Lured (1947) Full Movie | Lucille Ball, George Sanders | Classic Film Noir Thriller
Lured 1947 film noir thriller directed by Douglas Sirk. Lucille Ball stars as Sandra Carpenter, an American dancer in London who becomes bait for Scotland Yard to catch a serial killer known as the “Poet Killer.” The film blends suspense, romance, and dark humor, with Ball giving one of her strongest pre-I Love Lucy dramatic performances.

Seven young women have disappeared in London after answering personal ads in newspapers. The killer taunts Scotland Yard by sending cryptic poems after each murder.

Sandra Carpenter, a taxi dancer, learns her friend Lucy is missing and presumed dead. Police Inspector Harley Temple recruits Sandra to answer personal ads as bait to lure the killer. She agrees and gets involved with Robert Fleming, a charming nightclub owner who becomes a prime suspect.

As Sandra goes on dangerous “dates,” she gets closer to the truth while falling for Robert. The investigation leads to a tense confrontation where the real killer’s identity is revealed and Sandra’s life is on the line.
