to go.
03:09Go get you a minor league coaching job, you clown.
03:12Don't feed me lies and tell me stuff like it's a long season.
03:15Whenever, you've done nothing good this year.
03:17I'm sorry.
03:18The first week of the season, you did good.
03:20But after they lost those first couple of games, then they went on a roll against the Red Sox.
03:27I mean, it's insult.
03:29Astros fans should feel insulted to their intelligence with stuff like that.
03:33It's just bad leadership.
03:35It's just piss poor leadership.
03:37And there's no other way to slice it.
03:40I mean, they need to just give Carlos Correa the head job the rest of the way.
03:46Make him the manager the rest of the way.
03:47I mean, the last thing your manager should be saying as poorly as this team has played
03:55with some of the dumbass mistakes that they make.
03:58It's a long season, man.
03:59That's it.
04:00That's the last thing that they should say.
04:01I mean, he should visibly be dis...
04:04Not like embarrassed or lost for words.
04:08He should visibly be angry at what they're putting out there.
04:16Yeah, at some point, you've got to change it up.
04:19At some point, I know this is the, hey, man, I want to keep it steady.
04:23I don't want to make any overreact.
04:25I guess what his style is, is, hey, man, we're steady.
04:29I'm steady.
04:30Not going to overreact to anything.
04:32I don't know.
04:33But I'm at it.
04:33Come on, man.
04:34We're at a point right now, man.
04:36Like, hey, man, it's getting, it's, we're well past it's getting late early.
04:44Like, we're in it, man.
04:45You're about to be seven games behind the A's when they win tonight.
04:50If they win tonight.
04:51I mean, you just, at some point, like, there's, but I think it goes to why I've said that it
04:57is time for Joe to go.
05:01Because they're not responding to that.
05:06Like, he's been saying that, and his actions have, oh, the steady hand.
05:09Would you respond to that?
05:11Well, I mean, but they did in 2024.
05:13Did they?
05:14Yeah, they were 12 games under.
05:15They responded to that, and they talked about Joe.
05:18Like, you didn't see them waltzing around like this.
05:21You go looking in their eyes, hell, there's some cats that just got up from Sugar Land
05:27that look like they're despondent.
05:30And they're making mistakes that should send them back to Sugar Land.
05:32Yes, yes.
05:34Following the lead of all the other guys.
05:36Yeah, they're making brutal mistakes, but they are not responding to this steady hand
05:42approach thing.
05:43They're not responding to this.
05:45They need Mike Dicca to walk his ass in there.
05:48I mean, they need Jim Leland and two Marlboro, two cases of Marlboro with cigarettes in there
05:56lit up, and they need something more than this.
06:00They're like, all right, all right, Joe.
06:02No change-ups for Joe, just like Eli.
06:05Yeah, man.
06:05Yeah, Joe just went out there and said, hey, man, you throw the pitches you want to throw,
06:08man.
06:08I'll support you.
06:11Yeah, man.
06:12They're not responding to his style or his approach.
06:16God, it's maddening.
06:19I don't respond to any of it.
06:21You think this fellow running the youth academy, you think he can manage?
06:23Yes.
06:25I'm trying to do the best I can.
06:27Yeah, their intention to detail is poor and awful.
06:32They don't consistently do things that make sense of giving you the best chance to win
06:42like they did the other day pitching that cat who wasn't ready.
06:45I don't know who's even making that call.
06:48I don't know.
06:49But, Joe, you're the manager, so you've got to fall on it.
06:51You're allowing it.
06:52But you're either making a call or allowing yourself to be pumped.
06:57So, yeah, it's time.
07:00It is time to roll.
07:03Time to roll on.
07:04So, that's the Astros.
07:078-3.
07:08No life.
07:10Dead is just how they look, the way they're playing every day.
07:14No life at all in their manager.
07:16Oh, we still got time.
07:17We still got time, baby.
07:19Plenty of time left.
07:21Plenty of baseball left, Clint.
07:23What do you see it?
07:24It's a long season, y'all.
07:25Five o'clock fire.
07:27All right, Clint.
07:28We just talked about it a little bit more, but the NFL schedule release is out.
07:34And up to this point, now we'll see if we get more understanding of it.
07:39Up to this point, it looks like that the Texans have, right now, if you count the London game,
07:48which is 8.30 in the morning, they have one, two, three, four standalone games.
07:56They've got Thursday night football, Christmas Eve against the Eagles.
08:00They've got Sunday night football against the Steelers.
08:03They've got the Colts on Thursday night football, and then that Jags game.
08:07So, two of them, division games right there.
08:11But the rest of it, it looks like they will be playing more games in the 12 o'clock hour
08:17like we're used to,
08:18as opposed to having that many more primetime games.
08:24So, yeah, I think for you, I'm sure you're excited with the post-game show that you had to roll
08:30that.
08:31Yeah, a bunch of Sunday noon games, baby.
08:33The post-game show is going to be Sunday afternoon.
08:36It looks like it's dialed back a little bit on the primetime game.
08:39Look, as well as it should.
08:41A quarterback drives the appeal, and the quarterback has not only backslid on the field,
08:47I think he's probably backslid, and I think it took a little while.
08:50It probably took a little longer nationally for people to realize it, but I think it's here.
08:55He's backslid a bit, and it's no longer a marquee matchup of quarterbacks
09:01when the best in the league has to offer come to town.
09:04So, when we're talking about the Texans' schedule,
09:08the defense is going to get challenged out of the gate in a major way the first month,
09:13and the team is going to get challenged down the stretch in a major way,
09:17with having to play in outdoor stadiums on the road in a cold part of the year.
09:22Those are the two things.
09:23The middle of the schedule is pretty manageable.
09:25The beginning and the end, for those two reasons, I think are going to be tough.
09:31Now, again, good football team.
09:33That is a team that has taken a step from double-digit wins in the second round of the playoffs.
09:37It's really taken that next step.
09:39They'll manage it, manage it well, and handle their business.
09:44A team that's struggling on either side of the ball or overall, you know, it'll show.
09:49Yeah.
09:50Yeah.
09:50So, schedule out, it is an interesting schedule.
09:55Again, as we noted yesterday, the seventh easiest schedule based off last year's opponents
10:01and what they did, and as we just spoke about it,
10:05it does not have the feel of the seventh easiest schedule.
10:09So, we'll see you next time.
