09:49harrison got his wish cider man pleaded guilty to dangerous driving failure to provide driving
09:56whilst disqualified and no insurance he got a three-year nine-month ban had to pay 187 pounds in costs
10:04and was sent back to prison for 18 months plenty of time to sleep it off
10:12and harrison's not only skilled at stopping the bad guys
10:15yes keep going he's pretty handy at getting the good guys going again too great thank you
10:39i'm going back on my diet again because um i put on load of weight you need to be realistic
10:44callum no this is what i did last year i went from 93 kilos to 81 kilos last year
10:52by basically just primarily eating chicken and rice
11:00unlike callum's diet an interceptor shift can be a mixed bag

19:34so we've got four arrested at the minute on suspicion of burglary of the cannabis factory
19:39and they've all been bedded down now so they're going to be interviewed in the morning i can imagine
19:42once we've gathered some more evidence uh we've still got another unit at the factory on
19:47scene guard at the minute just making sure we collect all the evidence there and they'll then
19:51be processed and essentially from not knowing anything other than a black mercedes we've had a
19:57little pursuit and we've got four out of it and a decent amount recovered so a really good job
20:04the driver was found guilty of dangerous driving and failing to stop he received a 36-week suspended
20:10sentence and a two-year disqualification no action was taken against him or the passengers for the
20:16suspected burglary but cops did put the weed farm out of commission
20:24poor driving i am going to be coming up a 50-yard dash has tanya reaching for 50 000
20:32bumps what stop now or i'll tase you and a repeat disqualified driver you banned from driving okay well give

21:06over the last four years more than 37 000 people have been convicted of driving whilst banned
21:14why are you lying why are you disqualified do i have a portion of lessons you're disqualified oh man
21:22after all of that and over 8 000 of these so you're disqualified from driving
21:28are repeat offenders you're really going to struggle to get your license back after this one
21:35if they're choosing to carry on driving when they're disqualified they already don't don't
21:40care they've lost it once they they don't care about losing it again ultimately if they get arrested
21:43for driving whilst disqualified and then they get another disqualification it kind of yes they've
21:49been arrested but ultimately it doesn't really mean that much to them because they've already
21:51lost their license um it's when they then get prison time that's what they need
22:06most dodgy drivers go to great lengths to avoid the coppers

22:18and back on patrol harrison and tanya are keen to put a face to the impatient motorist

23:49then it looks stupid doesn't it tanya's run a quick check and it seems the bloke's been here
23:54before you've been disqualified twice three times yeah yeah have you ever had a driving license no i

24:15to ring you don't need to know you can send the car they want to ring the owner of the

26:19in the section 165 of the road traffic act and the driver's probably back off to prison

26:54going to be um contender for going back and getting remanded anyway so we'll see what happens

32:25highest for 13 years night he's just glad this accident wasn't worse a couple of hundred yards behind him
32:32is possibly driven through one of the most crowded parts of northampton um and it's bank holiday sunday
32:40um it'd be crowded with people this could have been so much worse as it was it's just metal that's

32:56the driver pleaded guilty to drink driving he was disqualified for 24 months and had to pay over a
33:04thousand pounds in fines my car's damaged there isn't it this is going to live with me to my dying

33:33the cops have been tipped off about a suspect staggering to his car and driving all over the shop
33:40all cluny and tanya slater have picked up the target eight miles southwest of northampton

35:02he struck tanya in his bit to escape so is now also wanted for assaulting an officer
35:10it's like that up to your little horse of house drive i can't see him
35:16cops don't like it when their colleagues are assaulted
35:24and the interceptors are desperate to feel the color of this wannabe tough guy
35:29you're gonna have every ops unit available basically making get some content off with the
35:33drone and the dogs making and try and nab the wanted male it's just smacked colleagues in the face
35:39harrison and tony are bringing some muscle and a bird's eye view is imminent

36:17tony and harrison arrive to find a greeting party of cops and one suspect in cuffs
36:29this charm is off to the nick for a breath test and it's been a great capture by the drone

36:39pitch black get the drone up drone's got really good infrared system on it so i'm flying at about
36:4690 meters infrared camera on ash pulls up with the dog and then i was like hang on a minute
36:52there's a man running in the middle of the field and just as ash was stood there with the dog
36:56so i was
36:56like ash he's just right here and then just talked everybody into the arrest point down there
37:02brilliant job in the end i'm so glad we got him violent nasty person
37:08it's you poor driving there's around 50 000 assaults on police officers each year but thankfully tanya
37:15have you got any red marks or anything go on have a look just spray tarts
37:21seems unharmed it's beautiful as ever queen

37:33the suspect refused to provide down the nick and had his day in court for failing to provide
37:38and obstructing and assaulting a police officer he received a 30-month driving disqualification
37:44200 hours unpaid work and had to pay 50 pounds in compensation to tanya
37:53we deal with you know volatile people all the time so there is not an expectation but there is a
37:58understanding that it might happen and i don't accept it and nobody should accept doing their job
38:05they deserve to be punched in the face or deserve to be any kind of assaulted in any way but
38:09it does
38:10happen um and we just have to try and protect ourselves as best as we can still to come
38:18what happens when you crash a modern polo into a classic golf
38:33the latest figures show this around 300 000 cars over the age of 40 on britain's roads
38:41and while these are often the pride and joy of their owners they tend not to have the safety
38:47features of modern vehicles
38:53so when you look at the new cars now because of the crumple zones you have so they're built in
38:58these areas behind the bumpers and in the side panels to allow more give so it's should there be
39:04an impact of some sort it doesn't encroach on the actual compartment where the driver or passengers
39:08aren't i mean older cars are nice to drive on a nice sunny day for a short trip trip somewhere
39:14but i
39:15think everyday driving now you've got to be in a modern car
39:29vehicle two was broken down in the road michael hollowwell and charlie ward are on their way to a crash
39:40where a vw polo has slammed into the back of a broken down golf
39:46home room
39:51fortunately there are no casualties reported so the priority is getting traffic safely moving again
40:05and although it looks like the officer on scene has it in hand
40:15we had to stay there watching it was amazing
40:19it starts sweeping michael's not afraid to pull his weight
40:33it takes a lot to shock an interceptor but this is a nasty looking collision
40:39the option i'm glad they weren't in that car are they on the stop oh jesus christ
40:47this classic 80s mark ii golf gti has definitely seen better days
41:01i'd be very upset if i own that car but that that was a lovely old golf
41:08what a shame eh he's looked after that hasn't he he really has it no
41:15lucky no no exactly yeah where was he when it happened broken down here where was he in the car
41:20uh no he was out there good good mercifully no one was inside or it would have been a very
41:28different story
41:30yeah very lucky
41:34could have been flames to me couldn't what do they say they just drove into the back there
41:37he's broken down one of the chaps was out walking up the road trying to wave at traffic
41:41so they're looking at him like what's he doing and then they've looked forward and this is
41:47there's minimal damage to the modern polo
41:52but the same can't be said for the old school golf
41:58like most old vehicles they fall apart when they get hit airbags have protected them
42:04i don't think this would have airbags because of the year the vehicle so
42:09again you're relying on the shell of the car to take the brunt and protect the people inside and
42:15like we just said anyone in the back could well have been seriously injured because you can see
42:19that they've punted it a good 12 feet from impact so 70 miles an hour they're barely braked by looks
42:26of it and the car's taken the brunt of it it's a very sad state of affairs these are i
42:31mean i'm of
42:31an age where this is my type of car when i was a teenager and uh very nice car
42:41michael loves his motors and his old 1983 mark 3 escort rs turbo remains his dream car
42:49but he also has a soft spot for the golf gti
