Coco Gauff a encore dû batailler.

00:07Just curious, I mean, do you consider this your best performance of the week?
00:13Like my best or, yeah, I definitely think this match I was playing a lot better, especially with my foreign
00:19and return.
00:20I thought I did well with that.
00:22Obviously, I wish I could have closed it out a little bit earlier in the third, but I mean, she
00:26definitely raised her level.
00:27And, you know, I put myself in the position to win on pretty much every game.
00:34So, yeah, I think overall I'm definitely happy with how I played, yeah.
00:42Congratulations.
00:43When you think about last year, obviously this year it was three sets rather than two sets.
00:48Do you think she came at you with anything new technically or tactically?
00:52Yeah, I thought she played, I don't know, I thought overall she just played better.
00:57But I noticed some changes, but I don't think I'll say what I noticed.
01:03But I think I was able to adapt in the second and third for sure.
01:10In those conditions, the slow and heavy, it's obviously really hard to put the ball past you.
01:15I'm curious, do you actually like playing in conditions like this?
01:18And what is it like?
01:19Because, you know, a lot of players go on about how tough it is.
01:22I mean, obviously it's tough.
01:24Like, I think it's good for me, but also it is tough for me because, I don't know, I felt
01:29when the balls were getting heavy, it was tough.
01:31There was one game where I just felt like I could not get the return deep.
01:35I ended up winning the game, but I just felt like I couldn't get it deep enough in the court.
01:39And she was killing me on the short ball.
01:40So, yeah, I think it's a win-win and a lose-lose sometimes for me.
01:45I think it just depends on the player.
01:50You've had a couple of matches this week where you're the one coming back from big deficits or match point
01:54down.
01:55But when you're the one up and you feel your opponent is doing that, is it a change in mindset?
02:00And is it an insight into how your opponents felt this week?
02:03Yeah, I mean, honestly, it was tough.
02:06I think you have the lead, and I know when I play her, she can play great tennis at any
02:10moment.
02:11But I was also thinking, like, okay, I saved a match point in the last round, so I couldn't easily
02:18not be here today.
02:19So I think I was just trying to appreciate just being here, even if those match points weren't going my
02:24way.
02:25And I think it showed in my reaction every time I lost them.
02:31Completely off-topic, but I'm curious, what's the soundtrack to your winning this week and your comebacks?
02:37Like, what have you been listening to?
02:39Before matches, it's a lot of gospel music, honestly, because I've just been a little bit on edge lately.
02:43But it's just something to calm me down.
02:46But honestly, during the matches, I'm not really thinking about any music.
