00:00That's why we shouldn't let the players vote for Bandoor, you bunch of lunatics, huh.
00:03We're going to go back to the 3 things that bothered me the most, and they're not the only ones.
00:06Dembélé, best player in Ligue 1, Désiré Doué, best young player in Ligue 1,
00:09and finally, the fact of having neither Esteban Lepol nor Joaquin Panicelli in the Ligue 1 best eleven.
00:14The first one, Ousmane Dembélé.
00:16So obviously, the debate isn't about the player's quality,
00:18We all know he's a fantastic player, there's no debate about that.
00:20But Dembélé has played 20 out of 33 matches this season.
00:23It's mainly 9 starts, and 960 minutes of playing time out of a possible 2970.
00:29In other words, in terms of playing time in minutes, Ousmane Dembélé played a third of the time.
00:32So yes, he's the best scorer in terms of ratio, 10 goals, 6 assists, that's not nothing.
00:36We know that Dembélé's contribution isn't just statistical, right?
00:38And it's worth noting that a majority of his goals are quite spectacular.
00:41But despite that, for me, we can't reward a player for so little playing time.
00:45I'm sorry, I prefer to nominate a player who is perhaps intrinsically less talented than Ousmane Dembélé.
00:49but who had much more playing time, who carried his team much more.
00:52For me, when you name the best player in a league, it's not necessarily the best player in terms of pure skill.
00:56But he's the player who contributed the most to his team.
00:59And Dembélé with so little playing time, well yes, when he played, he was really good.
01:02Even in the big matches against Marseille and Lille, he delivered.
01:05Then there's that goal which was voted the most beautiful goal in Ligue 1, and that,
01:08I think it's totally deserved.
01:10But despite that, for me, there are players who have had a greater impact in Ligue 1, like Ousmane Dembélé.
01:14As for why he was elected, I think there are two things.
01:16The first one is Ben Andorra, the current title holder.
01:17And the second, Dembélé, somewhat unlike some players who have passed through the club, whom I will not mention.
01:21the name,
01:22Otherwise I'll face legal action from Darona, you know who?
01:25Dembélé is a good guy, he's kind, he's funny, he's nice, he's even endearing
01:29the edges.
01:30That's everything the former number 7 of Paris Saint-Germain is not.
01:33So that's why Dembélé didn't need 43 goals and a 98% success rate.
01:37minutes played to get that title.
01:39Then, desired, gifted, best hope.
01:41So, obviously, there's no question of debating the player's quality,
01:44But for me, it's more of a hope, quite simply.
01:45So yes, he's still young enough to be a prospect, he's 20 years old if I don't say
01:48nonsense,
01:49But for me, he's already one of the great players, one of the very greatest players even.
01:52A brace in the Champions League final, major performances,
01:55Absolutely everyone in the world of football knows him.
01:57For me, it's no longer a hope, it's more like the little kid who just made it big.
02:00So of course, he has a whole career ahead of him in writing, I'm not saying he's finished yet, it's
02:02a great player who has written his name in history,
02:04But for me, the word hope disappears when you grow up, in terms of age.
02:07but it also disappears when you've truly blossomed and become a great player.
02:11And in any case, I would need to establish a rule regarding the percentage of minutes played per year.
02:15We would need another rule, in fact, where you cannot win that trophy twice in a row.
02:19To me, that's completely stupid.
02:20After that, it wasn't the worst, because Douai, as a result, went on to have two consecutive years of the
02:23title of best young prospect,
02:24But at the time, Mbappé had scored three times in a row.
02:26Meanwhile, there's a transfer worth 180 million.
02:29who had nevertheless hastened that, well, the player was no longer in the same dimension.
02:32And finally, the absence of Esteban Lepol or Rakin Paniceli in the Ligue 1 starting eleven.
02:36As for Lepol, you can explain to me all you want, but yes, these matches aren't that exceptional.
02:40That's all.
02:41Esteban Lepol is the top scorer in Ligue 1, that's what he's there for, he's a number 9.
02:44He is asked to do one thing, and that is to score goals; he scores his goals.
02:47But he deserved to be there, and the same goes for Rakin Paniceli.
02:50He's not the top scorer in Ligue 1, but he still managed 16 goals with
02:52Racing Club de Strasbourg.
02:54In addition to that, he's really become a beast of a player.
02:56So for me, he could just as easily have deserved his place at the forefront of that starting eleven.
