00:10that morning a neighbor heard two explosions and looked outside and saw the fire the woman was
00:18found dead inside the house she was gone I was devastated my mom never hurt nobody the evidence
00:27that they found in the home it's normally used for outside grills my mom had been in the fire service
00:34she knew that you didn't store that in the house this is not by accident this is premeditation
00:41but arson is hard to prove especially if you don't have any witnesses then police get a tip
00:48that turns the whole direction of the investigation now woman thinks she's seen the ghost the victim
00:56is still alive this was a diabolical plan to kill that was two years in the making we needed to
01:06find out what's going on before he was too late
01:29I was a firefighter for the horn lake fire department
01:34I got to work a little early that morning it was a quiet morning but at about 6 15 we
01:43got a fire call
01:44a neighborhood explosion in Northwood Cove and looked outside and saw the smoke and the fire and called
01:539-1-1-1 when we got there we laid a big line in from the fire plug and then
02:03one of the people on the
02:04scene came up and said she was Linda lead them and she said a neighbor called her and told her
02:10about the
02:11fire because she was Lula Young's best friend she said Lula was in the house in the back some of
02:19the
02:19firefighters were shocked to see that the home belonged to Lula Young they said Lula had worked with the fire
02:24department
02:26so several of them were actually friends with her
02:29when we found out that she was in there we immediately assembled a team and we went around the back
02:35the neighbors pointed where the bedroom was that supposedly Lula was in so we broke the window
02:42as we entered the room she could see the fire coming through the top of the door and you could
02:47feel
02:47the heat so we started crawling looking for Lula we looked around the bed and found her between the bed
02:54and the wall Lula was not breathing so getting her up was hard to do and then as we were
03:02trying to
03:03rescue Lula there was another explosion uh-oh there's something else happening here we didn't know
03:11whether it was a trap set in that room or in the hallway so it was real important that we
03:17got her out of
03:17there as fast as we could dead or alive
03:23once the firefighters were finally able to get Lula out of the home she had died already
03:32presumably from smoke inhalation
03:36once the fire is out all the hot spots are done there was a quietness nobody was talking to anybody
03:45and Linda Ledham was devastated by the death of her friend
03:54me and Lula's son Mike were preparing to go hunting we got a phone call from Linda of Agner telling
04:00us that Lula's house was on fire
04:03he talked for a minute and he hung up and he said there's been an accident at your mom's
04:13house it's not good I said sure right he goes no she didn't make it
04:21we left and probably drove the better of a hundred all the way home when I pulled in
04:31I'm just in shock
04:35I found it hard to believe that she was gone the house that I grew up in was gone I
04:44was devastated
04:47investigators want to speak to Lula's family at this point to find out more about our victim
04:55my mom and my dad got married when they were 18 and have two kids I'm the oldest and my
05:01sister stays
05:02she's six years younger than I am but then in 1981 her and my dad divorced she had to go
05:10find a job and
05:11take care of two kids on her own she became an EMT for the ambulance service and then she had
05:17started
05:18the cleaning business she worked hard to provide what she could for me and my sister she was always
05:25still happy with life she never let it get her down but then 85 Lula found out she had breast
05:31cancer
05:33she had to have a surgery and she did chemo and radiation which made her sick of the dog but
05:39she
05:40never complained and her friend Linda Liedel was a big blessing to Lula along the way she'd make sure
05:47Lula had grocers in the house and she would know what her appointment was and make sure she got to
05:53them and she developed leukemia and probably mid-summer of 94 mom had gotten to where she was having
06:01trouble getting around and mom lived by herself so she had to have a wheelchair because she couldn't
06:08stand she was taking pain medicines she was in pain a lot
06:16I talked to mom the day before the fire and she said that she was in good spirits and she
06:22still felt
06:23pretty good she was gonna beat cancer or die trying that was the last time I spoke to her
06:39while I'm standing at the house the roof was gone off of it you could see through the house from
06:45one
06:45end to the other it was awful I wanted to know what happened
06:53the arson investigators go in and start looking for how this started where it started what caused it
07:01the evidence that they found in the home immediately raised a red flag the investigators find a space
07:09heater by the front door it was determined that the heater was plugged in and turned on at the time
07:16of
