Planting tomatoes, sweet corn, courgettes outside, intersowing turnips, and the barrel

It's a myth that night temperatures have to be above 10°C/50°F, before you plant tomatoes. In much of the UK, that does not happen until the middle of June!
I use fleece covers, as you can see, and it's the same for other warmth loving plants. Night temperatures, here are currently 6 to 9°C, high 40s Fahrenheit.
