01:24off of the tournament side and any match I can get,
01:28I'm happy to be there and I'm competing and I really like where my level is at
01:32when I'm out there and I'm playing.
01:34So, yeah, I mean, obviously as the tournament gets deeper,
01:38you're facing harder opponents for sure.
01:40And honestly, I'm just looking forward to it.
01:42And, yeah, I'm happy to be here, to be healthy and excited for some challenging matches.
01:48Hey, well done, Amanda.
01:50Is it funny to have been here for probably, what, 10 days or so
01:53and to have only played three sets and be in the third round?
01:57I mean, it's got to be one of the weirder first weeks of a tournament,
02:00of a Grand Slam that you've experienced, right?
02:03Well, I was also in Madrid and Rome and I didn't even play.
02:05So, it's definitely better in this scenario for sure.
02:10So, I was definitely used to it from that side.
02:13But, no, I mean, I'm still playing.
02:14I'm still going out there.
02:15You still, you know, get the nerves before the match.
02:18So, I'm obviously experiencing everything that comes with it.
02:21I just haven't spent as much time as some other players out there.
02:25And, honestly, it's probably a good thing for me because of the conditions.
02:29And I see how many players are struggling.
02:31So, yeah, I mean, I'm feeling good and I'm just happy to keep going.
02:36And can you compare the conditions for the time that you were out there today?
02:42I mean, I know you're from Florida and you're used to the heat.
02:46But, even so, it seems like it's challenging for lots of people.
02:51Yeah, I mean, for me, coming from Florida, I think I'm pretty used to it.
02:55And I had a lot of matches last year where the heat was a factor.
02:59And I feel like most of the time I was able to handle it quite well.
03:03Also, in Australia this year, I handled it pretty well.
03:07So, for me, it's not really a concern.
03:10But, obviously, if you can avoid it and avoid the load on your body, then it's beneficial.
03:15But, apart from that, I mean, I would be happy to play three sets and to play a really tough
03:21match.
03:22That's what I'm here for.
03:27Hi, Amanda.
03:28Well done.
03:29I know in your opening statement you kind of talked about how you're happy, where your tennis is right now.
03:33I guess coming into Roland Garros after, you know, not playing, you know, the clay court season to begin with,
03:38kind of what were your expectations and have they changed given these first two matches so far?
03:45No, I don't think anything's changed.
03:47I'm obviously just going with the flow and seeing, you know, are the things that I was training the last
03:54few months,
03:54are they coming into the match and are they working?
03:57And am I able to translate that into the matches that I'm playing?
04:01Because, obviously, practices and tournaments are really different.
04:03And it's hard to kind of transition into that of what you've worked on so many times
04:08and all the reps you've done into the match when there are nerves and stuff like that.
04:12And I'm really happy with the way that things have been showing up for me and the way I've been
04:17able to play.
04:19So, yeah, I'm honestly, I'm just taking it one day at a time.
04:22I'm happy to be in the third round.
04:24And I'm hoping that I can get pushed a bit more and have some fun and exciting matches.