07:16the fire the placement of the heater was odd why would a space heater be located inside the front door
07:24instead of in a normal location where a space heater may be next to someone's chair or bed in the
07:33same area fire investigators find a propane tank up against the wall upon investigation they did find
07:41that the valve was open about a quarter of the way and that lets out just enough gas for it
07:48to be a
07:48problem why would a propane tank that's normally used for outside grills the located inside a house
07:56and why would Lula who worked for EMS with the fire department have a propane tank with a valve open
08:03in a
08:04room next to a heater at this point investigators are looking at the possibility that Lula's house fire was
08:11set intentionally it seems like now we have a murder investigation on our hands so we needed to
08:17have an autopsy and figure out what happened there was no damage to Lula young by fire so she had
08:29been
08:29properly identified and the autopsy came back and confirmed that Lula's death was caused by carbon monoxide
08:37poison also toxicology reports showed that there were sleeping pills in Lula system sleeping pills are
08:47a common medication that people use all the time but the questions raised were was this an accident did
08:53the sleeping pills found in her system cause poor decision-making like leaving the propane tank valve
08:59open and heater on or did someone else do at this point investigators need to question friends and
09:06family to determine how the propane tank got in the house why was the heater there was it common that
09:13Lula
09:13took sleeping pills I talked to some investigators and I told him I have stopped by that Friday before to
09:21see mom and there was no space heaters there and there was not the propane tanks in the kitchen I
09:28said
09:28she had been in the fire service she knew that you didn't store propane in the house and to my
09:34knowledge she
09:35never took sleeping pills I had been a farmer for almost eight years I knew enough to know that something
09:43wasn't right the math wasn't mathin the presence of sleeping pills raised the question did someone give her their
09:51pills and was it meant to keep Lula asleep but without a witness or without someone admitting they
09:58did it it's almost impossible to prove that so investigators are still going through the
10:04evidence and searching for what they came to back up their suspicions I was a reporter covering the death of
10:13Lula young Lula had been in a community about 20 years she was well loved she was well known so
10:22the
10:22community took this investigation a little personally at this point they want to find the answers
10:33two weeks later investigators get a tip that really turns the whole direction of the investigation we
10:41receive a call from a woman and she tells us that she just ran into Lula at a local shopping
10:49center
10:49she thinks she's seeing the ghost police are shocked and confused to hear this how could this be
10:57possible what is she talking about someone had actually taken out four insurance policies on Lula Young's life
11:08and those policies added up to nearly a million dollars this wasn't just the murder it was a blueprint
11:17for the ultimate act of betrayal a woman named Brenda driver calls in to give a tip on the case
11:35Brenda shared how she had heard about Lula's death on the news but swears she had just saw Lula at
11:42a
11:42local shopping center in Horn Lane investigators know this can't be possible because Lula had been
11:50positively identified using photos but Brenda says she's an agent for nationwide insurance and four
11:57months prior to Lula Young's death she had been to Lula's house and sold Lula a $500,000 life insurance
12:05policy and she said a policy of that value requires a medical evaluation the medical evaluation showed
12:14that Lula didn't have any health issues police found this odd because in their background on Lula they
12:24had found out that she had just undergone treatment for breast cancer Brenda is sure that the woman she
12:32saw come in the discount store was Lula young and she's positive that this person is still alive investigators
12:43wonder if Brenda is getting confused and so they decided to do a photo lineup with different women from
12:50Horn Lake as well as Linda Lalum and Lula Young looking at the lineup Brenda driver immediately said
13:00that's the woman she sold the insurance policy as well as the person she'd seen at the store a few
13:05days before and points to a photo of Lula's best friend Linda Lalum all the more shocking Lula had put
13:18the beneficiary on the policy to be Linda Lalum investigators are beginning to wonder whether Linda
13:24Lalum posed for Lula Young so the police go speak to Linda Lalum about the insurance policy investigators
13:37are shocked and Linda admits to the insurance fraud but says that it was Lula's idea according to Linda
13:45Lula decided to get the life insurance policy and put Linda as the beneficiary so that if and when she
13:54died Linda would use the money to take care of Lula's family and the money not go to the kids
