00:30It's nice to have you here again sa show.
00:32Alright, well tell us about dito po sa Gaganaping Manila International Fashion Week.
00:37Ano po mga dapat asahan po na ating publico?
00:39Yeah, our MFW Season 7 will be on June 11 and 12.
00:45And we have a lot of guests from different countries.
00:47We have from Indonesia, Malaysia, and we have a lot of participants from Russia.
00:53It's more or less 30 participants from Russia, from Models.
00:59And also, we have from Thailand. We have a lot of guests from Thailand.
01:05It's going to be exciting again.
01:08Oo, parang nagiging ano na rin to, a platform to boost our tourism.
01:13Nakapapunta natin sila sa Pilipinas.
01:15Yan yung tagline ko. Parang fashion tourism.
01:19Kasi last year, we are able to bring more than 500 tourists from last year, last season.
01:27Of course, mafeature dito yung mga design ng iba't ibang mga fashion designers sa ibang mga bansa.
01:35Pero, paano natin mapapanatilid na maipakita pa rin na angat ang fashion industry dito sa Pilipinas?
01:44Actually, yun yung parang pinaka main purpose natin is to showcase yung talented designers natin.
01:51So, at least somehow, matutulungan natin yung mga emerging talents sa Philippines.
01:56And hindi na nila kailangan mag-travel outside the country para i-showcase yung kanilang collection.
02:03But, that's the main purpose, to bring tourists, bring international fashion experts dito sa Philippines.
02:12Okay. At saka, with this, parang magkakaroon din ng chance to talk about collaborations from Filipino designers and also foreign
02:19designers.
02:20May mga models tayo dito. Tell us about these creations or men?
02:23Yeah, for the female models, wearing Emily's C collection.
02:27And then, for the male models, wearing my suit collection, I combined modern fabrics and the local fabric.
02:39Ang ganda ng fabric din ng mga suits, tal us about that.
02:42That's from Vietnam.

02:45Ang ganda, no? Parang ninerge na yung, kumbaga, pagka-modern and also yung culture natin nakikita doon.
02:51Parang ang peg ko dyan is multicultural inspired collection.

02:56And also, yung mga suot naman ng mga female models, these are creations of Ms. Emily's C.
03:03Okay. So, sa ating mga manonood, gustong sumuporta, syempre, sa ating mga designers, how can they actually watch the event
03:11and be there in support of the designers?
03:13Pwede nilang mag-visit sa aming mga official social media account, Manila International Fashion Week, aming website, ManilaInternationalFashionWeek.com.
03:21And, ayun, pwede silang mag-reach out either Facebook, Instagram.
03:26So, marami silang dapat abangang sa more than 20 designers ang mag-showcase ng kanilang collection.
03:33Season 7 na ito, ha?
03:34Well, Sir Bench, kayo po ay isang international, renowned international fashion designer.
03:41At kung saan-saan po na kayo, bansa nakarating, no? Para i-feature yung mga creation ninyo.
03:47So, nasan level na po ba ang Philippine fashion pagdating sa global fashion?
03:54Actually, ang Philippine ay parang unti-unti na nakikilala talaga when it comes to fashion.
03:59And, na-discover talaga nila.
04:02And, kasi ang dami nating talented designers na eh.
04:05So, ngayon, I think it's time talaga to help talaga, lalo lang yung mga talented natin na designers.
04:14So, I think this is the right time.
04:16Okay. Well, for you, this is a very, I think, challenging din ito because you're bringing international designers dito sa
04:23Pilipinas.
04:24Ano yung kumbaga challenge also of organizing this event, Sir?
04:28Naku, to be honest, sobrang challenging talaga kasi yung lalo-lalo na yung logistics.
04:33And, you have to talk to more than thousands of people from, you know, behind the scene, mga designers, models.
04:43Pero, ayun nga, the more challenge, mas lalong na ano natin.
04:49The bigger the satisfaction for sure.
04:51Satisfaction.
04:51And, sabi ko nga kasi yung MIFW, this is not just an ordinary event.
04:56For me, this is a movement.
04:58Okay. Movement for?
05:00Fashion.
05:01Fashion. And, also, fashion tourism.
05:03Okay. So, mga interested na dumalo dito, makakita na mga bagon yung disenyo, no?
05:10So, may social media po ba or website na pwedeng bisitahin for details?
05:16Yes. It's Manila International Fashion Week, either on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and website as well.
05:22Okay. I'm sure for last na lang, Sir Benj.
05:24Because, nabanggit nga ni Audrey, you're an international fashion designer,
05:28for those na nagsisimula pa lang sa industry, I also want to make it big.
05:32Kasi yun naman talaga ang target nila to have their creation showcase international, in an international stage.
05:37Anong yung tips or recommendations?
05:39I think my advice is, start from, you know, collaborating with the people from the industry.
05:51And, don't stop dreaming.
05:53And, there's a lot of chance na ngayon.
05:56Kasi, di ba, we have social media, sobrang laking help.
05:59Oo, may mileage din talaga.
06:01Yes. And, who knows, madiscover kayo ng iba-ibang platform.
06:06Not just here in the Philippines, but internationally.
06:09So, actually, ako doon din nag-start eh.
06:12So, nag-start ako from scratch talaga.
06:14And, at least somehow ngayon, parang medyo, like, nakapag-showcase na ako from different countries.
06:21So, ayun, ano lang, sipagan lang natin and lalo natin pag-galingan sa ating craft.
06:28Mm-hmm. Yeah.
06:29Magpag-usapan natin yung pagiging creative mo, no?
06:32Pag sinabi bang bench value, fashion design, ano yung gusto mong tumatak sa, sa, isi ito mga tao?
06:38Sa akin, ano, parang gusto kong tumatak na, I'm creating clothes, not just, I want to earn, but, gusto kong
06:47maging, ano talaga, like, I want the people to look good.
06:51And, gusto kong ipagmalaki yung, ano natin, like, yung fabric natin.
06:55So, yun ang gusto kong, ano, yun talaga pinaka, ano ko, advocacy is to promote the local fabric and being
07:04a Filipino.
07:04Ayun na nga, pag tinitignan ko kanina yung mga suits na, na gamit ngayon, o suot na mga, na mga
07:11model, male model, ano, ang iisipin mo kagad.
07:13Pilipinas yan!
07:14Gawa yan ng Pinoy.
07:16Oo, gawa ng Pinoy yan.
07:18At sana ay maging mas accessible rin itong mga ganitong creations, ano, lalo na dun sa mga, mga iba't ibang
07:24communities natin.
07:25Para pag-suot nila yan, bit-bit rin nila ang kwento ng pagka-Pilipino.
