00:13I actually can sit in this business for days without seeing anyone coming in, so it's dropped off dramatically.
00:21It's also having an impact on city-based retailers.
00:24We have had some people fall out of deals that were already happening and they've said no, we'll leave it.
00:31In the wake of the deadly Bondi attack, the Federal Government set July as the target for legislation enforcing a
00:38national gun buyback scheme.
00:40But South Australia is one of four jurisdictions yet to sign up after bulking at a Federal Government push to
00:48limit the number of guns an individual can own.
00:51As it stands, we've got very good strong gun laws in our state and that's been true for some time.
00:56But naturally we'll always assess our options, but at the moment we are not rushing to change our position.
01:01New South Wales and the ACT have capped gun ownership since Bondi.
01:05That's making South Australians nervous, holding off purchasing firearms until the Government's position is clear.
01:12The shooting industry is urging the Federal Government to end the uncertainty by finalising negotiations with the states and territories.
01:21Until we actually know the framework that's going to happen around Australia, we're just seeing a real downturn in businesses