14:00and them
14:00spend it all at one time Linda told police Lula wanted her to represent her during the medical examination
14:09the intent of the identity swap was so that Lula could hide evidence of her cancer
14:19then Linda tells investigators that Lula wanted to commit suicide with the fire because if she had
14:27died through cancer the children would not have received any money from the insurance policy
14:33sure it was plausible that because of her illness Lula was involved in the insurance fraud part of it
14:39but dying by fire is an extremely painful way to die surely you would never agree to die in a
14:48house fire
14:49I'm thinking there's definitely something strange going on but Linda insisted that she didn't have
14:56anything to do with setting the fire she said she had been with her family all night so investigators
15:02call her family and her alibi checks out I am a private investigator insurance companies will hire
15:13when the claim is suspicious in this case investigators knew Linda didn't start the fire but she is not an
15:21innocent woman Linda took the medical exam on Lula's behalf and even though she claims that Lula asked her
15:29to do it is still fraud so the case is elevated to the FBI and the postal inspector because she
15:39was putting
15:40the insurance policies in the mail and using the US Postal Services to commit insurance fraud is criminal
15:47and looking at all the evidence they decided to go forward with the insurance fraud and mail fraud
15:54aspect of the investigation through further investigation we find that Linda had already
16:01received several hundred thousand dollars from the insurance payout so by this time two hundred and
16:08seventy five thousand dollars of the five hundred thousand dollars has been paid to Linda lead them but payments are
16:16now hearted due to the fraud investigation when investigators talked to Linda she had told them Lula knew that Linda
16:26would use the money to take care of Lula's kids and so now investigators need to go interview the kids
16:33and find out what they know about the situation
16:42I had a conversation with a postal inspector asked me did I know about uh insurance policies I said mom
16:51told me that she had a $10,000 life insurance policy basically the insurance policy was supposed to do the
16:58burial but then he said she had insurance policies over $500,000 I started laughing at her I said there
17:05is no way
17:06I said she couldn't afford the premiums for $500,000 life insurance policy so I know she wouldn't have had
17:13it the investigators made it clear that Linda had been posing as mom and had received all this money and
17:23I told him Linda never gave me money from mom's insurance policy at this point I'm very angry to the
17:32fact that she would do this
17:36because mom trusted Linda with everything
17:42at this point investigators need to find out more about the relationship between Lula and Linda
17:49the investigators did call us a couple times and I told her approximately 1978 when Lula and John Young moved
17:57into Horn Lake one of their neighbors was Linda lead them in her husband Linda and mom got to talking
18:03and stuff and the
18:05they kinda hit it off they would go out to lunch to the flea markets things of that nature
18:12she had been my mom's best friend for 20 years she was a good friend of Lula she was even
18:19friend with the rest of the family
18:20she would come to my grandmother's with my mom and Linda did taxes she did taxes for my mom she
18:28did taxes for both my aunts one of my uncles
18:34Linda led them did accounting for people in Horn Lake her father was a police commissioner Linda led them was
18:43very well respected in the Horn Lake community her full-time job is working as a nurse and she saved
18:52up her vacation days so that she could use those days to work on taxes where she could make up
19:00to a hundred thousand dollars
19:01residents in Horn Lake say that Linda led them had a healthy obsession for money
19:16and further investigating the case and digging through Linda's financial records it was found that Linda had gone on a
19:25a spending spree she's buying cars she's buying homes
19:32Linda is spending the insurance money rather quickly little if any of that money has gone to the children of
19:39Lula Young that is shocking
19:43at this point we know Linda is the only person with motive and she got a huge dollar amount motive
19:51which raised the question was Linda really capable of killing Lula or had she paid someone else to do it
20:15once Linda led them Lula's best friend admitted to the insurance fraud aspect it gave the investigators motive that she
20:26could have been involved in Lula's death
20:28the investigators tried to keep everything as tight as they could as far as what they knew and how they
20:35were operating
20:36but Linda led them new people around the community she knew people at dispatch and she was trying to check
20:43in
20:44to how the investigation was progressing that looked suspicious to investigators
20:51Linda lead them is our primary suspect so we wanted to make her think that the case was rude an
