00:19Now, Alina Abovian, for nearly a decade, was a well-known and beloved figure in the local news ecosystem.
00:26She was an on-air reporter and an anchor at KTLA until February, when she was let go as part
00:33of a large corporate restructuring.
00:35Now, you'd think an on-air reporter doesn't quite fit the conventional needs of a magazine, but these are unconventional
00:42times.
00:43And when Mark Garagos, the famed criminal defense attorney, bought Los Angeles Magazine, he's been trying out a number of
00:49different strategies, bringing on new leadership teams over the past four years.
00:54So we'll see. Maybe Alina Abovian is exactly what the oldest city magazine needs at this moment in time.
