Minister of Energy Dr. Roodal Moonilal reiterates that the recent National Gas Company oil spill was at tier 1, or what he calls a "small spill."

He says, no press release was needed, as that is reserved for Tier 2 and up, with possible impact to fisherfolk, residents, the shoreline and so on.

Questioned as to whether the Ministry communicated with the Venezuelan Energy Minister on the spill, Dr. Moonilal has this response.