20:58accidental fire
20:59so the fire investigators told her it could have been a faulty electric cord that could have started the fire
21:07at this point in the case there's more than one investigation going on there's the fire investigation there's a possible
21:13murder investigation and then there's the insurance fraud investigation
21:17first investigators put together their insurance fraud case
21:24once the investigators started digging looking through the databases it was found that Linda had actually taken out four insurance
21:32policies
21:34on Lula Young's life
21:36there was two metropolitan insurance policies
21:39one for $75,000 and one for $200,000
21:43the third insurance policy was with nationwide in the amount of $500,000
21:49and then there was another small insurance policy a month before the fire in the amount of $38,000
21:58and Linda once again is set up as the beneficiary
22:03so at this point the investigation was turned over to the U.S. Attorney's Office
22:08because arson is hard to prove especially if you don't have any witnesses
22:14or someone who confesses to starting the fire
22:16so the U.S. Attorney's Office want to first prosecute Linda for insurance fraud
22:22while detectives billed a case for Lula's murder
22:30two years later
22:32the feds finally indicted Linda for the insurance fraud and mail fraud
22:36and she actually pled guilty on those charges
22:40also Linda had to give back the money from the insurance policy
22:44and was put on probation while we continued to work on the murder investigation
22:56it really made me think Linda was connected to the death of my sister Lula
22:59because of the fact she was the one that had something to gain
23:03I felt that she was responsible but I didn't know how
23:08because Linda's a lot of things
23:10but she didn't have the stones to do it on her own
23:15nor did she have the knowledge
23:18so she might have wanted mom dead
23:21but I didn't understand how she could have got mom dead
23:23and I was told to trust the process that they was working on things to get that answer
23:30there was a mountain of evidence against Linda for murder
23:35but it's all circumstantial evidence
23:38and Linda had an alibi on the day of the fire
23:41investigators know the tools that were used in the arson
23:47that being the propane tank with the valve slightly open
23:51and the electrical heater in the room
23:54it's just that they don't know who exactly did it
23:59fire always messes up everything where it's hard to determine what happened
24:04and fire can destroy any evidence that could be left behind
24:09Linda's not admitting anything
24:11and efforts to prove that Linda has done anything
24:15other than the insurance fraud have not come to light
24:19it's very frustrating because at this point we're at a dead end
24:24the fire investigation and the murder investigation
24:27have pretty much stalled out
24:37and then just months later
24:40there's a big break in the case when the DA's office receives a tip from a jail informant
24:47a man claimed he was close friends with both Lula and Linda
24:51and had learned of Lula's death and it was weighing heavy on him
24:56he dropped the bomb
24:58he told us he knew the person who killed Lula
25:02this is the lead we have been waiting for
25:17I received a call one day from county jail stating that they had a guy named David Vinson
25:24that claimed he knew something about the death of Lula Young
25:29so I go to the jail and talk to David Vinson
25:35he told me that somebody that had done some work for him named Charles Wayne Dunn
25:42had confided in him one day that he burned Lula up in a house fire for Linda Latham
25:51David, the confidential informant, hadn't come forward before this point because he didn't think Linda was really capable of killing
26:01Lula
26:07David had explained to investigators that he just wanted to keep his head down
26:12but then guilt started to get the best of it
26:15he felt like he had to let somebody know what Dunn had told him about
26:20and getting the investigation pointed in the right direction
26:24when I finished that interview with David
26:27it becomes imperative that I come up with a way to corroborate his statement
26:34so I checked into Dunn's past and saw where Dunn was on probation for a possession of cocaine charge
26:42so I called Dunn's probation officer and said have him come in for a meeting
26:47I want him to sit in the lobby of the probation office
26:51and then I took David out of jail, wired him up, and sent him in to the probation office lobby
26:58like he was getting on probation
27:02When Charles walks into the parole office, he's surprised to see David there
27:08The two strike up a conversation and catch up on old times
27:14David eases into the conversation with him, gets him relaxed and brings up wanting to kill somebody and how he
27:21remembered how guilty Dunn felt
27:25And Charles kind of shakes his head at David and says to think twice about it
27:31because he's had a hard time escaping his own past
27:35He didn't deny, he didn't say, what are you talking about?
