00:00An analyst has suggested that PAS quit Perikata Nationale to dissociate itself from Bersatu's internal conflict and focus on becoming
00:08a dominant party.
00:09Global Asia Consulting's Ahmad Zaharudin Sani Ahmad Sabri said PAS should also leave the opposition coalition to show that upholding
00:17its principles is more important than obtaining power.
00:20He said PAS could start over and be free to form political alliances once it exits PN.
00:26Zaharudin also said PAS does not need to wait for a crumbling Bersatu and can leave PN in a dignified
00:31manner to join forces with other parties and a more stable bloc.
00:35He added that PN would be immediately crippled if PAS left because Bersatu has lost credibility and would sink without
00:41support from PAS.
00:43Zaharudin was commenting on Tunku Fakruddin Fauzi of PAS who had called for Bersatu to leave PN over its recent
00:49expulsions and suspensions of party members,
00:52though Tunku Fakruddin later said this was his personal view.
00:56Meanwhile, Academy Nusantara's Azmi Hassan brushed off Tunku Fakruddin's remark as a jab at Bersatu,
01:01saying it was baseless and that PAS should instead be urged to leave PN because Bersatu's internal strife had weakened
01:08the coalition.
