00:09The Venezuelan government affirmed the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela's running protest,
00:14the statements made by United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres regarding the Venezuelan state
00:19as it considers them to contain assertions unbecoming of its high office
00:23and contrary to the principles of objectivity, prudence, impartiality and good faith
00:28established in the Charter of the United Nations.
00:30In addition, the document said,
00:32these statements reflect the progressive deterioration of a Secretary General
00:37incapable of effectively contributing to peace and the resolution of the major conflicts
00:42that today shape humanity to its core,
00:44while the genocide against the Palestinian people, the spread of wars
00:47and the application of unilateral coercive measures against sovereign peoples persist.
00:52The Secretary General maintains a stance of silence or ambiguity
00:56that undermines its moral authority.
00:58Never before has the United Nations faced such a profound erosion of its credibility
01:04in the eyes of the peoples of the world.
01:06The Secretariat has been unable to ensure balance and adherence to the principles of the UN Charter
01:11in the face of current global challenges.
01:13The statement concluded,
01:14The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela recalls that Article 100 of the Charter of the United Nations
01:20applies to the Secretary General to act with neutrality, impartiality and independence,
01:24preserving the legitimacy of the organization and respect for international law.