27:39I didn't ever tell you I did any of that
27:42His response affirmed that he had indeed had that conversation with David in the past about killing Lola
27:51I'm thinking that this is what we needed to move forward in questioning Dunn
27:57So I go to pick up Dunn to bring him in for questioning on the case
28:04When he opened the door, he said I've been waiting on you guys to show up
28:08It was at that point when I bring in Charles Wayne Dunn to the district attorney's office for questioning
28:15When Charles is brought in, to the investigator's surprise, he immediately confesses to starting the fire that killed Lola
28:25Dunn stated that he knew Lola and he was also friends with Linda Ledham and actually dated her daughter
28:32And in 1994, a month prior to Lola Young's death, Linda had approached Dunn with a proposition to kill Lola
28:41Linda stated she'd pay him $5,000 to kill Lola and to make it look like an accident
28:46And said that Lola was a part of the plan because she was dying from cancer
28:51And they didn't want to take any chance of the policy not paying from the cancer
28:55Of course, I believe Lola would never agree to be tortured by fire
29:03Dunn claims that Linda had told him that she was such good friends with Lola that she couldn't bring herself
29:09to kill Lola
29:11But she could get someone else too
29:14Linda wanted Lola dead at all costs
29:22Dunn stated that him and Linda came up with a plan to make the fire look like an accident
29:28That the plan involved using a propane tank and a space heater
29:34And we didn't share that information with the public
29:37Which led us to believe that Dunn was being truthful in the minor about what happened and how it was
29:43done
29:44According to Dunn, Linda gave him the funds to make the purchase of the heater
29:49And Linda dropped the propane tank off at Lola's house asking her to store it there
29:55Because it was a Christmas gift for one of her kids
30:01After Dunn confessed, he was arrested and charged with Captain Murderer and Arson
30:08When I found out that they had arrested Mr. Dunn for the murder of Lola
30:13And we found out they tried to convince investigators that Lola committed suicide
30:19It did surprise me
30:21Because Lola will always believe fight on
30:25Plus, one of my mom's biggest fears
30:28Was burning
30:30She would never be part of a plan of a suicide
30:33I was very angry to the fact
30:36That they would do this
30:40Mom never saw this coming
30:41Not in a million years
30:47Now that I have Dunn in custody
30:50I devised a plan to wire him up and send him into Linda's house
30:55We needed her to admit her involvement in Lola's death
30:59To prove this was a cold-blooded, premeditated murder
31:05I'm thinking we finally have her
31:19In order to try to corroborate Charles Dunn's statement Linda Ledham had paid him to
31:23Said Lola's house and fire him
31:25So I devised a plan to send Dunn to Linda's house with the wire
31:30And they talked to Linda
31:34And they talked to Linda
31:34Charles mentions the police has been sniffing around
31:37And they've been asking him questions about Lola
31:41And he wanted to know what to do
31:43Linda's a pretty savvy lady
31:45Linda doesn't take the bait
31:47She just says, hey, I'll give you $500 to get out of town
31:53This is not the behavior of an innocent woman
31:58But Linda did not say anything incriminating
32:01That would give us the evidence necessary to charge her
32:06So investigators need to get more information from Dunn
32:10About what happened on the night of the fire
32:16Dunn reveals to me that he went over on the night of December the 18th
32:21And parked his car in Lola's driveway
32:23And goes in the house
32:25Him and Lola were friends
32:27And it wasn't uncommon for him to go visit with her
32:29Dunn and Lola were socializing
32:31And Lola asked him to fix her some tea
32:35And he slipped the sleeping pills in her drink
32:37While he was fixing the tea
32:41Charles tells them after Lola went to sleep
32:44He was able to go to his truck and retrieve the heater
32:47He brought the heater into the house
32:49Plugged it in, crumpled up newspapers
32:52And opened the valve to the propane tank
32:55That Linda had dropped off earlier
32:58And then he left the house and drove off into the night
33:02A few hours later the heater ignited the paper
33:05And caused the explosion
33:10Dunn told us the next day
33:12He went to Leigham's house
33:14And she paid him $1,000
33:15With the remainder of the balance to be paid
33:17In smaller increments over a period of time
33:20The things he told us lined up with the arson investigators' findings on the case
33:27Which led us to believe that Dunn was being truthful about what happened and how it was done
33:33At this point investigators got a judge to issue a search warrant for Linda's home
33:41When investigators went to Linda's house she was in shock
33:45She acted as if she didn't know why they was there
33:48While I was doing the search at Linda's house
33:51I located the four separate policies on Lola Young
33:55They also discovered another insurance policy that listed Linda as a beneficiary
34:04Set up for a man named Robert Stovall
34:09At this point investigators are concerned was Linda plotting more than one murder
34:18Investigators need to speak with Robert Stovall as soon as possible
34:22To find out if he knew Linda
34:25And if he agreed to make her a beneficiary of an insurance policy
34:32In checking up on his background
34:35We learned Robert lived in Somerville, Tennessee
34:38In a home designed for special needs fishing
34:42So we went to talk to him
34:45Investigators quickly realized that Robert Stovall is a 44 year old disabled man
34:52Who was incapable of agreeing to have an insurance policies taken out on him
34:59Not only did Robert Stovall not consent, he didn't even know Linda
35:03That within itself is a crime because in order to take out an insurance policy
35:11There must be consent from the insured party
35:15I'm thinking maybe Linda had also asked Dunn to kill Robert Stovall
35:21Investigators head to the jail to re-question Charles Dunn
35:26Dunn admits that after Lola's murder
35:30Linda then approached him with a request to kill Robert Stovall
35:35Linda offered him $10,000 to commit the murder
35:38And he said that he'd do it
35:42Dunn told me Linda's mother was Robert Stovall's home caregiver
35:48And this is how Linda learned about his disabilities
35:51And decided to target him in another insurance scam
35:54Fortunately, the scheme was never carried out
35:57Because Charles was arrested on unrelated charges
36:01Detectives had long believed that Linda was responsible for Lola's murder
36:07But they could not prove it until now
36:18Finally, more than two years after Lola's death
36:21We presented the facts of the case to a DeSoto County grand jury
36:26And a warrant was issued for Linda's arrest
36:30To look at Linda, you wouldn't think that we had a killer here
36:33But she was arrested for capital murder
36:36And conspiracy to commit capital murder
36:39Arson and three counts of fraud
36:46Well, I was pissed
36:48You were supposed to be my mom's best friend
36:50We treated you like family
36:52And now, you know, you're gonna do my mom in?
