Marc Cucurella 🇪🇸 va signer finalement... au Real Madrid !

Le transfert de Marc Cucurella au Real Madrid fait particulièrement mal à l’Atlético. Le latéral gauche espagnol était suivi par les Colchoneros et le dossier semblait très avancé avant l’intervention du rival madrilène. Il quitte finalement Chelsea pour signer six saisons avec le Real, jusqu’en 2032, dans une opération estimée à 60 millions d’euros bonus compris.  Le choix du Real interroge pourtant. Fran García et Ferland Mendy sont toujours présents, tandis qu’Álvaro Carreras avait déjà été recruté pour 50 millions d’euros. Même si ce dernier a baissé de niveau après des débuts prometteurs, notamment dans les rencontres décisives, il reste un joueur de 23 ans sur lequel le club a lourdement investi.  Pour l’Atlético, Cucurella aurait répondu à un véritable besoin. Matteo Ruggeri peut apporter quelques bons centres et contenir certains ailiers, mais il n’offre pas les garanties d’un latéral de très haut niveau. Il ressemble davantage à une solution de rotation qu’à un titulaire capable d’élever immédiatement le niveau d’une équipe ambitieuse.  Le scénario est d’autant plus frustrant que Cucurella est passé par le FC Barcelone et avait déjà reconnu qu’un retour ne lui aurait pas déplu. Barcelone apparaissait donc comme le principal concurrent crédible. Voir finalement le Real récupérer le joueur, malgré un secteur déjà chargé, donne surtout l’impression d’une nouvelle recrue arrachée à l’Atlético.  Le cas Bernardo Silva était plus facile à accepter : ses demandes financières étaient importantes, son âge avançait et sa plus-value pouvait être discutée. Pour Cucurella, le besoin sportif était clair.
