00:05that had all these other kind of skill sets right and so I modeled and I walked
00:14New York Fashion Week when I was 14 and then I stopped modeling and just strictly
00:19was playing sports because my mom said that you know she couldn't afford for me
00:23to go to college and so I had to really focus in on my academics in basketball
00:27because I was gonna get a scholarship and I did but I always wanted to like
00:32Victoria's Secret I wanted to walk I wanted to do all these other things and
00:37I knew that brands I knew that other media outlets weren't giving us the
00:43attention we needed because I knew if they just showed our game that's what
00:46you connect to people didn't just all of a sudden like oh I just love like this
00:51player you buy product if you fall in love with a player you're watching my
00:54they have a headband on you were making your mom buy a headband yeah if you if
00:58you if they were telling stories about a player you learned more about them and
01:01you're like oh that they relate to me but I was also told that I needed to put my
01:08head down and focus on basketball and to now see the ladies even take it a step
01:14further because I never put my head down I kept doing what I needed to do I was
01:17standing on business but they're at another level they're running their brands
01:24in their companies in a way that is only going to make it better for the whole
01:28ecosystem because now they're allowed to be their authentic self and their
01:32authentic self means they're a hell of a basketball player and they're gonna
01:36compete win and get better but they also can step out at the Met they also can
01:40have a brand deal they also can have a company and nonprofits and I think all of
01:45the women across the board are taking advantage of that and that's what makes me
01:48kind of tear up is that the opportunity is now there and they're seizing the
01:52moment absolutely and I love it I just love to hear you speak about it I'm
01:56lingering on your every word just because it's so genuine it's so beautiful
02:00it's so pure and the ladies are so lucky to have you as a role model for real in
02:04this space and and that's gonna go beyond the gamut of when they see you in
02:09the analyst chair talking about them and giving them advice on their game too so I
02:14love that and also to what you said Victoria's Secret Sports Illustrated
02:17whatever it may be it is not too late come get her come get her okay call her
02:23two babies later I don't know but you know two babies later good that is we love it