36:57I found it very disturbing
36:59I have never wanted to inflict harm on someone so bad
37:05Until that day
37:10Linda Ladum has gone from the nice lady next door that everybody knows to a criminal mastermind
37:17Just about everyone had concerns
37:20If for some reason she got found not guilty on the murder
37:24And only got convicted on the insurance fraud
37:26The time would have been minimal
37:27At this point, we still need to prove
37:30Linda plotted for months
37:32And then carried out a brutal murder
37:50This case had finally come to fruition
37:52The courtroom was packed
37:55Linda Ladum was stoic
37:57She didn't show a lot of emotion
38:00And Linda's defense was that
38:03Lula was a part of this plan
38:05To get the insurance policies benefits to her children
38:12But there was no way that Lula would have chosen that manner of death
38:18And the children didn't receive a dime from the policies
38:23And then prosecutors laid out all the evidence
38:27And piece together
38:29The steps of Linda Ladum's diabolical plan to kill
38:33That was two years in the making
38:40First, in 1992, Linda Ladum begins purchasing life insurance policies under Lula's name
38:46Those policies added up to nearly a million dollars
38:51Then two years later, in November 1994, she approaches Charles Wayne Dunn with a proposition
38:58And a complex plan to kill Lula in the fire
39:02Linda purchases a propane gas tank and asks Lula to keep it in her home
39:08Lula agrees, never questioning the motive of her friend
39:13The next day, Linda gives Dunn money to purchase a small space heater
39:19On the night before the fire, Charles Dunn goes over to Lula's house and spends time with her
39:26During the visit, he slips sleeping pills into her drink to sedate her
39:31Once Lula is asleep, Dunn retrieves the heater from his vehicle and sets it up inside the house
39:39He then crumples up paper, scatters it around the heater, and then opens up the propane tank
39:47After several hours, the combination of gas buildup and heat results in a deadly explosion
39:54And Lula dies in the fire
39:55The next morning, Linda pretends to be distraught over the death of her best friend
40:02Then, over the next few months, Linda cashes in on the four life insurance policies
40:11Linda Leatham had been planning my mother's demise for some time
40:18This was the most premeditated, coldest, callous murder that I've ever seen from an individual
40:28This wasn't just a murder
40:30It was a blueprint for the ultimate act of betrayal
40:45The court does not side in Linda's favor
40:48They find her guilty of capital murder
40:53And guilty of a conspiracy to commit capital murder
40:57The judge told her, and I quote,
40:59You do not deserve to stand in the light of freedom
41:03And I'm going to make sure that you never see the sunshine without a prison wall in front of it
41:11I hereby sentence you to life without the possibility of parole
41:15Plus, 20 years
41:21I feel like it was a just sentence
41:24Linda's got to wake up every day locked behind bars
41:27And think about why she's there and what she done with the person that she called a friend
41:46My mother never got to see my son
41:52I would like to think
41:54That she would be proud of who he is
41:57A kid that is more willing to help somebody than to hurt them
42:04My mom never hurt nobody
42:09She tried to help everybody
42:13And for a young man
42:17That never got to see his grandmother
42:20I see so much in him
42:23From her
42:27That makes my heart so good
42:31And that's what I want the world to know
