00:32Good morning and welcome to Rise and Shine, Pilipinas.
00:34Good morning.
00:35Okay, let's start with Sir Manu, the creative director.
00:38Tell us more about the Filipino Fashion Runway 2026.
00:47So, I've always been watching and being involved in the Filipino fashion industry
00:53for 30 years now.
00:55And every time we say na Pilipino at kultura,
01:00ang parating isipin automatic is mga terno, barong, piña, mga katutupong.
01:08But actually, that is not what we want to show now.
01:13Because that is culture and historical.
01:16Okay.
01:16What we want to know, to let people know, is that we are world class.
01:22So, what we want to tell people and the world in the fashion industry is that
01:27this is not about using our native stuff.
01:31But this is about competing with the world class people.
01:33But the native stuff also or the culturistic, historical set are being unconventional as well.
01:37Yes, and that is what I particularly want to tell the fashion designers.
01:46Kasi there's a time for that.
01:47Okay.
01:47And there's the museums for that.
01:50So, may resemblance pa din?
01:52Not all of it.
01:53Okay.
01:53Kunyari, kunyari, I have five collection, five dress collection.
01:57At least one, owed to the culture talaga na Pilipinos.
02:03Okay.
02:03The four, kailangan modern, kailangan to the world.
02:06Nakaya makipagsabayan.
02:08Nakaya makipagsabayan.
02:09Kasi like the French, the French don't say that this is how we wear French stuff.
02:15Okay.
02:15No, it's always world class.
02:16So, this time, gusto namin patunayan na we can also compete with world class people.
02:22Well, because we are world class, because we're Filipinos.
02:24Well, for Ms. Dawn, as the event host, go ahead.
02:26Yes, it showcases the talent of the Filipino designers and the craft friendship as well.
02:31Parte na sa thesis defense.
02:33Well, from your perspective, Ms. Dawn, as the event host, this is a big event.
02:48So, that's why we have this inclusivity rin.
02:50And so, regardless of the age, height, gender, we are all equal and part of this event.
02:57Okay.
02:58I understand, Sir Robert.
02:59We have 25 designers and 125 models.
03:04What's the message?
03:05Yung gusto natin ipabot through this big celebration of fashion and diversity.
03:09Go ahead, Sir.
03:10Sir Robert.
03:10Okay, microphone pass, please.
03:51What is this unique selling proposition, let me say that, USP, para yung maraming mga kabahay natin na susuporta doon
03:58sa modern and kakaibang style meron ka with your fashion?
04:01Ang ginagawa ko ngayon is gawa sa sako.
04:07Okay.
04:17Siyempre, as a fashion designer, kailangan kailangan gumawa tayo ng kakaiba, yung maaangat yung paggawang Pilipino pa rin.
04:28Okay.
04:29Well, for Ms. Aurora, as one of the designers as well, dito sa concept na culture becomes fashion,
04:35Well, we say na world class, pero paano pa rin natin pinapakita yung Filipino identity and yung culture sa bawat
04:41election?
04:41Kaakawang Pilipino.
04:42Yes.
04:43Sa runway piece.
04:44Yes po, good morning.
04:49Say niyo po, Ms. Aurora, how do you make sure meron pa rin onting Filipino resemblance or identity?
05:05Pero sa iyo, you want it to be different.
05:27Um, bags.
05:29Bags, okay.
05:30Well, in addition to that, no, one good thing about this is we are using indigenous materials.
05:36We have the upcycling and...
05:38Inclusive.
05:39Yes.
05:39Yon, like to lang na sabi niya, isasakwa, ganon.
05:41So, we are proud to pinanakayan natin pagkipagsabayan sa buong mundo.
05:45Okay.
05:46Go ahead, Sir Manu.
