00:17Greetings comrades. Here from Beijing, the Chinese President Xi Jinping warned during talks with United States President Donald Trump today

00:26that Taiwan remains the most sensitive and central issue in China-United States relations and a core matter of national

00:36sovereignty.

00:37Xi stressed that safeguarding peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait is essential for the overall stability of bilateral ties.

00:49He warned that if the issue is not properly handled, it could lead to confrontation and even conflict between the

00:59two major superpowers.

01:02Seriously endangering the entire relationship.

01:06Xi reaffirmed that Beijing positioned that Taiwan is an inseparable part of China,

01:12and that the so-called Taiwan independence is incompatible with peace across the strait,

01:20describing both as fundamentally irreconciliable.

01:25The meeting took place against the backdrop of the recent United States sanctions and export restrictions

01:33targeting Chinese technology companies,

01:37adding further strain to the already tense bilateral relations.

01:42The measures have focused on strategic sectors such as semiconductors,

01:48artificial intelligence and satellite technologies,

01:52as well as trade networks linked to sensitive exports.

01:58Xi also noticed progress in economic consultations between Chinese and United States teams held in South Korea,
